Psalm 144

Prayer for Rescue and Prosperity.

A Psalm of David.

144 Blessed be the Lord, (A)my rock,
Who (B)trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle;
My lovingkindness and (C)my fortress,
My (D)stronghold and my deliverer,
My (E)shield and He in whom I take refuge,
Who (F)subdues [a]my people under me.
O Lord, (G)what is man, that You take knowledge of him?
Or the son of man, that You think of him?
(H)Man is like a mere breath;
His (I)days are like a passing shadow.

(J)Bow Your heavens, O Lord, and (K)come down;
(L)Touch the mountains, that they may smoke.
Flash forth (M)lightning and scatter them;
Send out Your (N)arrows and confuse them.
Stretch forth Your hand (O)from on high;
Rescue me and (P)deliver me out of great waters,
Out of the hand of (Q)aliens
Whose mouths (R)speak deceit,
And whose (S)right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

I will sing a (T)new song to You, O God;
Upon a (U)harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You,
10 Who (V)gives salvation to kings,
Who (W)rescues David His servant from the evil sword.
11 Rescue me and deliver me out of the hand of (X)aliens,
Whose mouth (Y)speaks deceit
And whose (Z)right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

12 Let our sons in their youth be as (AA)grown-up plants,
And our daughters as (AB)corner pillars [b]fashioned as for a palace;
13 Let our (AC)garners be full, furnishing every kind of produce,
And our flocks bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our [c]fields;
14 Let our (AD)cattle [d]bear
Without [e](AE)mishap and without [f](AF)loss,
Let there be no (AG)outcry in our streets!
15 How blessed are the people who are so situated;
How (AH)blessed are the people whose God is the Lord!

Isaiah 27:1-6

The Deliverance of Israel

27 In that day (A)the Lord will punish [a](B)Leviathan the fleeing serpent,
With His fierce and great and mighty sword,
Even [b]Leviathan the twisted serpent;
And (C)He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.

In that day,
“A [c](D)vineyard of wine, sing of it!
“I, the Lord, am its keeper;
(E)I water it every moment.
So that no one will [d]damage it,
I (F)guard it night and day.
“I have no wrath.
Should [e]someone give Me (G)briars and thorns in battle,
Then I would step on them, (H)I would burn them [f]completely.
“Or let him [g](I)rely on My protection,
Let him make peace with Me,
Let him (J)make peace with Me.”
[h]In the days to come Jacob (K)will take root,
Israel will (L)blossom and sprout,
And they will fill the [i]whole world with (M)fruit.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

17 Therefore if anyone is (A)in Christ, [a]he is (B)a new creature; (C)the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now (D)all these things are from God, (E)who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the (F)ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that (G)God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, (H)not counting their trespasses against them, and [b]He has [c]committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 Therefore, we are (I)ambassadors for Christ, (J)as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be (K)reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who (L)knew no sin to be (M)sin on our behalf, so that we might become the (N)righteousness of God in Him.
