Psalm 110

The Lord Gives Dominion to the King.

A Psalm of David.

110 (A)The Lord says to my Lord:
(B)Sit at My right hand
Until I make (C)Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”
The Lord will stretch forth Your strong (D)scepter from Zion, saying,
(E)Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”
Your (F)people [a]will volunteer freely in the day of Your [b]power;
(G)In [c]holy array, from the womb of the dawn,
[d]Your youth are to You as the (H)dew.

(I)The Lord has sworn and will (J)not [e]change His mind,
“You are a (K)priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”
The Lord is (L)at Your right hand;
He [f]will (M)shatter kings in the (N)day of His wrath.
He will (O)judge among the nations,
He [g]will fill them with (P)corpses,
He [h]will (Q)shatter the [i]chief men over a broad country.
He will (R)drink from the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He will (S)lift up His head.

Exodus 2:11-25

11 Now it came about in those days, (A)when Moses had grown up, that he went out to his brethren and looked on their [a](B)hard labors; and (C)he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren. 12 So he [b]looked this way and that, and when he saw there was no one around, he (D)struck down the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13 He went out (E)the next day, and behold, two Hebrews were [c]fighting with each other; and he said to the [d]offender, “Why are you striking your companion?” 14 But he said, “(F)Who made you a [e]prince or a judge over us? Are you [f]intending to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and said, “Surely the matter has become known.”

Moses Escapes to Midian

15 When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he tried to kill Moses. But (G)Moses fled from the presence of Pharaoh and [g]settled in the land of Midian, and he sat down (H)by a well.

16 Now (I)the priest of Midian had seven daughters; and (J)they came to draw water and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. 17 Then the shepherds came and drove them away, but (K)Moses stood up and helped them and watered their flock. 18 When they came to (L)Reuel their father, he said, “Why have you come back so soon today?” 19 So they said, “An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds, and what is more, he even drew the water for us and watered the flock.” 20 He said to his daughters, “Where is he then? Why is it that you have left the man behind? Invite him [h]to have something to eat.” 21 (M)Moses was willing to dwell with the man, and he gave his daughter (N)Zipporah to Moses. 22 Then she gave birth to (O)a son, and he named him [i]Gershom, for he said, “I have been (P)a [j]sojourner in a foreign land.”

23 Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel (Q)sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and (R)their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God. 24 So (S)God heard their groaning; and God remembered (T)His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 25 (U)God saw the sons of Israel, and God [k]took notice of them.

Hebrews 11:27-28

27 By faith he (A)left Egypt, not (B)fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as (C)seeing Him who is unseen. 28 By faith he [a](D)kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that (E)he who destroyed the firstborn would not touch them.
