Version
Psalm 70

To the Overcomer, A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.

Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.

Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my life; let them be turned backward and put to confusion that desire my hurt.

Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee, and let such as love thy saving health say continually, Let God be magnified.

But I am poor and destitute; make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

Amos 3:1-12

¶ Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O sons of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore, I will visit all your iniquities against you.

Can two walk together except they be agreed?

Will a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey? Will a young lion cry out of his den if he has taken nothing?

Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth without a fowler? Shall the snare rise up from the earth and have taken nothing at all?

Shall the shofar be blown in the city and the people not be afraid? Shall there be any evil in the city which the LORD has not done?

Because the Lord GOD will do nothing unless he reveals his secret to his slaves the prophets.

The lion has roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD has spoken, who can but prophesy?

¶ Publish upon the palaces of Ashdod and upon the palaces of the land of Egypt and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria and behold the great oppression in the midst thereof and the great violence in the midst thereof.

10 For they do not know to do right, said the LORD, storing up violence and robbery in their palaces.

11 Therefore thus said the Lord GOD: An adversary there shall be even round about the land, and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.

12 Thus hath the LORD said: As the pastor takes out of the mouth of the lion two legs or a piece of an ear, so shall the sons of Israel escape that dwell in Samaria in the corner of the bed and at the border of the couch.

Revelation 9:13-21

13 ¶ And the sixth angel sounded the trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before the presence of God,

14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Loose the four angels who are bound in the great river Euphrates.

15 And the four angels were loosed, who were prepared unto the hour and day and month and year, to slay the third part of men.

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred million: and I heard the number of them.

17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those that sat on them, having breastplates of fire and of jacinth and brimstone; and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

18 By these three plagues was the third part of men killed, by the fire and by the smoke and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

19 For their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails were like unto serpents that have heads, and with them they do hurt.

20 And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons and the images of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which neither can see nor hear nor walk.

21 And they did not repent of their murders nor of their witchcraft nor of their fornication nor of their thefts.
