Psalm 34

34 I will always give thanks to the LORD. His praise shall be in my mouth continually.

My soul shall glory in the LORD. The humble shall hear it and be glad.

Praise the LORD with me; and let us magnify His Name together.

I sought the LORD, and He heard me. Indeed, He delivered me out of all my fear.

They shall look to Him and run; and their faces shall not be ashamed.

This poor man cried; and the LORD heard and saved him out of all his troubles.

The Angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them.

Taste and see how gracious the LORD is. Blessed is the man who trusts in Him.

Fear the LORD, you, His saints. For those who fear Him lack nothing.

10 The lions lack and suffer hunger. But those who seek the LORD shall lack nothing that is good.

11 Come children, hear me. I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12 What man is he who desires life and loves long days to see good?

13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips, so that they speak no deceit.

14 Turn from evil and do good. Seek peace and follow after it.

15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous; and His ears are open to their cry.

16 The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off their remembrance from the Earth.

17 The righteous cry and the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.

18 The LORD is near to those who are of a contrite heart; and will save such as are afflicted in spirit.

19 Great are the troubles of the righteous. But the LORD delivers him out of them all.

20 He keeps all His bones. Not one of them is broken.

21 Malice shall slay the wicked; and those who hate the righteous shall perish.

22 The LORD redeems the souls of His servants; and no one who trusts in Him shall perish. A Psalm of David.

Amos 9:5-15

And the LORD God of Hosts shall touch the land, and it shall melt away. And all who dwell therein shall mourn. And it shall rise up wholly like a flood and shall be drowned as by the flood of Egypt.

He builds His steps in the heaven; and has laid the foundation of His globe of elements in the earth. He calls the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the open earth. The LORD is His Name.

“Are you not as the Ethiopians to me, O children of Israel?” says the LORD. “Have I not brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt; and the Philistines from Caphtor and Aram from Kir?

“Behold, the eyes of the LORD God are upon the sinful kingdom. And I will destroy it clean out of the Earth. Nevertheless, I will not utterly destroy the House of Jacob,” says the LORD.

“For lo, I will command, and I will sift the House of Israel among all nations, as in a sieve. Still, the least stone shall not fall upon the Earth.

10 “But all the sinners of My people who say, ‘The evil shall not come or hasten for us,” shall die by the sword.

11 “On that day, I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and close up the breaches thereof. And I will raise up its ruins. And I will build it, as in the days of old,

12 “that they may possess the remnant of Edom—and of all the heathen—because My Name is called upon them,” says the LORD, Who does this.

13 “Behold, the days come,” says the LORD, “that the plowman shall touch the mower; and the treader of grapes him who sows seed. And the mountains shall drop sweet wine. And all the hills shall melt.

14 “And I will bring back the captives of My people of Israel. And they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them. And they shall plant vineyards and drink the wine thereof. They shall also make gardens and eat the fruits of them.

15 “And I will plant them upon their land. And no more shall they be pulled up again out of their land which I have given them,” says the LORD your God.

Philippians 3:13-4:1

13 Brothers, I do not count myself as having seized it. But one thing I do: I forget that which is behind and stretch forward toward that which is ahead;

14 and follow hard toward the mark, for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us, therefore (as many as are mature) be thus-minded. And if you are otherwise-minded, even this God shall reveal to you.

16 Nevertheless, to that which we have already attained, let us walk by one rule and be of the same mind.

17 Brothers, be imitators of me and observe those who also walk thus (as you have us for an example).

18 For many walk of whom I have often told you (and tell you now, weeping) who are the enemies of the cross of Christ;

19 whose end is destruction; whose God is their belly; and whose glory is in their knowledge of earthly things, to their shame.

20 But our citizenship is in Heaven, from where we also look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

21 He shall transform our humiliated body into a body conformed to His Glory, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and my crown, so continue in the Lord, beloved.
