The Lamb and the 144,000 on Mount Zion

14 Then I looked, and behold, (A)the Lamb was standing on (B)Mount Zion, and with Him (C)144,000 who had (D)His name and the (E)name of His Father written (F)on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like (G)the sound of many waters and like the (H)sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of (I)harpists playing on their harps. And they *sang [a](J)a new song before the throne and before the (K)four living creatures and the (L)elders; and (M)no one was able to learn the song except the (N)144,000 who had been (O)purchased from the earth. (P)These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are celibate. These are the ones who (Q)follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been (R)purchased from mankind (S)as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And (T)no lie was found in their mouths; they are (U)blameless.

Vision of the Angel with the Gospel

And I saw another angel flying in (V)midheaven with (W)an eternal gospel to preach to (X)those who [b]live on the earth, and to (Y)every nation, tribe, language, and people; and he said with a loud voice, “(Z)Fear God and (AA)give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who (AB)made the heaven and the earth, and sea and (AC)springs of waters.”

And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “[c](AD)Fallen, fallen is (AE)Babylon the great, she who has (AF)made all the nations drink of the (AG)wine of the [d]passion of her sexual immorality.”

Doom for Worshipers of the Beast

Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone (AH)worships the beast and his (AI)image, and receives a (AJ)mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink of the (AK)wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed [e]in full strength (AL)in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with (AM)fire and [f]brimstone in the presence of the (AN)holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the (AO)smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; (AP)they have no rest day and night, those who (AQ)worship the beast and his (AR)image, and [g]whoever receives the (AS)mark of his name.” 12 Here is (AT)the [h]perseverance of the [i]saints who (AU)keep the commandments of God and [j](AV)their faith in Jesus.

13 And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write: ‘(AW)Blessed are the dead who (AX)die in the Lord from now on!’” “Yes,” (AY)says the Spirit, “so that they may (AZ)rest from their labors, for their (BA)deeds follow with them.”

The Harvest

14 Then I looked, and behold, a (BB)white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one (BC)like [k]a son of man, with a golden (BD)crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. 15 And another angel (BE)came out of the [l]temple, calling out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “[m](BF)Put in Your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the (BG)harvest of the earth [n]is ripe.” 16 Then He who sat on the cloud [o]swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.

17 And another angel (BH)came out of the [p]temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. 18 Then another angel, (BI)the one who has power over fire, came out from (BJ)the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “[q](BK)Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters [r]from the vine of the earth, (BL)because her grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel [s]swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into (BM)the great wine press of the wrath of God. 20 And (BN)the wine press was trampled (BO)outside the city, and (BP)blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, [t]for a distance of [u]1,600 stadia.

A Scene of Heaven

15 Then I saw (BQ)another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, (BR)seven angels who had (BS)seven plagues, which are (BT)the last, because in them the wrath of God is finished.

And I saw something like a (BU)sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who (BV)were victorious [v]over the (BW)beast and (BX)his image and the (BY)number of his name, standing on the (BZ)sea of glass, holding (CA)harps of God. And they *sang the (CB)song of Moses, (CC)the bond-servant of God, and the (CD)song of the Lamb, saying,

(CE)Great and marvelous are Your works,
(CF)Lord God, the Almighty;
Righteous and true are Your ways,
(CG)King of the [w]nations!
(CH)Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy;
For (CI)all the nations will come and worship before You,
For Your [x](CJ)righteous acts have been revealed.”

After these things I looked, and (CK)the [y]temple of the (CL)tabernacle of testimony in heaven was opened, and the (CM)seven angels who had the seven plagues (CN)came out of the [z]temple, clothed in [aa]linen, clean and bright, and (CO)their chests wrapped with golden sashes. And one of the (CP)four living creatures gave the (CQ)seven angels seven (CR)golden bowls full of the (CS)wrath of God, who (CT)lives forever and ever. And the [ab]temple was filled with (CU)smoke from the glory of God and from His power; and no one was able to enter the [ac]temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.

The Bowls of Wrath

16 Then I heard a loud voice from (CV)the [ad]temple, saying to the (CW)seven angels, “Go and (CX)pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”

So the first angel went and poured out his bowl (CY)on the earth; and a harmful and painful (CZ)sore [ae]afflicted the people (DA)who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

The second angel poured out his bowl (DB)into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living [af]thing in the sea died.

Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the (DC)rivers and the springs of waters; and they (DD)became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters saying, “(DE)Righteous are You, (DF)the One who is and who was, O (DG)Holy One, because You (DH)judged these things; for they poured out (DI)the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them (DJ)blood to drink. They [ag]deserve it.” And I heard (DK)the altar saying, “Yes, (DL)Lord God, the Almighty, (DM)true and righteous are Your judgments.”

And the fourth angel poured out his bowl upon (DN)the sun, (DO)and it was given power to scorch people with fire. And the people were scorched with [ah]fierce heat; and they (DP)blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they (DQ)did not repent so as to (DR)give Him glory.

10 And the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the (DS)throne of the beast, and his kingdom became (DT)darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, 11 and they (DU)blasphemed the (DV)God of heaven because of their pain and their (DW)sores; and they (DX)did not repent of their deeds.

12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the (DY)great river, the Euphrates; and (DZ)its water was dried up, so that (EA)the way would be prepared for the kings (EB)from the [ai]east.

Har-Magedon (Armageddon)

13 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the (EC)dragon, and out of the mouth of the (ED)beast, and out of the mouth of the (EE)false prophet, three (EF)unclean spirits like (EG)frogs; 14 for they are (EH)spirits of demons, (EI)performing signs, which go out to the kings of the (EJ)entire [aj]world, to (EK)gather them together for the war of the (EL)great day of God, the Almighty. 15 (“Behold, (EM)I am coming like a thief. (EN)Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, (EO)so that he will not walk about naked and people will not see his shame.”) 16 And they (EP)gathered them together to the place which (EQ)in Hebrew is called (ER)Har-Magedon.

The Seventh Bowl of Wrath

17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon (ES)the air, and a (ET)loud voice came out of the [ak](EU)temple from the throne, saying, “(EV)It is done.” 18 And there were flashes of (EW)lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was (EX)a great earthquake, (EY)such as there had not been since mankind came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. 19 (EZ)The great city [al]was split into three parts, and the cities of the [am]nations fell. (FA)Babylon the great was (FB)remembered in the sight of God, to give her (FC)the cup of the wine of [an]His fierce wrath. 20 And (FD)every island fled, and no mountains were found. 21 And (FE)huge [ao]hailstones, weighing about [ap]a talent each, *came down from heaven upon people; and people (FF)blasphemed God because of the (FG)plague of the hail, because [aq]the hailstone plague *was extremely [ar]severe.
