2 Chronicles 35

35 Moreover, Josiah kept a Passover to the LORD in Jerusalem. And they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

And he appointed the priests to their charges and encouraged them to the service of the House of the LORD.

And he said to the Levites who taught all Israel and were sanctified to the LORD, “Put the Holy Ark in the House which Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel, built. It shall no longer be a burden upon your shoulders. Serve the LORD your God, now, and His people Israel,

“and prepare yourselves by the Houses of your fathers, according to your divisions, as David the king of Israel has written, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.

“And stand in the Sanctuary according to the division of the families of your brethren, the children of the people, and the division of the family of the Levites.

“So kill the Passover and sanctify yourselves and prepare your brethren, so that they may do according to the Word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.”

Josiah also gave sheep, lambs and kids to the people, all for the Passover, to all who were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bulls. These were from the king’s possessions.

And his princes offered willingly to the people, to the priests and to the Levites. Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the House of God, gave two thousand six hundred sheep and three hundred bulls to the priests for the Passover.

Also, Conaniah and Shemaiah and Nethanel (his brethren), Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave five thousand sheep and five hundred bulls to the Levites for the Passover.

10 Thus the service was prepared. And the Priests stood in their places, and the Levites in their orders, according to the king’s commandment.

11 And they killed the Passover. And the priests sprinkled the blood with their hands. And the Levites skinned them.

12 And they took away the Burnt Offering, to give it according to the divisions of the families of the children of the people, to offer to the LORD, as it is written in the Book of Moses, and the same for the bulls.

13 And they roasted the Passover with fire, according to the custom. But they boiled the sanctified things in pots, pans and cauldrons, and distributed them quickly to all the people.

14 And afterward, they prepared for themselves and for the priests. For the priests, the sons of Aaron, were occupied in the offering of Burnt Offerings and the fat until night. Therefore, the Levites prepared for themselves and for the priests (the sons of Aaron).

15 And the singers (the sons of Asaph) stood in their places according to the commandment of David and Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, the king’s Seer. And the gatekeepers were at every gate, who may not depart from their service. Therefore, their brethren, the Levites, prepared for them.

16 So, all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the Passover and to offer Burnt Offerings upon the Altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of King Josiah.

17 And the children of Israel who were present kept the Passover at that time, and the Feast of the Unleavened Bread, for seven days.

18 And there was no Passover kept like that in Israel from the days of Samuel the Prophet. Nor did any of the kings of Israel ever keep such a Passover as Josiah kept with the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

19 This Passover was kept in the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah.

20 After all this, after Josiah had prepared the Temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Perath. And Josiah went out against him.

21 But he sent messengers to him, saying, “What have I to do with you, king of Judah? I do not come against you this day, but against the House of my enemy. And God Commanded me to hurry. Cease your coming against God, Who is with me, lest He destroy you.”

22 But Josiah would not turn his face from him. But he changed his apparel to fight with him and did not listen to the words of Necho, which were from the Mouth of God. But he came to fight in the Valley of Megiddo.

23 And the archers shot at King Josiah. Then the king said to his servants, “Carry me away; for I am very sick.”

24 So his servants took him out of that chariot and put him in the second chariot which he had. And when they had brought him to Jerusalem, he died and was buried in the sepulchers of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

25 And Jeremiah lamented Josiah. And all singing men and singing women mourn for Josiah in their Lamentations to this day. They made the same an ordinance in Israel. And behold, they are written in the Lamentations.

26 Concerning the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, as it was written in the Law of the LORD,

27 and his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.

Revelation 21

21 And I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth. For the first Heaven and the first Earth had passed away. And there was no more sea.

And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, come down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, “Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with man! And He will dwell with them! And they shall be His people! And God Himself shall be their God with them!

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes! And there shall be no more death or sorrow or crying. Nor shall there be any more pain. For the first things are passed!”

And He who sat upon the throne, said, “Behold, I make all things new!” And He said to me, “Write. For these things are faithful and true.”

And He said to me, “It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give freely from the well of the water of life to him who is thirsty.

“He who overcomes, shall inherit all things. And I will be his God. And he shall be My Son.

“But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall take their place in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

And there came to me one of the seven angels, who had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, “Come. I will show you the Bride, the Lamb’s wife.”

10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain. And he showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from God,

11 having the Glory of God. And she shined like a most precious stone—as a jasper stone, clear as crystal—

12 and had a great high wall with twelve gates. And at the gates were twelve angels. And the names written on them were the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

13 On the east part, there were three gates; and on the north side, three gates; on the south side three gates; and on the west side, three gates.

14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations; and in them, the names of the Lamb’s twelve Apostles.

15 And he who walked with me had a golden reed, with which to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

16 And the city lays square. And the length is as large as the breadth of it. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. And the length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

17 And he measured the wall thereof: 144 cubits, by the measure of man (that is, of the angel).

18 And the structure of the wall was of jasper. And the city was pure gold, like clear glass.

19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all kinds of precious stones. The first foundation was of jasper; the second, Sapphire; the third, of Chalcedony; the fourth of an Emerald;

20 the fifth, of a Sardonyx; the sixth, of a Sardius; the seventh, of a Chrysolite; the eighth, of a Beryl; the ninth, of a Topaz; the tenth, of a Chrysoprase; the eleventh, of a Jacinth; the twelfth, an Amethyst.

21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls. And every gate is made of one pearl. And the street of the city is pure gold, as shining glass.

22 And I saw no Temple therein. For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it.

23 And their city has no need of the Sun, nor of the Moon, to shine in it. For the Glory of God lit it. And the Lamb is the Light of it.

24 And the people who are saved shall walk in the light of it. And the kings of the Earth shall bring their glory and honor to it.

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut by day. For there shall be no night there.

26 And the glory and honor of the Gentiles shall be brought into it.

27 And there shall enter into it no unclean thing, nor whatever works abomination or lies; but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Malachi 3

“Behold, I will send My messenger. And he shall prepare the way before Me. And the LORD Whom you seek shall speedily come to His Temple. The messenger of the Covenant, whom you desire, behold, he shall come,” says the LORD of Hosts.

“But who may abide the Day of His coming? And who shall endure when He appears? For He is like a purging fire, and like launderer’s soap.

“And He shall sit down to try and refine the silver. He shall even refine the sons of Levi and purify them as gold and silver, so that they may bring Offerings to the LORD in righteousness.

“Then shall the Offerings of Judah and Jerusalem be acceptable to the LORD, as in days of old and in the years before.

“And I will come near to you, to judgment. And I will be a swift Witness against the soothsayers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those who wrongfully keep back the hireling’s wages, and trouble the widow, and the fatherless, and oppress the stranger, and do not fear Me,” says the LORD of Hosts.

“For I am the LORD. I do not change. And you sons of Jacob are not at an end.

“From the days of your fathers, you have gone away from My Ordinances, and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD of Hosts. “But you said, ‘How shall we return?’

“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’—in tithes and offerings.

“You are cursed with a curse. For this whole nation has robbed Me.

10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My House. And test Me now with this,” says the LORD of Hosts, “if I will not open the windows of Heaven for you and pour you out a blessing without measure.

11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes. And he shall not destroy the fruit of your ground. Nor shall your vine be barren in the field,” says the LORD of Hosts.

12 “And all nations shall call you blessed. For you shall be a pleasant land,” says the LORD of Hosts.

13 “Your words have been stout against Me,” says the LORD, “yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against You?’

14 “You have said, ‘It is in vain to serve God,’ and, ‘What profit is it that we have kept His Commandment and that we walked humbly before the LORD of Hosts?

15 ‘Therefore, we count the proud blessed. Even those who work wickedness are set up. And those who tempt God, yea, they are delivered.’”

16 Then those who feared the LORD spoke, everyone to his neighbor. And the LORD listened and heard it. And a Book of Remembrance was written before Him for those who feared the LORD, and who thought upon His Name.

17 “And they shall be Mine,” says the LORD of Hosts, “on that Day that I shall make them My possession. And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.”

18 Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and wicked, between him who serves God and him who does not serve Him.

John 20

20 Now, the first of the week, Mary Magdalene came to the sepulcher - early, when it was still dark. And she saw the stone taken away from the tomb.

Then she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher! And we do not know where they have laid Him!”

Therefore, Peter went out, and the other disciple, and they came to the sepulcher.

So they both ran together. But the other disciple outran Peter and came to the sepulcher first.

And he stooped down and saw the linen clothes lying. Still, he did not go in.

Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the sepulcher. And he saw the linen clothes, laying.

And the facecloth that was upon His head was not laying with the linen clothes but was wrapped together in a place by itself.

Then the other disciple (who had first come to the sepulcher) went in also. And he saw it and believed.

For as yet they did not know the Scripture, “That He must rise again from the dead”.

10 And the disciples went away again to their own home.

11 But Mary stood outside the sepulcher, weeping. And as she wept, she stooped down into the sepulcher

12 and saw two angels in white, sitting - one at the head and the other at the feet - where the body of Jesus had lain.

13 And they said to her, “Woman, why do you weep?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”

14 When she had said this, she turned back and saw Jesus, standing. And she didn’t know that it was Jesus.

15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek?” She, supposing that He was the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if you have taken Him from here, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”

16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned, and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, “Master”)

17 Jesus said to her, “Do not touch Me. For I am not yet ascended to My Father. But, go to My brothers and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father, and to your Father, and to My God, and your God’.”

18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.

19 The evening of the same day (which was the first of the week), when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and said to them, “Peace to you.”

20 And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples rejoiced, having seen the Lord.

21 Then Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you. As My Father sent Me, so I send you.”

22 And when He had said that, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Ghost.”

23 “Whoever’s sins you forgive, they are forgiven them. And whoever’s sins you retain, they are retained.”

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve (called Didymus) was not with them when Jesus came.

25 Therefore, the other disciples said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the mark of the nails in His hands and put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe it!”

26 And eight days later, His disciples were inside again and Thomas with them. Then Jesus came (when the doors were shut) and stood in their midst, and said, “Peace to you.”

27 Afterward, He said to Thomas, “Put your finger here. And see My hands. And put forth your hand and put it into My side. And do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

28 Then Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord, and my God!”

29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you believe. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”

30 And Jesus also did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this Book.

31 But these things are written so that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. And that in believing, you might have life, through His Name.
