Psalm 106:1-12

106 1 The people dispersed under Antiochus, do magnify the goodness of God among the just and repentant:  4 Desiring to be brought again into the land by God’s merciful visitation. 8 And after the manifold marvels of God wrought in their deliverance forth of Egypt, And the great ingratitude of the people rehearsed. 47 They do pray and desire to be gathered from among the heathen, to the intent that they may praise the Name of the God of Israel.

Praise ye the Lord.

Praise [a]ye the Lord because he is good, for his mercy endureth forever.

Who can express the noble acts of the Lord, or show forth all his praise?

Blessed are they that [b]keep judgment, and do righteousness at all times.

Remember me, O Lord, with the [c]favor of thy people: visit me with thy salvation,

That I may see the felicity of thy chosen, and rejoice in the joy of thy people, and glory with thine inheritance.

We have [d]sinned with our fathers: we have committed iniquity, and done wickedly.

Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembered they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, even at the red sea.

Nevertheless he [e]saved them for his Name’s sake, that he might make his power to be known.

And he rebuked the red sea, and it was dried up, and he led them in the deep, as in the wilderness.

10 And he saved them from the adversary’s hand, and delivered them from the hand of the enemy.

11 (A)And the waters covered their oppressors: not one of them was left.

12 Then [f]believed they his words, and sang praise unto him.

Genesis 28:10-17

10 ¶ Now Jacob departed from Beersheba, and went to Haran,

11 And he came unto a certain place, and tarried there all night because the sun was down, and took of the stones of the place, and laid under his head and slept in the same place.

12 Then he dreamed, and behold, there stood a [a]ladder upon the earth, and the top of it reached up to heaven: and lo, the Angels of God went up and down by it.

13 (A)And behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land, upon the which thou sleepest, [b]will I give thee and thy seed.

14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad (B)to the West, and to the East, and to the North, and to the South, and in thee and in thy seed shall all the (C)families of the earth be blessed.

15 And lo, I am with thee, and will keep thee whithersoever thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land: for I will not forsake thee until I have performed that, that I have promised thee.

16 ¶ Then Jacob awoke out of his sleep and said, Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware.

17 And he was [c]afraid, and said, How fearful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

Romans 16:17-20

17 [a]Now I beseech you brethren, [b]mark them diligently which cause division and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned, and (A)avoid them.

18 For they that are such, serve not the Lord Jesus Christ but their own bellies, and with [c]fair speech and flattering deceive the hearts of the simple.

19 [d]For your obedience is come abroad among all: I am glad therefore of you: but yet I would have you [e]wise unto that which is good, and [f]simple concerning evil.

20 [g]The God of peace shall tread Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
