Old/New Testament
7 ¶ And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle and had anointed it and sanctified it with all its vessels; likewise having anointed and sanctified the altar, with all its vessels;
2 that the princes of Israel, heads of the houses of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were over those that were numbered, offered;
3 and they brought their offerings before the LORD, six covered wagons and twelve oxen: a wagon for each two of the princes and for each one an ox, which they offered before the tabernacle.
4 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
5 Take it from them, and it shall be for the service of the tabernacle of the testimony; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to each one according to his ministry.
6 Then Moses received the wagons and the oxen, and gave them unto the Levites.
7 Two wagons and four oxen he gave unto the sons of Gershon, according to their ministry;
8 and four wagons and eight oxen he gave unto the sons of Merari, according to their ministry, under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the priest.
9 But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none; because the ministry of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders.
10 ¶ And the princes offered at the dedication of the altar the day that it was anointed; even the princes offered their offering before the altar.
11 And the LORD said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, at the dedication of the altar.
12 And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon, the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.

89 And when Moses entered into the tabernacle of the testimony to speak with Him, then he heard the voice of the one speaking unto him from above the seat of reconciliation that was over the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim; and he spoke with him.
8 ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto Aaron and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the face of the lampstand.
3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the face of the lampstand, as the LORD commanded Moses.
4 And this work of the lampstand was of beaten gold, from the shaft thereof unto the flowers thereof; it was beaten work; according unto the pattern which the LORD had showed Moses, so he made the lampstand.
5 ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
6 Take the Levites from among the sons of Israel, and cleanse them.
7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of atonement for sin upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and be clean.
8 Then let them take a young bullock with his present, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou offer as sin.
9 And thou shalt offer the Levites before the tabernacle of the testimony, and thou shalt gather the whole congregation of the sons of Israel together;
10 and thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD, and the sons of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites;
11 and Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for a wave offering of the sons of Israel, and they shall serve in the ministry of the LORD.
12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks; and thou shalt offer the one as the sin, and the other as a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to reconcile the Levites.
13 And thou shalt cause the Levites to present themselves before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.
14 And thou shalt separate the Levites from among the sons of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine.
15 Thus shall the Levites go in to minister in the tabernacle of the testimony; and thou shalt cleanse them and wave them for an offering.
16 For they are completely given unto me from among the sons of Israel, instead of each one that opens the womb; instead of the firstborn of all the sons of Israel, I have taken them for myself.
17 For all the firstborn of the sons of Israel are mine, both of man and of animals; from the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
18 And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the sons of Israel.
19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the sons of Israel, that they may serve the ministry of the sons of Israel in the tabernacle of the testimony and reconcile the sons of Israel, that there be no plague in the sons of Israel when the sons of Israel come near unto the sanctuary.
20 And Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the sons of Israel did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the sons of Israel unto them.
21 And the sin was removed from the Levites, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a wave offering before the LORD; and Aaron reconciled them to cleanse them.
22 And thus went the Levites in to serve in their ministry in the tabernacle of the testimony before Aaron and before his sons; in the manner that the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
23 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
24 This regarding the Levites from twenty-five years old and upward, they shall go in to serve in the host of the tabernacle of the testimony.
25 And from the age of fifty years they shall return from their ministry unto the host and shall never serve again,
26 but shall serve with their brethren in the tabernacle of the testimony, to stand guard, even though they do not serve in the ministry. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.
21 ¶ And he also said unto them, Is the lamp brought to be put under the bushel or under the bed? and not to be set in the lampstand?
22 For there is nothing hid which shall not be manifested; nor secret which shall not be exposed.
23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.
24 And he also said unto them, Take heed what ye hear; with the measure ye measure by, ye shall be measured by others, and unto you that hear shall more be added.
25 For he that has, to him shall be given; and he that has not, from him shall be taken even that which he has.
26 He also said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground
27 and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring forth and grow up, he knows not how.
28 For the earth brings forth fruit of herself: first the blade, then the ear, after that the full grain in the ear.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle because the harvest is come.
30 He also said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we compare it?
31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth;
32 but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs and shoots out great branches, so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
33 And with many such parables he spoke the word unto them as they were able to hear it.
34 But without a parable he did not speak unto them; and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
35 ¶ And that same day, when evening was come, he said unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow; and they awoke him and said unto him, Master, dost thou not care that we perish?
39 And as he arose, he rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?
41 And they feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
