New Life Version (NLV)
Version
Psalm 78:23-29

23 Yet He spoke to the clouds above, and opened the doors of heaven. 24 He sent down bread from heaven for them to eat. He gave them food from heaven. 25 Men ate the bread of angels. He sent them all the food they could eat. 26 He made the east wind blow in the heavens. And He brought in the south wind by His power. 27 He sent meat down on them like dust, winged birds like the sand of the sea. 28 He let them fall in the place where they were staying, all around their tents. 29 So they ate until they were full. He gave them what they wanted.

Exodus 12:43-13:2

How the Passover Supper Should Be Eaten

43 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the Law of the Passover. No stranger may eat of it. 44 But every servant who is bought with money may eat of it, only after he has gone through the religious act of becoming a Jew. 45 A stranger or paid servant may not eat of it. 46 It must be eaten in one house. You must not carry any of the meat outside the house. And you must not break a bone of it. 47 All the people of Israel must remember this. 48 But when a stranger staying with you wants to share in this special supper to the Lord, let all his men and boys go through the religious act of becoming a Jew. Then let him come near to share in the special supper. He will be like one who is born in the land. But no person who has not gone through the religious act may eat of it. 49 The same law is for the one who is born in the land and for the stranger who stays among you.”

50 Then all the people of Israel did just as the Lord had told Moses and Aaron. 51 On that same day the Lord brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their family groups.

The First-Born Given to God

13 The Lord said to Moses, “Set apart to Me every first-born male. The first-born male among the people of Israel, and the first-born male animal are Mine.”

1 Corinthians 11:27-34

27 Anyone who eats the bread or drinks from the cup, if his spirit is not right with the Lord, will be guilty of sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord. 28 This is why a man should look into his own heart and life before eating the bread and drinking from the cup. 29 Anyone who eats the bread and drinks from the cup, if his spirit is not right with the Lord, will be guilty as he eats and drinks. He does not understand the meaning of the Lord’s body. 30 This is why some of you are sick and weak, and some have died. 31 But if we would look into our own lives and see if we are guilty, then God would not have to say we are guilty. 32 When we are guilty, we are punished by the Lord so we will not be told we are guilty with the rest of the world.

33 Christian brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for each other. 34 If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home. Then he will not be guilty as you meet together. I will talk about the other things when I come.
