Isaiah 25:1-9

25 O LORD, You are my God! I will exalt You. I will praise Your Name. For You have done wonderful things, ancient counsel, with firm faithfulness!

For You have made a heap of a city, a ruin of a strong city, a fortress of strangers to be no city. It shall never be built.

Therefore, the mighty people shall give glory to You. The city of the strong nations shall fear You.

For You have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his trouble, a refuge from the storm, a shade in the heat. For the blast of the mighty is like a hard rain against the wall.

You shall bring down the noise of the strangers, as the heat in a dry place. He will bring down the song of the mighty, as the heat with the shade of a cloud.

And on this mountain shall the LORD of Hosts make a feast of fat things for all people, a feast of refined wines, of fat things full of marrow, of refined and purified wines.

And on this mountain, He will destroy the covering that covers all people, and the veil that is spread upon all nations.

He will destroy death forever. And the LORD God will wipe away the tears from all faces. And He will take away the rebuke of His people out of all the Earth. For the LORD has spoken it.

And on that day men shall say, “Lo, this is our God! We have waited for Him, and He will save us! This is the LORD! We have waited for Him! We will rejoice and be joyful in salvation!”

Psalm 23

23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He makes me to rest in green pasture and leads me by the still waters.

He restores my soul and leads me in the paths of righteousness, for His Name’s sake.

Indeed, though I should walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the sight of my adversaries. You anoint my head with oil; and my cup runs over.

Doubtless, kindness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I shall remain in the House of the LORD forever. A Psalm of David.

Philippians 4:1-9

Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and my crown, so continue in the Lord, beloved.

I encourage Euodia and I encourage Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.

Indeed and I ask you also, faithful colleague, to help these women who labored with me in the Gospel, with Clement also, and with other of my fellow laborers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I say again, rejoice!

Let your gentleness be known to all. The Lord is near!

Be anxious about nothing. But in all things, let your requests be made known to God in prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving.

And the peace of God - which surpasses all understanding - shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true; whatever things are noble; whatever things are right; whatever things are pure; whatever things are lovely; whatever things are admirable; if there is any excellence or if there is any praise, think on these things.

That, also, which you have learned and received, and have heard and understood in me, those things do. And the God of Peace shall be with you.

Matthew 22:1-14

22 Then Jesus answered, and spoke to them again in parables, saying,

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who made a marriage feast for his son.

“And he sent forth his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding. But they would not come.

“Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My oxen and my fatted calves are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage”.’

“But they made light of it, and went their ways - one to his farm, and another about his business.

“And the rest took his servants, and treated them sharply, and killed them.

“But when the king heard it, he was angry, and sent forth his warriors, and destroyed those murderers, and burnt up their city.

“Then he said to his servants, ‘Truly the wedding is prepared. But those who were invited were not worthy.

“‘Therefore, go out into the streets. And as many as you find, invite them to the marriage.’

10 “So those servants went out into the streets, and gathered together everyone they found, both good and bad. So, the wedding was furnished with guests.

11 “Then the king came in to see the guests and saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment.

12 “And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

13 “Then the king said to the servants, “Bind him hand and foot. Take him away and cast him into the outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14 “For many are called, but few chosen.”
