Version
Psalm 113-115

The Lord Exalts the Humble.

113 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
(A)Praise, O (B)servants of the Lord,
Praise the name of the Lord.
(C)Blessed be the name of the Lord
From this time forth and forever.
(D)From the rising of the sun to its setting
The (E)name of the Lord is to be praised.
The Lord is (F)high above all nations;
His (G)glory is above the heavens.

(H)Who is like the Lord our God,
Who (I)is enthroned on high,
Who [c](J)humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in heaven and in the earth?
He (K)raises the poor from the dust
And lifts the needy from the ash heap,
To make them (L)sit with [d]princes,
With the [e]princes of His people.
He (M)makes the barren woman abide in the house
As a joyful mother of children.
[f]Praise [g]the Lord!

God’s Deliverance of Israel from Egypt.

114 When Israel went forth (N)from Egypt,
The house of Jacob from a people of (O)strange language,
Judah became (P)His sanctuary,
Israel, (Q)His dominion.

The (R)sea looked and fled;
The (S)Jordan turned back.
The mountains (T)skipped like rams,
The hills, like lambs.
What (U)ails you, O sea, that you flee?
O Jordan, that you turn back?
O mountains, that you skip like rams?
O hills, like lambs?

(V)Tremble, O earth, before the Lord,
Before the God of Jacob,
Who (W)turned the rock into a (X)pool of water,
The (Y)flint into a fountain of water.

Heathen Idols Contrasted with the Lord.

115 (Z)Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
But (AA)to Your name give glory
Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your [h]truth.
(AB)Why should the nations say,
(AC)Where, now, is their God?”
But our (AD)God is in the heavens;
He (AE)does whatever He pleases.
Their (AF)idols are silver and gold,
The (AG)work of man’s hands.
They have mouths, but they (AH)cannot speak;
They have eyes, but they cannot see;
They have ears, but they cannot hear;
They have noses, but they cannot smell;
[i]They have hands, but they cannot feel;
[j]They have feet, but they cannot walk;
They cannot make a sound with their throat.
(AI)Those who make them [k]will become like them,
Everyone who trusts in them.

O (AJ)Israel, (AK)trust in the Lord;
He is their (AL)help and their shield.
10 O house of (AM)Aaron, trust in the Lord;
He is their help and their shield.
11 You who [l](AN)fear the Lord, trust in the Lord;
He is their help and their shield.
12 The Lord (AO)has been mindful of us; He will bless us;
He will bless the house of Israel;
He will bless the house of Aaron.
13 He will (AP)bless those who [m]fear the Lord,
(AQ)The small together with the great.
14 May the Lord (AR)give you increase,
You and your children.
15 May you be blessed of the Lord,
(AS)Maker of heaven and earth.

16 The heavens are (AT)the heavens of the Lord,
But (AU)the earth He has given to the sons of men.
17 The (AV)dead do not praise [n]the Lord,
Nor do any who go down into (AW)silence;
18 But as for us, we will (AX)bless [o]the Lord
From this time forth and forever.
[p]Praise [q]the Lord!

1 Corinthians 6

Lawsuits Discouraged

Does any one of you, when he has a [a]case against his neighbor, dare to go to law before the unrighteous and (A)not before the [b]saints? Or (B)do you not know that (C)the [c]saints will judge (D)the world? If the world is judged by you, are you not competent to [d]constitute the smallest law courts? (E)Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life? So if you have law courts dealing with matters of this life, [e]do you appoint them as judges who are of no account in the church? (F)I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not among you one wise man who will be able to decide between his (G)brethren, but brother goes to law with brother, and that before (H)unbelievers?

Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. (I)Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded? On the contrary, you yourselves wrong and defraud. You do this even to your (J)brethren.

Or (K)do you not know that the unrighteous will not (L)inherit the kingdom of God? (M)Do not be deceived; (N)neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor [f]effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will (O)inherit the kingdom of God. 11 (P)Such were some of you; but you were (Q)washed, but you were (R)sanctified, but you were (S)justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

The Body Is the Lord’s

12 (T)All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything. 13 (U)Food is for the [g]stomach and the [h]stomach is for food, but God will (V)do away with both [i]of them. Yet the body is not for immorality, but (W)for the Lord, and (X)the Lord is for the body. 14 Now God has not only (Y)raised the Lord, but (Z)will also raise us up through His power. 15 (AA)Do you not know that (AB)your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? (AC)May it never be! 16 Or (AD)do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, “(AE)The two shall become one flesh.” 17 But the one who joins himself to the Lord is (AF)one spirit with Him. 18 (AG)Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the [j]immoral man sins against his own body. 19 Or (AH)do you not know that (AI)your body is a [k]temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from [l]God, and that (AJ)you are not your own? 20 For (AK)you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in (AL)your body.
