Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
A Psalm of David.
¶ Judge me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity; I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.
Examine me, O LORD and prove me; melt my kidneys and my heart.
For thy mercy is before my eyes, and I walk in thy truth.
I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with hypocrites.
I have hated the congregation of evil doers and will not sit with the wicked.
¶ I will wash my hands in innocency, so I will walk near unto thine altar, O LORD:
That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all thy wondrous works.
LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house and the place of the tabernacle of thy glory.
¶ Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them curses me.
The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
Shall iron break the iron from the place of the north wind and the bronze?
Thy riches and thy treasures I will give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.
And I will make thee to serve thine enemies in a land which thou dost not know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which shall burn upon you.
¶ And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying in bed and with fever.
And he touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she arose and ministered unto them.
When evening was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils, and he cast out the spirits with the word and healed all that were sick
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.
