25 O Lord, Thou art my God. I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name, for Thou hast done wonderful things; Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

² For Thou hast made of a city a heap, of a fortified city a ruin, a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be rebuilt.

³ Therefore shall the strong people glorify Thee; the city of the terrible nations shall fear Thee.

⁴ For Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

⁵ Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place, even the heat with the shadow of a cloud; the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

⁶ And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

⁷ And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations.

⁸ He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces, and the rebuke of His people shall He take away from off all the earth; for the Lord hath spoken it.

⁹ And it shall be said in that day: “Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

² He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.

³ He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

⁴ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

⁵ Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

⁶ Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

4 Therefore, my dearly beloved and longedfor brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

² I beseech Euodias and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

³ And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women who labored with me in the Gospel, with Clement also and with my other fellow laborers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, “Rejoice!”

⁵ Let your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

⁶ Fret not about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.

⁷ And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.

⁹ Those things which ye have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace shall be with you.

22 And Jesus answered and spoke unto them again in parables and said,

² “The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain king, who made a marriage for his son.

³ And he sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding, and they would not come.

⁴ Again he sent forth other servants, saying, ‘Tell them that are bidden, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come unto the marriage.”’

⁵ But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his farm, and another to his merchandise,

⁶ and the remnant took his servants and treated them spitefully and slew them.

⁷ But when the king heard thereof he was wroth, and he sent forth his armies and destroyed those murderers and burned up their city.

⁸ Then said he to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but they that were bidden were not worthy.

⁹ Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.’

¹⁰ So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered all together as many as they found, both bad and good, and the wedding was furnished with guests.

¹¹ And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who did not have on a wedding garment.

¹² And he said unto him, ‘Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

¹³ Then said the king to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

¹⁴ For many are called, but few are chosen.”
