Version
Isaiah 58:9-14

Then you shall call, and Yahweh himself will answer.
You shall cry for help, and he will say, ‘Here I am!’
If you remove from among you the yoke,
    the finger-pointing[a] and evil speech,[b]
10 if[c] you offer your soul to the hungry,
and you satisfy the appetite of the afflicted,
then[d] your light shall rise in the darkness,
and your darkness will be like noon.
11 And Yahweh will lead you continually, and satisfy your soul in a barren land,
and he will strengthen your bones,
and you shall be like a well-watered garden,
and like a spring of water whose water does not fail.
12 And they shall rebuild ancient ruins from you;
you shall erect the foundations of many generations,[e]
and you shall be called[f] the bricklayer of the breach,
the restorer of paths to live in.
13 If you hold your foot back from the Sabbath,
from doing your affairs on my holy day,[g]
if[h] you call the Sabbath a pleasure,
the holy day of Yahweh honorable,
if[i] you honor him more than[j] doing your ways,
than finding your affairs[k] and speaking a word,
14 then you shall take your pleasure in[l] Yahweh,
and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth,
and I will feed you the heritage of Jacob your ancestor,[m]

for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.”

Psalm 103:1-8

Thanksgiving for Yahweh’s Compassion

Of David.[a]

103 Bless Yahweh, O my soul,
and all within me, bless his holy name.
Bless Yahweh, O my soul,
and do not forget all his benefits:
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with loyal love and mercies,
who satisfies your life with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Yahweh does deeds of justice
and judgments for all who are oppressed,
who made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people[b] of Israel.
Yahweh is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger[c] and abundant in loyal love.

Hebrews 12:18-29

18 For you have not come to something that can be touched, and to a burning fire, and to darkness, and to gloom, and to a whirlwind, 19 and to the noise of a trumpet, and to the sound of words which those who heard begged that not another word be spoken to them. 20 For they could not endure what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned.”[a] 21 And the spectacle was so terrifying that Moses said, “I am terrified and trembling.”[b] 22 But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem, and to tens of thousands of angels, to the festal gathering 23 and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous people made perfect, 24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood[c] that speaks better than Abel’s does.

25 Watch out that you do not refuse the one who is speaking! For if those did not escape when they[d] refused the one who warned them on earth, much less will we escape,[e] if we[f] reject the one who warns from heaven, 26 whose voice shook the earth at that time, but now he has promised, saying,

“Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also heaven.”[g]

27 Now the phrase “yet once more” indicates the removal of what is shaken, namely, things that have been created, in order that the things that are not shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we[h] are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be thankful, through which let us serve God acceptably, with awe and reverence. 29 For indeed our God is a consuming fire.

Luke 13:10-17

A Woman with a Disabling Spirit Healed

10 Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, a woman was there[a] who had a spirit that had disabled her[b] for eighteen years, and she was bent over and not able to straighten herself up completely.[c] 12 And when he[d] saw her, Jesus summoned her[e] and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability!” 13 And he placed his[f] hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and glorified God. 14 But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, answered and[g] said to the crowd, “There are six days on which it is necessary to work. Therefore come and[h] be healed on them, and not on the day of the Sabbath!” 15 But the Lord answered and said to him, “Hypocrites! Does not each one of you untie his ox or his[i] donkey from the feeding trough on the Sabbath and lead it[j] away to water it?[k] 16 And this woman, who is a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan bound eighteen[l] long years—is it not necessary that she be released from this bond on the day of the Sabbath?” 17 And when[m] he said these things, all those who opposed him were humiliated, and the whole crowd was rejoicing at all the splendid things that were being done by him.
