Leviticus 2-3

“‘And when any will offer a meat offering unto the Lord, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it and put frankincense thereon.

And he shall bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests; and he shall take from it his handful of the flour thereof and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the Lord.

And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings to the Lord made by fire.

“‘And if thou bring an oblation of a meat offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.

And if thy oblation be a meat offering baked in a pan, it shall be of fine flour, unleavened, mingled with oil.

Thou shalt part it in pieces and pour oil thereon: it is a meat offering.

And if thy oblation be a meat offering baked in the frying pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

And thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these things unto the Lord; and when it is presented unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar.

And the priest shall take from the meat offering a memorial thereof and shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the Lord.

10 And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the Lord made by fire.

11 “‘No meat offering which ye shall bring unto the Lord shall be made with leaven; for ye shall burn no leaven nor any honey in any offering of the Lord made by fire.

12 As for the oblation of the firstfruits, ye shall offer them unto the Lord, but they shall not be burned on the altar for a sweet savor.

13 And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou allow the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering. With all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.

14 And if thou offer a meat offering of thy firstfruits unto the Lord, thou shalt offer for the meat offering of thy firstfruits green ears of corn dried by the fire, even corn beaten out of full ears.

15 And thou shalt put oil upon it and lay frankincense thereon: it is a meat offering.

16 And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof and part of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

“‘And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd, whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the Lord.

And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation; and Aaron’s sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.

And he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the Lord: the fat that covereth the inwards and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys — it shall he take away.

And Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the Lord.

“‘And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the Lord be of the flock, male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.

If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the Lord.

And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation; and Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar.

And he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the Lord; the fat thereof and the whole rump, it shall he take off hard by the backbone: and the fat that covereth the inwards and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

10 and the two kidneys and the fat that is upon them which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys — it shall he take away.

11 And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire unto the Lord.

12 “‘And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before the Lord.

13 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation; and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.

14 And he shall offer thereof his offering, even an offering made by fire unto the Lord: the fat that covereth the inwards and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

15 and the two kidneys and the fat that is upon them which is by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys — it shall he take away.

16 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savor; all the fat is the Lord’S.

17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.’”

John 21

21 After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way showed He Himself:

There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of His disciples.

Simon Peter said unto them, “I am going fishing.” They said unto him, “We also go with thee.” They went forth and entered into a boat immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

Then Jesus said unto them, “Children, have ye any meat?” And they answered Him, “No.”

And He said unto them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find.” They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it in for the multitude of fishes.

Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said unto Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girded his fisher’s coat unto him (for he was naked) and cast himself into the sea.

And the other disciples came in a little boat (for they were not far from land, but, as it were, two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fishes.

As soon then as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon and bread.

10 Jesus said unto them, “Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.”

11 Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty three; and though there were so many, yet the net was not broken.

12 Jesus said unto them, “Come and dine.” And none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who art Thou?” knowing that it was the Lord.

13 Jesus then came and took bread and gave it to them, and fish likewise.

14 This is now the third time that Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was risen from the dead.

15 So when they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou Me more than these?” He said unto Him, “Yea, Lord; Thou knowest that I love Thee.” He said unto him, “Feed My lambs.”

16 He said to him again the second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou Me?” He said unto Him, “Yea, Lord; Thou knowest that I love Thee.” He said unto him, “Feed My sheep.”

17 He said unto him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou Me?” Peter was grieved because He said unto him the third time, “Lovest thou Me?” And he said unto Him, “Lord, Thou knowest all things. Thou knowest that I love Thee.” Jesus said unto him, “Feed My sheep.

18 Verily, verily I say unto thee, when thou wast young, thou girded thyself and walked whither thou wouldest; but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.”

19 This spoke He, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said unto him, “Follow Me.”

20 Then Peter, turning about, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at supper, and said, “Lord, who is he that betrayeth Thee?”

21 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “Lord, and what shall this man do?”

22 Jesus said unto him, “If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou Me.”

23 Then this saying went abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die. Yet Jesus had not said unto him, “He shall not die,” but, “If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?”

24 This is the disciple who testifieth of these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Proverbs 18

18 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.

A fool hath no delight in understanding, unless his heart may discover itself.

When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt; and with ignominy, reproach.

The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.

It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for blows.

A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

He that is slothful in his work is a brother to him that is a great waster.

10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe.

11 The rich man’s wealth is his stronghold, and as a high wall in his own conceit.

12 Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, and before honor is humility.

13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit, who can bear?

15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.

16 A man’s gift maketh room for him and bringeth him before great men.

17 He that first states his own cause seemeth just, but then his neighbor cometh and searcheth him.

18 Casting lots causeth contentions to cease, and parteth the strife of the mighty.

19 An offended brother is harder to be won back than a stronghold city, and his contentions are like the bars of a castle.

20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the harvest of his lips shall he be filled.

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

22 Whosoever findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtaineth the favor of the Lord.

23 The poor useth entreaties, but the rich answereth roughly.

24 A man that hath friends must show himself friendly, and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Colossians 1

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ, who are at Colossae: Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love which ye have for all the saints,

for the hope which is laid up for you in Heaven, of which ye heard before in the word of the truth of the Gospel,

which has come unto you, as it has in all the world, and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you since the day ye heard of it and knew the grace of God in truth.

Ye also learned of it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ,

who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10 that ye might walk worthy of the Lord, in all pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 strengthened with all might according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

12 giving thanks unto the Father, who hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.

13 He hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son,

14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.

16 For by Him were all things created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him.

17 And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

18 And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He might have the preeminence.

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell,

20 and having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself — by Him, I say, whether they be things on earth or things in heaven.

21 And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, even now hath He reconciled

22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in His sight,

23 if ye continue grounded and settled in the faith, and be not moved away from the hope of the Gospel, which ye have heard and which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, am made a minister.

24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh, for His body’s sake, which is the church,

25 of which I am made a minister according to the dispensation of God, which is given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of God—

26 even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints.

27 To them God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus,

29 for which I also labor, striving according to His working, which worketh in me mightily.
