Version
Psalm 91:9-16

[a]For you have made Yahweh—(A)my refuge,
The Most High—(B)your dwelling place.
10 (C)No evil will befall you,
And no plague will come near your [b]tent.

11 For He will command (D)His angels concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will (E)bear you up,
Lest you strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will (F)tread upon the fierce lion and cobra,
The young lion and the [c]serpent you will trample down.

14 (G)Because he has loved Me, therefore I will protect him;
I will (H)set him securely on high, because he has (I)known My name.
15 He will (J)call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in his [d]distress;
I will rescue him and (K)honor him.
16 With [e]a (L)long life I will satisfy him
And (M)I will show him My salvation.”

Genesis 14:17-24

Melchizedek Blesses Abram

17 Then after he came back from striking down Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, (A)the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the valley of Shaveh (that is, (B)the King’s Valley). 18 And (C)Melchizedek king of Salem brought out (D)bread and wine; now he was a (E)priest of [a]God Most High. 19 Then he blessed him and said,

“Blessed be Abram of [b]God Most High,
[c](F)Possessor of heaven and earth;
20 And blessed be [d]God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

(G)Then he gave him a tenth of all. 21 And the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give the [e]people to me, but take the possessions for yourself.” 22 Then Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have [f]raised my hand to Yahweh [g](H)God Most High, [h](I)possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that (J)I will not take a thread or a sandal strap or anything that is yours, so that you would not say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’ 24 [i]I will take nothing except what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me, (K)Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their share.”

Romans 15:7-13

Christ, the Hope of Jews and Gentiles

Therefore, (A)accept one another, just as Christ also accepted [a]us to the glory of God. For I say that Christ has become a servant to (B)the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm (C)the promises given to the fathers, and for (D)the Gentiles to (E)glorify God for His mercy; as it is written,

(F)Therefore I will [b]give praise to You among the Gentiles,
And I will sing to Your name.”

10 And again he says,

(G)Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people.”

11 And again,

(H)Praise the [c]Lord all you Gentiles,
And let all the peoples praise Him.”

12 And again Isaiah says,

(I)There shall come (J)the root of Jesse,
And He who arises to rule over the Gentiles,
(K)In Him shall the Gentiles hope.”

13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all (L)joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope (M)by the power of the Holy Spirit.
