⁸ The Lord enlighteneth the blind. The Lord lifteth up them that are cast down: the Lord loveth the just.

⁹ The Lord keepeth the strangers, he will support the fatherless and the widow: and the ways of sinners he will destroy.

¹⁰ The Lord shall reign for ever: thy God, O Sion, unto generation and generation.

4 And the angel that spoke in me came again: and he waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.

² And he said to me: What seest thou? And I said: I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, and its lamp upon the top of it: and the seven lights thereof upon it: and seven funnels for the lights that were upon the top thereof.

³ And two olive trees over it: one upon the right side of the lamp, and the other upon the left side thereof.

⁴ And I answered, and said to the angel that spoke in me, saying: What are these things, my lord?

⁵ And the angel that spoke in me answered, and said to me: Knowest thou not what these things are? And I said: No, my lord.

⁶ And he answered, and spoke to me, saying: This is the word of the Lord to Zorobabel, saying: Not with an army, nor by might, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

⁷ Who art thou, O great mountain, before Zorobabel? thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring out the chief stone, and shall give equal grace to the grace thereof.

²¹ In that same hour, he rejoiced in the Holy Ghost, and said: I confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to little ones. Yea, Father, for so it hath seemed good in thy sight.

²² All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and to whom the Son will reveal him.

²³ And turning to his disciples, he said: Blessed are the eyes that see the things which you see.

²⁴ For I say to you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things that you see, and have not seen them; and to hear the things that you hear, and have not heard them.
