112 Praise the Lord, ye children: praise ye the name of the Lord.

² Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.

³ From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.

⁴ The Lord is high above all nations; and his glory above the heavens.

⁵ Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:

⁶ And looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?

⁷ Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill:

⁸ That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.

⁹ Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.

⁶ The lips of a fool intermeddle with strife: and his mouth provoketh quarrels.

⁷ The mouth of a fool is his destruction: and his lips are the ruin of his soul.

⁸ The words of the double tongued are as if they were harmless: and they reach even to the inner parts of the bowels. Fear casteth down the slothful: and the souls of the effeminate shall be hungry.

⁹ He that is loose and slack in his work, is the brother of him that wasteth his own works.

¹⁰ The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the just runneth to it, and shall be exalted.

¹¹ The substance of the rich man is the city of his strength, and as a strong wall compassing him about.

¹² Before destruction, the heart of a man is exalted: and before he be glorified, it is humbled.

⁷ But the end of all is at hand. Be prudent therefore, and watch in prayers.

⁸ But before all things have a constant mutual charity among yourselves: for charity covereth a multitude of sins.

⁹ Using hospitality one towards another, without murmuring,

¹⁰ As every man hath received grace, ministering the same one to another: as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

¹¹ If any man speak, let him speak, as the words of God. If any man minister, let him do it, as of the power, which God administereth: that in all things God may be honoured through Jesus Christ: to whom is glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.
