2 Chronicles 33

33 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign. And he reigned for fifty-five years in Jerusalem.

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, like the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.

For he went back and built the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down. And he set up altars for Baal and made groves and worshipped all the host of the heaven and served them.

Also, he built altars in the House of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, “In Jerusalem shall My Name be forever.”

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the House of the LORD.

And he made his sons pass through the fire in the valley of Ben-hinnom. He gave himself to witchcraft and to charming and to sorcery. And he used mediums and soothsayers. He did very much evil in the sight of the LORD to anger Him.

He also put the carved image which he had made in the House of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon, his son, “In this House and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, I will put My Name forever.

“I will no longer remove the foot of Israel out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers, so that they consider and do all that I have Commanded them, according to the Law and Statutes and Judgments by the hand of Moses.”

So, Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem err, to do worse than the heathen whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.

10 And the LORD spoke to Manasseh and to his people; but they would not pay attention.

11 Therefore, the LORD brought the captains of the army of the king of Assyria upon them, who took Manasseh in fetters and bound him in chains and carried him to Babel.

12 And when he was in tribulation, he prayed to the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

13 and prayed to him. And God was moved by him, and heard his prayer, and brought him back to Jerusalem, into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God.

14 Now after this, he built a wall outside the City of David, on the western side of Gihon, in the valley, at the entry of the Fish Gate. And it surrounded Ophel and was raised very high. And he put captains of war in all the strong cities of Judah.

15 And he took away the strange gods and the image out of the House of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built on the mount of the House of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.

16 Also, he prepared the Altar of the LORD, and sacrificed Peace Offerings on it, and those of thanks, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.

17 Nonetheless, the people still sacrificed in the high places, but to the LORD their God.

18 Concerning the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer to his God, and the words of the Seers who spoke to him in the Name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are in the Book of the Kings of Israel.

19 And his prayer and how God was moved by him, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places in which he built high places and set groves and images (before he was humbled), behold, they are written in the Book of the Seers.

20 So, Manasseh slept with his fathers. And they buried him in his own house. And Amon, his son, reigned in his place.

21 Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign and reigned for two years in Jerusalem.

22 But he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father. For Amon sacrificed to all the images which Manasseh his father had made and served them.

23 And he did not humble himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself. But this Amon trespassed more and more.

24 And his servants conspired against him and killed him in his own house.

25 But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon. And the people of the land made Josiah, his son, king in his place.

Revelation 19

19 And after these things, I heard a great voice of a great multitude in Heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and honor and power be to the Lord our God!

“For true and righteous are His judgments! For He has condemned the great whore who corrupted the Earth with her fornication; and has avenged the blood of His servants, shed by her hand!”

And again they said, “Hallelujah! And her smoke rises up for evermore!”

And the 24 elders, and the four beasts, fell down and worshipped God Who sat on the throne, saying, “Amen! Hallelujah!”

Then a voice came out of the throne, saying, “Praise our God, all his servants; and you who fear Him, both small and great!”

And I heard a voice like that of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of strong thunderings, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord God Almighty has reigned!

“Let us be glad and rejoice and give glory to Him! For the marriage of the Lamb has come! And his wife has made herself ready!

“And to her it was granted that she should be arrayed with pure fine linen and shining!” For fine linen is the righteousness of saints!”

Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the Lamb’s supper.’” And he said to me, “These words of God are true.”

10 And I fell before his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do it. I am your fellow servant, and one of your brothers, who has the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy.”

11 And I saw Heaven open. And behold, a white horse. And He who sat upon him was called faithful and true. And He judges and fights righteously.

12 And His eyes were as a flame of fire. And on His head were many crowns. And He had a name written, that no one knew but Himself.

13 And He was clothed with a garment dipped in blood. And His name is called, ‘The Word of God’.

14 And the armies who were in Heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed with fine linen, white and pure.

15 And out of His mouth went a sharp sword; so that with it, He would strike the heathen. For He shall rule them with a rod of iron. For it is He who treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And He has upon his garment, and upon his thigh, a name written, ‘The King of Kings and Lord of Lords’.

17 And I saw an angel stand in the Sun, who cried with a loud voice, saying, “To all the birds that flew by the midst of Heaven: Come! And gather yourselves together to the supper of the great God;

18 “so that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of high captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all freemen, and bondmen, and of small and great.”

19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the Earth, and their hosts, gathered together to make battle against Him who sat on the horse; and against His army.

20 But the beast was taken, and with him that false prophet who wrought miracles before him (whereby he deceived those who received the beast’s mark and those who worshipped his image). These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21 And the remnant was slain with the sword of Him who sits upon the horse (which comes out of His mouth). And all the birds were filled full with their flesh.

Malachi 1

The burden of the Word of the LORD to Israel by the ministry of Malachi.

“I have loved you,” says the LORD. “Yet you say, ‘How have You loved us?’ Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” says the LORD. “Yet I loved Jacob

“and I hated Esau and made his mountains waste, and his heritage a wilderness for dragons.

“Though Edom says, ‘We are impoverished. But we will return and build the desolate places.’ Still, the LORD of Hosts says: ‘They shall build but I will destroy it.’ And they shall call them, ‘The Border of Wickedness,’ and the people with whom the LORD is angry forever.

“And your eyes shall see it. And you shall say, ‘The LORD will be magnified upon the border of Israel.’

‘A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then, I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is My fear?’ says the LORD of Hosts to you, O priests, who despise My Name. And you say, ‘How have we despised Your Name?’

“You offer unclean bread upon My Altar. And you say, ‘How have we polluted You?’ By doing that, you say, ‘The Table of the LORD is not to be regarded.’

“And if you offer the blind for Sacrifice, it is not evil. And if you offer the lame and sick, it is not evil. Offer it now to your princes! Will he be content with you or accept your person?” says the LORD of Hosts.

“And now, please pray before God that He may have mercy upon us, since this has been done by your hand. Will He regard your means favorably?” says the LORD of Hosts.

10 “Who is there even among you who would shut the doors and not kindle fire upon My Altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you,” says the LORD of Hosts, “Nor will I accept an offering from your hand.

11 “For from the rising of the Sun to the going down of the same, My Name is great among the Gentiles. And in every place, incense shall be offered to My Name, and a pure Offering. For My Name is great among the heathen,” says the LORD of Hosts.

12 “But you have polluted it, in that you say, ‘The Table of the LORD is polluted, and its fruit. His food is not to be regarded.’

13 “You also said, ‘Behold, it is a weariness!’ And you have sneered at it,” says the LORD of Hosts. “And you offered that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick. Thus you offered an Offering. Should I accept this from your hand?” says the LORD.

14 “But cursed is the deceiver who has a male in his flock and vows and sacrifices a corrupt thing to the LORD! For I am a great King!” says the LORD of Hosts, “And My Name is terrible among the heathen.”

John 18

18 When Jesus had spoken these things, He went forth with His disciples over the brook, Kidron; where there was a garden - into which He and His disciples entered.

And Judas, who betrayed Him, also knew the place. For Jesus often gathered there with His disciples.

Then Judas, after he had procured a cohort and officers of the chief priests, and of the Pharisees, came with lanterns and torches and weapons.

Then Jesus, knowing all things that would come to Him, went forth and said to them, “Whom do you seek?”

They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am He.” Now Judas, who also betrayed Him, stood with them.

Then, as soon as He had said to them, “I am He”, they drew back and fell to the ground.

Then He asked them again, “Whom do you seek?”And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”

Jesus answered, “I said to you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way.”

This was so that the Word might be fulfilled which He spoke, ‘Of those whom You gave Me, I have lost none.’

10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it, and struck the High Priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. Now the servant’s name was Malchus.

11 Then Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink from the cup which My Father has given Me?”

12 Then the cohort and the captain and the officers of the Jews took Jesus and bound Him;

13 and led Him away to Annas first (for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was the High Priest that same year.)

14 And Caiaphas was the one who had given counsel to the Jews that it was expedient for one Man to die for the people.

15 Now, Simon Peter followed Jesus and another disciple. And that disciple was known by the High Priest. Therefore, he went in with Jesus into the hall of the High Priest.

16 But Peter stood at the door, outside. Then, the other disciple who was known to the High Priest went out and spoke to the doorkeeper and brought in Peter.

17 Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, “Aren’t you also one of this Man’s disciples?” He said, “I am not.”

18 And the servants and officers who had made a fire of coals, stood there; for it was cold and they warmed themselves. And Peter also stood among them and warmed himself.

19 The High Priest then asked Jesus about His disciples, and about His doctrine.

20 Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in the synagogue and in the Temple, where the Jews gather continually. And I have said nothing in secret.

21 “Why do you ask Me? Ask those who heard Me what I said to them. Behold, they know what I said.”

22 When He had spoken these things, one of the officers who stood by struck Jesus, saying, “You answer the High Priest so?”

23 Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil. But if I have spoken well, why do you strike Me?”

24 Now Annas had sent Him bound to Caiaphas the High Priest.

25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. And they said to him, “Aren’t you also one of His disciples?” He denied it, and said, “I am not.”

26 One of the servants of the High Priest, his cousin, whose ear Peter cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with Him?”

27 Peter then denied again. And immediately the cock crew.

28 Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas into the common hall. Now it was morning, and they themselves did not go into the common hall (so that they would not be defiled, and that they might eat the Passover).

29 Then Pilate went out to them, and said, “What accusation do you bring against this Man?”

30 They answered, and said to him, “If He were not an evil doer, we would not have delivered Him to you.”

31 Then Pilate said to them, “Take Him, and judge Him after your own Law.” Then the Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death,”

32 so that the Word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which He spoke signifying what death He would die.

33 So Pilate entered into the common hall again; and called Jesus, and said to him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”

34 Jesus answered him, “Do you say that of yourself, or did others tell it to you about Me?”

35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation, and the High Priest, have delivered You to me. What have You done?”

36 Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, My servants would surely fight, so that I might not be delivered to the Jews. But now, My Kingdom is not from here.”

37 Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You a King, then?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a King. For this reason, I am born. And for this reason, I came into the world; that I should bear witness to the Truth. Everyone that is of the Truth, hears My voice.”

38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said that, he went out again to the Jews and said to them, “I find no guilt in Him at all.

39 “But you have a custom that I should release one to you at the Passover. Shall I then release to you the King of the Jews?”

40 Then they all cried again, saying, “Not Him, but Barabbas!” Now, this Barabbas was a murderer.
