Psalm 62

God Alone a Refuge from Treachery and Oppression.

For the choir director; [a]according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.

62 (A)My soul waits in silence for God only;
From Him (B)is my salvation.
He only is my (C)rock and my salvation,
My (D)stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.

How long will you assail a man,
That you may murder him, all of you,
Like a (E)leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position;
They (F)delight in falsehood;
They (G)bless with [b]their mouth,
But inwardly they curse. [c]Selah.

My soul, (H)wait in silence for God only,
For my hope is from Him.
He only is (I)my rock and my salvation,
My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
On God my (J)salvation and my glory rest;
The rock of my strength, my (K)refuge is in God.
(L)Trust in Him at all times, O people;
(M)Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Men of (N)low degree are only (O)vanity and men of rank are a (P)lie;
In the (Q)balances they go up;
They are together lighter than breath.
10 (R)Do not trust in oppression
And do not [d]vainly hope in (S)robbery;
If riches increase, (T)do not set your heart upon them.

11 [e]Once God has (U)spoken;
[f]Twice I have heard this:
That (V)power belongs to God;
12 And lovingkindness (W)is Yours, O Lord,
For You (X)recompense a man according to his work.

Amos 6:8-14

The Lord [a]God has (A)sworn by Himself, the Lord God of hosts has declared:
“I (B)loathe the arrogance of Jacob,
And [b]detest his (C)citadels;
Therefore I will (D)deliver up the city and [c]all it contains.”

And it will be, if (E)ten men are left in one house, they will die. 10 Then one’s [d]uncle, or his [e](F)undertaker, will lift him up to carry out his bones from the house, and he will say to the one who is in the innermost part of the house, “Is anyone else with you?” And that one will say, “No one.” Then he will [f]answer, “(G)Keep quiet. For [g]the name of the Lord is (H)not to be mentioned.” 11 For behold, the Lord is going to (I)command that the (J)great house be smashed to pieces and the small house to fragments.

12 Do horses run on rocks?
Or does one plow [h]them with oxen?
Yet you have turned (K)justice into poison
And the fruit of righteousness into [i]wormwood,
13 You who rejoice in [j](L)Lodebar,
[k]And say, “Have we not (M)by our own strength taken [l]Karnaim for ourselves?”
14 “For behold, (N)I am going to raise up a nation against you,
O house of Israel,” declares the Lord God of hosts,
“And they will afflict you from the (O)entrance of Hamath
To the (P)brook of the Arabah.”

Revelation 3:14-22

Message to Laodicea

14 “To the angel of the church in (A)Laodicea write:

(B)The Amen, (C)the faithful and true Witness, (D)the [a]Beginning of the creation of God, says this:

15 (E)I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; (F)I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will [b]spit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, “(G)I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18 I advise you to (H)buy from Me (I)gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and (J)white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that (K)the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 (L)Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and (M)repent. 20 Behold, I stand (N)at the door and (O)knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, (P)I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21 (Q)He who overcomes, I will grant to him (R)to sit down with Me on My throne, as (S)I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 (T)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”
