¹⁰ Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom, give ear to the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrha.

¹¹ To what purpose do you offer me the multitude of your victims, saith the Lord? I am full, I desire not holocausts of rams, and fat of fatlings, and blood of calves, and lambs, and buck goats.

¹² When you came to appear before me, who required these things at your hands, that you should walk in my courts?

¹³ Offer sacrifice no more in vain: incense is an abomination to me. The new moons, and the sabbaths, and other festivals I will not abide, your assemblies are wicked.

¹⁴ My soul hateth your new moons, and your solemnities: they are become troublesome to me, I am weary of bearing them.

¹⁵ And when you stretch forth your hands, I will turn away my eyes from you: and when you multiply prayer, I will not hear: for your hands are full of blood.

¹⁶ Wash yourselves, be clean, take away the evil of your devices from my eyes: cease to do perversely,

¹⁷ Learn to do well: seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge for the fatherless, defend the widow.

¹⁸ And then come, and accuse me, saith the Lord: if your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made as white as snow: and if they be red as crimson, they shall be white as wool.

32 A psalm for David. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye just: praise becometh the upright.

² Give praise to the Lord on the harp; sing to him with the psaltery, the instrument of ten strings.

³ Sing to him a new canticle, sing well unto him with a loud noise.

⁴ For the word of the Lord is right, and all his works are done with faithfulness.

⁵ He loveth mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

⁶ By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the power of them by the spirit of his mouth:

⁷ Gathering together the waters of the sea, as in a vessel; laying up the depths in storehouses.

³ We are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you towards each other, aboundeth:

⁴ So that we ourselves also glory in you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith, and in all your persecutions and tribulations, which you endure,

¹¹ Wherefore also we pray always for you; that our God would make you worthy of his vocation, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness and the work of faith in power;

¹² That the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ.

19 And entering in, he walked through Jericho.

² And behold, there was a man named Zacheus, who was the chief of the publicans, and he was rich.

³ And he sought to see Jesus who he was, and he could not for the crowd, because he was low of stature.

⁴ And running before, he climbed up into a sycamore tree, that he might see him; for he was to pass that way.

⁵ And when Jesus was come to the place, looking up, he saw him, and said to him: Zacheus, make haste and come down; for this day I must abide in thy house.

⁶ And he made haste and came down; and received him with joy.

⁷ And when all saw it, they murmured, saying, that he was gone to be a guest with a man that was a sinner.

⁸ But Zacheus standing, said to the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wronged any man of any thing, I restore him fourfold.

⁹ Jesus said to him: This day is salvation come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.

¹⁰ For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
