107 Praise the LORD, because He is good; for His mercy endures forever.

² Let those who have been redeemed by the LORD show how He has delivered them from the hand of the oppressor—

³ and gathered them out of the lands—from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.

²³ Those who go down to the sea in ships, occupying by the great waters,

²⁴ they see the works of the LORD, and His wonders, in the deep.

²⁵ For He commands and raises the stormy wind; and it lifts up the waves thereof.

²⁶ They mount up to the heaven, descend to the deep, so that their soul melts for trouble.

²⁷ They are tossed to and fro and stagger like a drunken man. And all their cunning is gone.

²⁸ Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distress.

²⁹ He turns the storm to calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

³⁰ When they are quieted, they are glad; and He brings them to the haven where they wish to be.

³¹ Let them confess, before the LORD, His lovingkindness, and His wonderful works before the sons of men.

³² And let them exalt Him in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the assembly of the elders.

37 “At this, also, my heart is astonished, and is moved out of its place.

² “Hear the sound of His voice, and the noise that goes out of His Mouth.

³ “He directs it under the whole heaven, and His light to the ends of the world.

⁴ “After it, a noise sounds. He thunders with the Voice of His majesty. And He will not stop them when His Voice is heard.

⁵ “God thunders marvelously with His Voice. He works great things which we do not know.

⁶ “For He says to the snow, ‘Be upon the Earth,’ likewise to the small rain and to the great rain of His power.

⁷ “With its force He shuts up every man, so that all men may know His work.

⁸ “Then the beasts go into the den and remain in their places.

⁹ “The whirlwind comes out of the South, and the cold from the North wind.

¹⁰ “At the breath of God the frost is given and the breadth of the waters is made narrow.

¹¹ “He also makes the clouds labor to water, and scatters the cloud with His light.

¹² “And it is turned by His guidance, so that they may do whatever He commands them upon the whole world.

¹³ “Whether it be for punishment, or for His land, or from mercy, He causes it to come.

²⁵ “Then there shall be signs in the Sun, and in the Moon, and in the stars, and trouble upon the Earth among the nations, with confusion. The sea and the waters shall roar.

²⁶ “And men’s hearts shall fail them for fear and for looking after those things which shall come upon the world. For the powers of Heaven shall be shaken.

²⁷ “And then shall they see the Son of Man come in a cloud, with power and great Glory.

²⁸ “And when these things begin to happen, then look up and lift up your heads! For your redemption draws near!”
