92 It is a good thing to praise the LORD, and to sing to Your Name, O Most High,

² to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your truth in the night,

³ upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the viol, with the song upon the harp.

⁴ For You, LORD, have made me glad by Your works; and I will rejoice in the works of Your hands.

⁵ O LORD, how glorious are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep.

⁶ An unwise man does not know it; and a fool does not understand this:

⁷ that when the wicked grow as the grass and all the workers of wickedness flourish, they shall be destroyed forever.

⁸ But You, O LORD, are Most High forevermore.

⁹ For lo, Your enemies, O LORD. For lo, Your enemies shall perish. All the workers of iniquity shall be destroyed.

¹⁰ But You shall exalt my horn, like the unicorns, and I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

¹¹ Also, my eye shall see my desire against my enemies; and my ears shall hear my wish against the wicked who rise up against me.

¹² The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree and shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

¹³ Such as are planted in the House of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

¹⁴ They shall still bring forth fruit in their old age. They shall be fat and flourishing,

¹⁵ to declare that the LORD my Rock is righteous and that no iniquity is in Him.

³ ‘If you walk in My Ordinances and keep My Commandments, and do them,

⁴ ‘I will then send you rain in due season. And the land shall yield her increase. And the trees of the field shall give their fruit.

⁵ ‘And your threshing shall reach until the vintage. And the vintage shall reach until sowing time. And you shall eat your bread in abundance, and dwell in your land safely.

⁶ ‘And I will send peace in the land. And you shall sleep. And no one shall make you afraid. Also, I will rid the land of evil beasts. And the sword shall not go through your land.

⁷ ‘Also you shall chase your enemies and they shall fall before you upon the sword.

⁸ ‘And five of you shall chase a hundred. And a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight. And your enemies shall fall before you upon the sword.

⁹ ‘For I will have respect to you and make you increase and multiply you and establish My Covenant with you.

¹⁰ ‘You shall also eat old stores and clear out the old because of the new.

¹¹ ‘And I will set My Tabernacle among you. And My Soul shall not loathe you.

¹² ‘Also, I will walk among you. And I will be your God. And you shall be My people.

¹³ ‘I am the LORD your God, Who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, so that you would not be their bondmen. And I have broken the bonds of your yoke and made you go upright.

¹⁴ ‘But if you will not obey Me, or do all these Commandments;

¹⁵ ‘and if you shall despise My Ordinances, or if your soul abhors My Laws (so that you will not do all My Commandments, but break My Covenant),

¹⁶ ‘then will I also do this to you: I will appoint fearfulness over you, a consumption and fever to consume the eyes and make the heart heavy. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

¹⁷ ‘And I will set My Face against you. And you shall fall before your enemies. And those who hate you shall reign over you. And you shall flee when no one pursues you.

¹⁸ ‘And if, after this, you will not obey Me, then will I punish you seven times more, according to your sins.

¹⁹ ‘And I will break the pride of your power. And I will make your Heaven as iron, and your Earth as brass.

²⁰ ‘And your strength shall be spent in vain. Nor shall your land give her increase. Nor shall the trees of the land give their fruit.

4 Furthermore, we urge and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, brothers, that you increase more and more in how you ought to walk and to please God (as you have received from us).

² For you know what Commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

³ For this is the will of God: your sanctification. And that you should abstain from fornication;

⁴ so that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in holiness and honor,

⁵ not in the passion of lust (as the Gentiles do, who do not know God),

⁶ so that no one oppresses or defrauds his brother in any matter. For the Lord is Avenger of all such things, as we also have told you previously, and testified.

⁷ For God has not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness.

⁸ Therefore, the one who ignores these things, does not ignore man, but God (Who has also given His Holy Spirit).
