21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Version
Psalm 112

112 Praise ye the Lord! Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in His commandments.

His seed shall be mighty upon the earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house, and his righteousness endureth for ever.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness; he is gracious and full of compassion and righteous.

A good man showeth favor and lendeth; he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Surely he shall not be moved forever; the righteous shall be held in everlasting remembrance.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.

His heart is established; he shall not be afraid until he sees his desires upon his enemies.

He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honor.

10 The wicked shall see it and be grieved, he shall gnash with his teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Proverbs 21:1-4

21 The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; as the rivers of water, He turneth it whithersoever He will.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord pondereth the hearts.

To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

A haughty look and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, are sin.

Proverbs 21:24-26

24 Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

25 The desire of the slothful killeth him, for his hands refuse to labor;

26 he coveteth greedily all the day long, but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

Matthew 20:20-28

20 Then came to Him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshiping Him and desiring a certain thing of Him.

21 And He said unto her, “What wilt thou?” She said unto Him, “Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on Thy right hand and the other on the left in Thy Kingdom.”

22 But Jesus answered and said, “Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said unto Him, “We are able.”

23 And He said unto them, “Ye shall drink indeed of My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared by My Father.”

24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25 But Jesus called them unto Him and said, “Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26 But it shall not be so among you; but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27 and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant,

28 even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
