Psalm 119:41-48

VAU

41 And let Your lovingkindness come to me, O LORD, and Your salvation, according to Your Promise.

42 So shall I answer to my blasphemers, for I trust in Your Word.

43 And take not the Word of Truth utterly out of my mouth, for I await Your Judgments.

44 So shall I always keep Your Law forever and ever.

45 And I will walk in freedom, because I seek Your Precepts.

46 I will speak also of Your Testimonies before kings and will not be ashamed.

47 My delight will be in Your Commandments, which I have loved.

48 My hands, also, will I lift to Your Commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate on Your Statutes.

Proverbs 16:1-20

16 The preparations of the heart are in man. But the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.

All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes. But the LORD ponders the spirits.

Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts shall be directed.

The LORD has made all things for His own sake. Indeed, even the wicked for the day of evil.

All who are proud in heart are an abomination to the LORD. Though each join hand in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

By mercy and truth, iniquity shall be forgiven. And by the fear of the LORD, they depart from evil.

When the ways of a man please the LORD, He will also make his enemies at peace with him.

Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues without equity.

The heart of man devises his way. But the LORD directs his steps.

10 A divine sentence shall be in the lips of the king. His mouth shall not transgress in judgment.

11 A true weight and balance are of the LORD. And the weights of the bag are His work.

12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness. For the throne is established by justice.

13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings. And the king loves him who speaks right things.

14 The wrath of a king is as messengers of death. But a wise man will pacify it.

15 Life is in the light of the king’s countenance. And his favor is as a cloud of the Spring rain.

16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold? And to get understanding is more to be desired than silver.

17 The path of the righteous is to turn from evil. And he who keeps his way, keeps his soul.

18 Pride goes before destruction. And arrogance before the fall.

19 It is better to be of humble mind with the lowly, than to divide the spoils with the proud.

20 He who is wise in his business, shall find good. And he who trusts in the LORD, he is blessed.

Matthew 19:16-22

16 And behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Master, what good thing shall I do, so that I may have eternal life?

17 And He said to him, “Why did you call me good? There is no one good, but One, even God. But if you wish to enter into Life, keep the Commandments.”

18 He said to Him, “Which?” And Jesus said, “These: ‘You shall not kill’. ‘You shall not commit adultery’. ‘You shall not steal’. ‘You shall not bear false witness’.

19 “‘Honor your father and mother’. And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’.”

20 The young man said to Him, “I have observed all these things from my youth. “What do I still lack?”

21 Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go. Sell what you have and give it to the poor. And you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come and follow Me.”

22 And when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful. For he had great possessions.
