Version
Psalm 37:1-9

37 Do not fret because of wicked men, nor be envious of evildoers.

For they shall soon be cut down like grass and shall wither as the green herb.

Trust in the LORD and do good. Dwell in the land, and you shall assuredly be fed.

And delight yourself in the LORD; and He shall give you your heart’s desire.

Commit your way to the LORD, and trust in Him; and He shall make it so.

And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noon day.

Wait patiently upon the LORD, and hope in Him. Do not fret over him who prospers in his way, nor over the man who executes wicked schemes.

Cease from anger and abandon wrath. Do not fret. It leads only to evil.

For evildoers shall be cut off; and those who wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the land.

2 Kings 19:8-20

So, Rabshakeh returned and found the king of Assyria fighting against Libnah (for he had heard that he had departed from Lachish).

Also, about Tirhakah, king of Ethiopia, he heard men say, “Behold, he has come out to fight against you.” Therefore, he departed and sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

10 “Thus shall you speak to Hezekiah, king of Judah, and say, ‘Do not let your God in Whom you trust deceive you, saying, “Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

11 ‘Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, how they have destroyed them. And shall you be delivered?

12 ‘Have the gods of the heathen delivered those whom my fathers have destroyed—Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden—who were in Telassar?

13 ‘Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Shepharvaim, Hena and Ivah?’”

14 So Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it. And Hezekiah went up into the House of the LORD. And Hezekiah spread it before the LORD.

15 And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, “O LORD God of Israel, Who dwells between the Cherubim. You are Elohim, alone over all the kingdoms of the Earth. You have made Heaven and Earth.

16 “LORD, bow down Your Ear, and hear.: LORD, open Your Eyes and behold. And hear the words of Sennacherib, who has sent to blaspheme the living God.

17 “It is true, LORD, that the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,

18 “and have set fire on their gods. For they were no gods, but the work of man’s hands, wood and stone. Therefore, they destroyed them.

19 “Now therefore, O LORD our God, I pray, save us out of his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the Earth may know that You, O LORD, are the only God.”

20 Then Isaiah, the son of Amoz, sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘I have heard that which you have prayed to Me concerning Sennacherib, king of Assyria.’

2 Kings 19:35-37

35 And the same night, the Angel of the LORD went out and struck a hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of Assyria. So, when they rose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

36 So Sennacherib, king of Assyria, departed and went his way and returned and dwelt in Nineveh.

37 And as he was in the Temple worshipping Nisroch, his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, killed him with the sword. And they escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon, his son, reigned in his place.

Revelation 2:12-29

12 “And to the angel of the Church which is at Pergamos write: ‘Thus says He Who has that sharp sword with two edges,

13 ‘I know your works, and where you dwell, even where Satan’s throne is. And you keep My Name, and have not denied My faith; even in those days when Antipas, My faithful martyr, was slain among you where Satan dwells.

14 “But I have a few things against you because you have those there who maintain the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel so that they would eat of things sacrificed to idols and commit fornication.

15 Even so, you have those who maintain the doctrine of the Nicolaitans (which I hate).

16 Repent, or else I will come to you shortly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

17 “Let he who has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the Churches. To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the manna that is hidden; and will give him a white stone; and in the stone a new name written, which no one knows except he who receives it.

18 “And to the angel of the Church which is at Thyatira write: ‘These things says the Son of God, Who has eyes like a flame of fire, and feet like fine brass.

19 ‘I know your works and your love, and service and faith, and your patience; and that the works of those at the last are more than those at the first.

20 ‘Notwithstanding, I have a few things against you: that you put up with the woman, Jezebel. She calls herself a prophetess; to teach and to deceive my servants, to make them commit fornication, and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.

21 ‘And I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she did not repent.

22 ‘Behold, I will cast her into a bed - and those who commit fornication with her into great affliction - unless they repent of their works.

23 ‘And I will kill her children with death. And all the Churches shall know that I am He who searches the deepest motives and hearts. And I will give to every one of you according to your works.

24 ‘And to you I say, ‘The rest of them of Thyatira, as many as have not received this learning, nor have known the deepness of Satan (as they speak), I will put upon you no other burden.

25 But to that which you have already, hold fast till I come.

26 ‘For he who overcomes and keeps My words to the end, to him I will give power over nations.

27 ‘And he shall rule them with a rod of iron. And as the vessels of a potter, shall they be broken.

28 ‘Even as I received from My Father, so will I give him the Morning Star.

29 ‘Let he who has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the Churches.’”
