Psalm 18:1-3

18 I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psalm 18:20-32

20 The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.

21 For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

22 For all His judgments were before me, and I did not put away His statutes from me.

23 I was also upright before Him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.

24 Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His eyes.

25 With the merciful Thou wilt show Thyself merciful; with an upright man Thou wilt show Thyself upright;

26 with the pure Thou wilt show Thyself pure; and with the froward Thou wilt show Thyself froward.

27 For Thou wilt save the afflicted people, but wilt bring down haughty looks.

28 For Thou wilt light my candle; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

29 For by Thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.

30 As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proved; He is a buckler to all those that trust in Him.

31 For who is God, except the Lord? Or who is a rock, except our God?

32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

Deuteronomy 32:18-20

18 Of the Rock that begot thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

19 “And when the Lord saw it, He abhorred them, because of the provoking of His sons and of His daughters.

20 And He said: ‘I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end shall be; for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

Deuteronomy 32:28-39

28 “For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.

29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up?

31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.

32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom and of the fields of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter.

33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

34 “‘Is not this laid up in store with Me, and sealed up among My treasures?

35 To Me belongeth vengeance and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.’

36 “For the Lord shall judge His people and repent for His servants, when He seeth that their power is gone and there is none shut up or left.

37 And He shall say: ’Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,

38 which ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.

39 “‘See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god besides Me. I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; neither is there any that can deliver out of My hand.

Romans 11:33-36

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!

34 “For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been His counselor?”

35 Or, “who hath first given to Him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?”

36 For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things, to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
