130 Out of the depths have I cried unto Thee, O Lord;

² Lord, hear my voice! Let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

³ If Thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

⁴ But there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared.

⁵ I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.

⁶ My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning— I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

⁷ Let Israel hope in the Lord, for with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.

⁸ And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

³⁴ “And the Lord heard the voice of your words and was wroth, and swore, saying,

³⁵ ‘Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land which I swore to give unto your fathers,

³⁶ save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the Lord.’

³⁷ Also the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, saying, ‘Thou also shalt not go in thither.

³⁸ But Joshua the son of Nun, who standeth before thee, he shall go in thither. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

³⁹ Moreover your little ones, who ye said should be a prey, and your children, who in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither; and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.

⁴⁰ But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.’

5 For we know that if our earthly house, this tabernacle, were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

² For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed about with our house which is from Heaven,

³ that, being so clothed, we shall not be found naked.

⁴ For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened, not because we would be unclothed, but clothed about, that mortality might be swallowed up by life.

⁵ Now He that hath wrought us for this selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the pledge of the Spirit.
