Psalm 65:1-8

65 1 A praise and thanksgiving unto God by the faithful, who are signified by Zion, 4 For the choosing, preservation, and governance of them, 9 And for the plentiful blessings poured forth upon all the earth, but especially toward his Church.

To him that excelleth. A Psalm or song of David.

O God, [a]praise waiteth for thee in Zion, and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

Because thou hearest the prayer, unto thee shall all [b]flesh come.

Wicked deeds [c]have prevailed against me: but thou wilt be merciful unto our transgressions.

Blessed is he, whom thou choosest and causest to come to thee: he shall dwell in thy courts, and we shall be satisfied with the pleasures of thine House, even of thine holy Temple.

O God of our salvation, thou wilt [d]answer us with fearful signs in thy righteousness, O thou the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are far off in the [e]Sea.

He establisheth the mountains by his power: and is girded about with strength.

He appeaseth the [f]noise of the seas, and the noise of the waves thereof, and the tumults of the people.

They also that dwell in the uttermost parts of the earth, shall be afraid of thy signs; thou shalt make [g]the East and the West to rejoice.

Psalm 65:9-13

Thou [a]visitest the earth, and waterest it; thou makest it very rich: the [b]river of God is full of water, thou preparest them corn; for so thou appointest [c]it.

10 Thou [d]waterest abundantly the furrows thereof; thou causest the rain to descend into the valleys thereof; thou makest it soft with showers, and blessest the bud thereof.

11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness, and thy steps drop fatness.

12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the hills shall be compassed with gladness.

13 The pastures are clad with sheep; the valleys also shall be covered with corn; therefore they shout for joy, [e]and sing.

Isaiah 48:1-5

48 1 The hypocrisy of the Jews is reproved. 12 The Lord alone will be worshipped. 20 Of their deliverance out of Babylon.

Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are [a]called by the name of Israel, and are come out of [b]the waters of Judah: which swear by the name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth nor in righteousness.

For they are called of the holy city, and stay themselves [c]upon the God of Israel, whose Name is the Lord of hosts.

I have declared the former things of old, and they went out of my mouth, and I showed [d]them: I did them suddenly and they came to pass.

Because I knew that [e]thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass,

Therefore I have declared it to thee of old: before it came to pass, I showed [f]it thee, lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my carved image, and my molten image hath commanded them.

Romans 2:12-16

12 [a]For as many as have sinned without the Law, shall perish also without the Law: and as many as have sinned in the Law, shall be judged by the Law,

13 [b](For the hearers of the Law are not righteous before God: but the doers of the Law shall be [c]justified.

14 [d]For when the Gentiles which have [e]not the Law, do by [f]nature the things contained in the Law, they having not the Law, are a Law unto themselves,

15 Which show the effect of the Law [g]written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness and their thoughts accusing one another, or excusing.)

16 [h]At the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to [i]my Gospel.
