Jubilee Bible 2000 (JUB)
Version
Psalm 90:12-17

12 ¶ Cause us to learn this that we might number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

13 Return unto us, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy slaves.

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy, and we shall sing and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad according to the days in which thou hast afflicted us and the years in which we have seen evil.

16 Let thy work appear in thy slaves and thy glory upon their sons.

17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, and set thou aright the work of our hands upon us; yea, set thou aright the work of our hands.

Amos 3:13-4:5

13 Hear ye, and protest in the house of Jacob, said the Lord GOD, the God of the hosts,

14 that in the day that I shall visit the rebellions of Israel upon him, I will also visit upon the altars of Bethel, and the horns of the altar shall be cut off and fall to the ground.

15 And I will smite the winter house with the summer house, and the houses of ivory shall perish, and many houses shall be cut off, said the LORD.

¶ Hear this word, ye cows of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.

The Lord GOD has sworn by his holiness that, behold, the days shall come upon you that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity in fishing boats.

And ye shall go forth by the breaches one after another, and ye shall be cast out of the palace, saith the LORD.

Go to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal increase the rebellion; and bring your sacrifices early in the morning and your tithes every three years:

and offer a sacrifice of praise with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free will offerings for this is the way you like it, O ye sons of Israel, said the Lord GOD.

Matthew 15:1-9

15 ¶ Then certain scribes and Pharisees of Jerusalem came unto Jesus, saying,

Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.

But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother, and, He that curses father or mother, let him die without recourse.

But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, Whatever I might have helped thee with is already my offering unto God,

and now has no need to honour his father or his mother with succour. Thus ye have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.

Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,

This people draws nigh unto me with their mouth and honours me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

But in vain do they worship me, teaching doctrines and commandments of men.
