Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
23 They are renewed every morning. Great is Your faithfulness!
24 “The LORD is my portion;” says my soul, “therefore, I will hope in Him!”
25 The LORD is good to those who trust in Him, to the soul that seeks Him.
26 It is good to wait, watchfully yet silently, for the salvation of the LORD.
27 It is good for a man that he bears the yoke in his youth.
28 He sits alone and keeps silent because he has borne it upon him.
29 Let him put his mouth in the dust. Perhaps there may be hope.
30 He gives his cheek to him who strikes him. He is fully filled with reproach.
31 For the LORD will not forsake forever.
32 But though He sends affliction, He will still have compassion, according to the multitude of His mercies.
33 For He does not afflict willingly or grieve the children of men.
30 I will magnify You, O LORD. You have exalted me and have not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2 O LORD, my God, I cried to You; and You have restored me.
3 O LORD, You have brought up my soul out of the grave. You have revived me from those who go down into the pit.
4 Sing praises to the LORD, His Saints, and give thanks before the remembrance of His Holiness.
5 For His anger endures but a while. In His favor is life. Weeping may abide at evening, but joy comes in the morning.
6 And in my prosperity, I said, “I shall never be moved.”
7 For You, LORD, from Your goodness, had made my mountain to stand strong. You hid Your face, and I was troubled.
8 Then I cried to You, O LORD, and prayed to my LORD.
9 What profit is there in my blood when I go down to the pit! Shall the dust give thanks to You? Or shall it declare Your Truth?
10 Hear, O LORD; and have mercy upon me. LORD, be my Helper.
11 You have turned my mourning into joy. You have loosened my sackcloth and girded me with gladness.
12 Therefore, my tongue shall praise You, and not cease. O LORD, my God, I will give thanks to You forever. To him who excels: A Psalm of David.
7 Therefore, as you abound in everything - in faith and Word and knowledge and in all diligence and in your love towards us - see that you also abound in this grace.
8 This I say not by Commandment, but because of the diligence of others. Therefore, I prove the sincerity of your love.
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ: that He, being rich, became poor for your sakes. So that you, through his poverty, might be made rich.
10 And in this I give my counsel. For it is profitable for those of you who a year ago began not only to do, but also to will.
11 Now therefore, complete the doing of it also. So that as there was a readiness of will, you may also complete it out of that which you have.
12 For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted, according to what one has, and not according to what he has not.
13 Nor should others be eased, and you grieved. But out of equality, your abundance supplies their lack at this time.
14 And also their abundance may be for your lack, that there may be equality.
15 As it is written, “He who gathered much, did not abound, and he who gathered little, did not lack.
21 And when Jesus had come over again by ship to the other side, a great multitude gathered together to Him. And He was near the sea.
22 And behold, there came one of the rulers of the synagogue whose name was Jairus. And when he saw Him, he fell down at His feet,
23 and urgently begged Him, saying, “My little daughter lies at point of death! I beg You to come and lay Your hands on her, so that she may be healed and live!”
24 Then Jesus went with him. And a great multitude followed Him.
25 And there was a certain woman who had been diseased with an issue of blood for twelve years.
26 And she had seen many physicians and had spent all that she had. And it had availed her nothing. But rather she had become much worse.
27 When she had heard of Jesus, she joined the following crowd and touched His garment.
28 For she said, “If I may but touch His clothes, I shall be whole.”
29 And instantly, the course of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And immediately, when Jesus knew in Himself the power that went out of Him, He turned and looked at the crowd, and said, “Who has touched My clothes?
31 And His disciples said to Him, “You Yourself see the crowd, and say, ‘Who touched Me?’”
32 And He looked around and saw her who had done it.
33 And the woman feared and trembled. For she knew what had been done in her. And she came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole. Go in peace and be whole of your plague.”
35 While He was still speaking, there came from that same ruler of the synagogue’s house certain ones who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Master any further?”
36 As soon as Jesus heard that word spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid. Only believe.”
37 And He allowed no one to follow Him except Peter, James and John (the brother of James).
38 So He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue and saw the tumult and those who wept and wailed greatly.
39 And He went in, and said to them, “Why do you make this trouble, and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeps.”
40 And they ridiculed Him. But He put them all out and took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with him and entered in where the child lay.
41 And He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha cumi,” which is by interpretation, “Maiden, I say to you, arise.”
42 And immediately the maiden arose and walked (for she was twelve years old). And they were most greatly astonished.
43 And He strictly charged them that no one should know of it. And commanded to give her food.
