Psalm 5

Hear my words, O LORD. Understand my meditation.

Hear the voice of my cry, my King and my God. For to you I pray.

Hear my voice in the morning, O LORD. In the morning I will direct myself to You, and I will wait.

For You are not a God Who loves wickedness, nor shall evil dwell with You.

The foolish shall not stand in Your sight. You hate all those who work iniquity.

You shall destroy those who speak lies. The LORD will abhor the bloody man, and deceitful.

But I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy. In Your fear I will worship toward Your Holy Temple.

Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness, because of my enemies. Make Your way plain before my face.

For no constancy is in their mouth. Inside they are very corruption. Their throat is an open sepulcher. They flatter with their tongue.

10 Destroy them, O God. Let them fall from their counsels. Cast them out for the multitude of their iniquities, because they have rebelled against You.

11 And let all those who trust in You rejoice, and triumph forever. And cover them. And let those who love Your Name rejoice in You.

12 For You, LORD, will bless the righteous. You will surround him with favor, as with a shield. To him who excels on Neginoth, upon the eight tune: A Psalm of David.

Zechariah 10

10 “Ask for rain from the LORD in the time of the latter rain and the LORD shall make white clouds and give you showers of rain, and grass in the field to everyone.

“Surely, the idols have spoken vanity, and the soothsayers have seen a lie, and the dreamers have foretold a vain thing. They comfort in vain. Therefore, they went away as sheep. They were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

“My wrath was kindled against the shepherds, and I visited the goats. But the LORD of Hosts will visit His flock, the House of Judah, and will make them like His beautiful horse in the battle.

“Out of him shall the corner come forth, out of him the nail, out of him the bow of battle, out of him every oppressor, together.

“And they shall be as the mighty men who tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle. And they shall fight because the LORD is with them. And the riders on horses shall be confounded.

“And I will strengthen the House of Judah. And I will preserve the House of Joseph. And I will bring them back, for I pity them. And they shall be as though I had not cast them off. For I am the LORD their God and will hear them.

“And they of Ephraim shall be as a giant. And their hearts shall rejoice as through wine. Yea, their children shall see it and be glad. Their heart shall rejoice in the LORD!

“I will whistle for them and gather them. For I have redeemed them. And they shall increase, as they have increased.

“And I will sow them among the people. And they shall remember Me in far countries. And they shall live with their children and turn back.

10 “I will also bring them back out of the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria. And I will bring them into the land of Gilead, and Lebanon. And no place shall be found for them.

11 “And he shall go into the sea with affliction and shall strike the waves in the sea. And all the depths of the river shall dry up. And the pride of Assyria shall be cast down. And the scepter of Egypt shall depart away.

12 “And I will strengthen them in the LORD. And they shall walk in His Name,” says the LORD.

Matthew 18:6-9

“But whoever shall cause one of these little ones who believes in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depths of the sea.

“Woe to the world because of offenses. For it must be that snares shall come. But woe be to the man by whom the stumbling block comes.

“Therefore, if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut them off and cast them from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame, or maimed, than - having two hands or two feet - to be cast into everlasting fire.

“And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, than (having two eyes) to be cast into Hell fire.
