Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful;
2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
25 “Thus I fell down before the Lord forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first, because the Lord had said He would destroy you.
26 I prayed therefore unto the Lord, and said: ‘O Lord God, destroy not Thy people and Thine inheritance whom Thou hast redeemed through Thy greatness, whom Thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
27 Remember Thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness nor to their sin,
28 lest the land whence Thou broughtest us out say, “Because the Lord was not able to bring them into the land which He promised them, and because He hated them, He hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.”
29 Yet they are Thy people and Thine inheritance, whom Thou broughtest out by Thy mighty power and by Thy stretched out arm.’
10 “At that time the Lord said unto me, ‘Hew thee two tablets of stone like unto the first, and come up unto Me onto the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
2 And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets which thou didst break, and thou shalt put them in the ark.’
3 And I made an ark of shittim wood and hewed two tablets of stone like unto the first, and went up onto the mount, having the two tablets in mine hand.
4 And He wrote on the tablets, according to the first writing, the Ten Commandments, which the Lord spoke unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and the Lord gave them unto me.
5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the Lord commanded me.”
7 in all things showing thyself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing uncorruptness, seriousness, sincerity,
8 sound speech which cannot be condemned, that he that is of a contrary mind may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world,
13 looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ,
15 These things speak and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
