Deuteronomy 16

16 ¶ Keep the month of the new fruit, {Heb. of Abib} and thou shalt do the passover unto the LORD thy God; for in the month of the new fruit the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.

Thou shalt, therefore, sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the sheep and the cows, in the place which the LORD shall choose to cause his name to dwell therein.

Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou didst come forth out of the land of Egypt in haste; that thou may remember the day when thou didst come forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.

And there shall be no leavened bread seen in thee within all thy borders for seven days; neither shall any of the flesh which thou didst sacrifice the evening of the first day remain all night until the morning.

Thou may not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates (or within any of thy towns) which the LORD thy God gives thee

but at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to cause his name to dwell in; there thou shalt sacrifice the passover in the evening, at the going down of the sun, at the appointed time when thou came forth out of Egypt.

And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, and thou shalt turn in the morning and return unto thy tabernacles.

Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day shall be a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God; thou shalt do no work in this.

Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee; begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou shalt begin to put the sickle to the grain.

10 And thou shalt do the solemn feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God; out of the voluntary abundance of thy hand thou shalt give, according as the LORD thy God has blessed thee.

11 And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou and thy son and thy daughter and thy manslave and thy maidslave and the Levite that is within thy gates and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God has chosen to place his name there.

12 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a slave in Egypt; therefore thou shalt keep and do these statutes.

13 Thou shalt observe the solemn feast of the tabernacles seven days after thou hast gathered in the harvest of thy threshing floor and thy winepress.

14 And thou shalt rejoice in thy solemn feast, thou and thy son and thy daughter and thy manslave and thy maidslave and the Levite and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow, that are within thy gates (or within thy towns).

15 Seven days shalt thou celebrate a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose; because the LORD thy God shall have blessed thee in all thy fruits and in all the works of thine hands, therefore, thou shalt truly be glad.

16 Three times each year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose: in the solemn feast of unleavened bread and in the solemn feast of weeks and in the solemn feast of the tabernacles. And they shall not appear before the LORD empty,

17 Each man with the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God, which he shall have given thee.

18 ¶ Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all the gates of thy cities, which the LORD thy God shall give thee throughout thy tribes, and they shall judge the people with just (and righteous) judgment.

19 Thou shalt not twist that which is right; thou shalt not respect persons neither take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.

20 Thou shalt follow justice and righteousness, that thou may live and inherit the land which the LORD thy God gives thee.

21 Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.

22 Neither shalt thou set thee up any image, which the LORD thy God hates.

Psalm 103

A Psalm of David.

¶ Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless the name of his holiness.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgives all thine iniquities; who heals all thy diseases;

who redeems thy life from destruction; who crowns thee with mercy and compassion;

who satisfies thy mouth with good things so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

¶ The LORD executes righteousness and justice unto all that suffer violence.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the sons of Israel.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide, neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He has not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth so does he increase his mercy over those that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our rebellions from us.

13 Like as a father has mercy upon his children, so the LORD has mercy upon those that fear him.

14 For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass; as an open flower of the field, so he blossoms.

16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place shall know it no more.

17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon those that fear him, and his righteousness unto the children’s children,

18 to such as keep his covenant and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

19 ¶ The LORD has prepared his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.

20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, valiant and strong, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts, ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

22 Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Isaiah 43

43 ¶ But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Do not fear, for I have redeemed thee, I have named thee; Thou art mine.

When thou dost pass through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou dost walk through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Keeper; I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

Because thou wast precious in my sight, thou wast worthy of honour, and I have loved thee.

Do not fear; for I am with thee: I will bring thy generation from the east and gather thee from the west;

I will say to the north wind, Give up, and to the south, Do not keep back; bring my sons from far and my daughters from the ends of the earth

even every one that is called by my name, for I have created them for my glory; I have formed them; yea, I have made them.

¶ Bring forth the people that is blind that have eyes and the deaf that have ears.

Let all the Gentiles be gathered together as one, and let the peoples be joined; who among them can declare this and show us former things? Let them bring forth their witnesses that they may be justified or let them hear and say, It is truth.

10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my slave whom I have chosen that ye may know and believe me and understand that I am he; before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

12 I have declared and have saved, and I have showed when there was no strange god among you; therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.

13 Even before the day was I existed; and there is no one that can deliver out of my hand; if I work, who shall hinder it?

14 ¶ Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon and caused fugitives to descend unto all of them and the clamour of Chaldeans in the ships.

15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.

16 Thus saith the LORD, who makes a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters;

17 when he brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall fall together, and never rise; they are extinct; they are quenched as wick.

18 Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; it shall come to light quickly; shall ye not know it? I will again make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert to give drink to my people, my chosen.

21 This people I have formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise.

22 ¶ But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

23 Thou hast not brought me the animals of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.

24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices, but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins; thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

25 I, even I, am he that uproots thy rebellions for mine own sake and will not remember thy sins.

26 Cause me to remember; let us enter into judgment together; declare, thou, that it may be put to thy account.

27 Thy first father sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.

28 Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary and have set up Jacob as anathema, and Israel as a reproach.

Revelation 13

13 ¶ And I stood upon the sand of the sea and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon its horns ten crowns, and upon its heads the name of blasphemy.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and its feet were as the feet of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave it his power and his throne and great authority.

And I saw one of its heads as it were wounded to death; and its deadly wound was healed; and all the earth marveled, and followed the beast.

And they worshipped the dragon which had given the authority unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast; saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with it?

And there was given unto it a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto it to continue forty and two months.

And it opened its mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and those that dwell in heaven.

And it was given unto it to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and power was given it over all kindreds and tongues and nations.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship it, whose names are not written in the book of the life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.

If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

10 He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11 ¶ Then I beheld another beast coming up out of the land; and he had two horns like the Lamb, but he spoke as the dragon.

12 And he exercised all the power of the first beast in its presence and caused the earth and those that dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he does great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven to the earth in the sight of men

14 and deceives those that dwell on the earth by those signs which were given unto him to do in the presence of the beast, commanding those that dwell on the earth to make an image of the beast, which has the wound by the sword, and did live.

15 And it was given unto him to endue the image of the beast with spirit, so that the image of the beast should speak, and he shall cause those that do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

16 And he caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slaves, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads;

17 and that no one might buy or sell, unless he has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of its name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for the number of man; and its number is six hundred sixty-six.
