Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
12 “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that same time. And at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one who shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
16 Preserve me, O God, for in Thee do I put my trust.
2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, “Thou art my Lord; my goodness extendeth not to Thee,
3 but to the saints that are on the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.”
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied, that hasten after another god; their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names upon my lips.
5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup; Thou maintainest my lot.
6 The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 I will bless the Lord who hath given me counsel; my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my spirit rejoiceth; my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For Thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt show me the path of life; in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering time and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down at the right hand of God,
13 from henceforth to wait until His enemies be made His footstool.
14 For by one offering He hath perfected for ever those who are sanctified.
15 Of this the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us; for after He had said before,
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore boldness, brethren, to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 by a new and living Way, which He hath consecrated for us through the veil (that is to say, His flesh),
21 and having a High Priest over the house of God,
22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering (for He is faithful who promised),
24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works,
25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as ye see the Day approaching.
13 And as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said unto Him, “Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!”
2 And Jesus answering, said unto him, “Seest thou these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down.”
3 And as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him privately,
4 “Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?”
5 And Jesus answering them, began to say, “Take heed lest any man deceive you.
6 For many shall come in My name, saying, ‘I am Christ!’ and shall deceive many.
7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be ye not troubled, for such things must come to pass; but the end shall not be yet.
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.
