M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
29 Hezekiah began to reign when he was twenty-five years old and reigned for twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.
2 And he did uprightly in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.
3 He opened the Doors of the House of the LORD in the first year, and in the first month of his reign, and repaired them.
4 And he brought in the priests and the Levites and gathered them into the east street,
5 and said to them, “Hear me, you Levites! Sanctify yourselves now, and sanctify the House of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the Sanctuary!
6 “For our fathers have trespassed and done evil in the Eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken Him, and turned away their faces from the Tabernacle of the LORD and turned their backs.”
7 “They have also shut the doors of the porch and quenched the lamps and have neither burnt incense nor offered Burnt Offerings to the God of Israel in the Sanctuary.
8 “Therefore, the wrath of the LORD has been on Judah and Jerusalem. And He has made them a scattering, a desolation, and a hissing, as you see with your eyes.
9 “For lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword. And our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for the same reason.
10 “Now I intend to make a Covenant with the LORD God of Israel, so that He may turn away His fierce wrath from us.
11 “Now my sons, do not be deceived. For the LORD has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and to be His ministers, and to burn incense.”
12 Then the Levites arose. Of the sons of the Kohathites came Mahath, the son of Amasai, and Joel, the son of Azariah. And of the sons of Merari came Kish, the son of Abdi, and Azariah, the son of Jehallelel. And of the Gershonites came Joah, the son of Zimmah, and Eden, the son of Joah.
13 And of the sons of Elizaphan came Shimri and Jeiel. And of the sons of Asaph came Zechariah and Mattaniah.
14 And of the sons of Heman came Jehiel and Shimei. And of the sons of Jeduthun came Shemaiah and Uzziel.
15 And they gathered their brethren and sanctified themselves and came according to the commandment of the king, by the Words of the LORD, to cleanse the House of the LORD.
16 And the priests went into the inner parts of the House of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the Temple of the LORD into the court of the House of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out to the brook Kidron.
17 They began to sanctify it on the first day of the first month. And on the eighth day of the month, they came to the porch of the LORD. So they sanctified the House of the LORD in eight days. And on the sixteenth day of the first month, they finished.
18 Then they went in to Hezekiah the king and said, “We have cleansed all the House of the LORD, and the Altar of Burnt Offering, with all its vessels, and the Showbread Table, with all its vessels.
19 “And have we prepared and sanctified all the vessels which King Ahaz had cast aside when he reigned and transgressed. And behold, they are before the Altar of the LORD.”
20 And Hezekiah the king rose early and gathered the princes of the city and went up to the House of the LORD.
21 And they brought seven bullocks and seven rams and seven lambs and seven male goats for a Sin Offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah. And he commanded the Priests (the sons of Aaron) to offer them on the Altar of the LORD.
22 So, they killed the bulls, and the Priests received the blood, and sprinkled it upon the Altar. They also killed the rams and sprinkled the blood upon the Altar. And they killed the lambs; and they sprinkled the blood upon the Altar.
23 Then they brought the male goats for the Sin Offering before the king and the Congregation. And they laid their hands upon them.
24 And the Priests killed them. And they cleansed the Altar with their blood, to reconcile all Israel. For the king had commanded the Burnt Offering and the Sin Offering for all Israel.
25 He also appointed the Levites in the House of the LORD, and Gad the king’s Seer and Nathan the Prophet, with cymbals, with viols, and with harps, according to the commandment of David. For the commandment was by the Hand of the LORD and by the hands of His Prophets.
26 And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
27 And Hezekiah commanded to offer the Burnt Offering upon the Altar. And when the Burnt Offering began, the song of the LORD began with the trumpets, and the instruments of David, king of Israel.
28 And all the congregation worshipped, singing a song. And they blew the trumpets. All this continued until the Burnt Offering was finished.
29 And after they had finished offering, the king and all who were present with him bowed themselves and worshipped.
30 Then Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to praise the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the Seer. So, they praised with joy, and they bowed themselves and worshipped.
31 And Hezekiah spoke, and said, “Now you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD. Come near and bring the Sacrifices and Thank Offerings into the House of the LORD.” And the Congregation brought Sacrifices and Thank Offerings. And every man who was willing in heart offered Burnt Offerings.
32 And the number of the Burnt Offerings which the Congregation brought was seventy bulls, a hundred rams, and two hundred lambs. All these were for a Burnt Offering to the LORD.
33 And they brought six hundred bulls and three thousand sheep for sanctification.
34 But the priests were too few and were not able to skin all the Burnt Offerings. Therefore their brethren, the Levites, helped them, until they had ended the work, and until other priests were sanctified. For the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.
35 And also the Burnt Offerings were many, with the fat of the Peace Offerings and the Drink Offerings for the Burnt Offering. So, the service of the House of the LORD was set in order.
36 Then, Hezekiah rejoiced (and all the people) that God had made the people so ready. For the thing was done suddenly.
15 And I saw another sign in Heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues. For by them is fulfilled the wrath of God.
2 And I saw (as it were) a glassy sea, mingled with fire. And those who had gotten victory over the beast - and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name - stand at the glassy sea, having the harps of God.
3 And they sang the song of Moses (the servant of God) and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are your ways, King of Saints!
4 “Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify Your Name! For You only are holy! And all nations shall come and worship before You! For Your judgments are revealed!”
5 And after that, I looked. And behold, the Temple of the Tabernacle of Testimony was open in Heaven.
6 And the seven angels who had the seven plagues came out of the Temple, clothed in pure and bright linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.
7 And therefore, four beasts gave the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, Who lives for evermore.
8 And the Temple was full of the smoke of the Glory of God and of His power. And no one was able to enter into the Temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
11 Open your doors, O Lebanon! And the fire shall devour your cedars!
2 Howl, fir trees! For the cedar has fallen, because all the mighty are destroyed! Howl, O oaks of Bashan! For the defensed forest is cut down.
3 The voice of the howling of the shepherds is there—for their glory is destroyed —the voice of the roaring of lion’s whelps! For the pride of Jordan is destroyed!
4 Thus says the LORD my God: “Feed the sheep of the slaughter.
5 “Those who possess them, kill them and hold themselves sinless. And those who sell them, say, ‘Blessed be the LORD! For I am rich!’ And their own shepherds do not spare them.
6 “Surely I will no longer spare those who dwell in the land,” says the LORD. “But lo, I will deliver each one of the men into his neighbor’s hand, and into the hand of his king. And they shall strike the land. And I will not deliver them out of their hands.”
7 So I fed the sheep of slaughter, even the poor of the flock. And I took two staffs for myself —the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands —and I fed the sheep.
8 I also cut off three shepherds in one month. And my soul loathed them. And their soul abhorred me.
9 Then I said, “I will not feed you. That which dies, let it die. And that which perishes, let it perish. And let the remnant eat, everyone the flesh of his neighbor.”
10 And I took my staff, Beauty, and broke it, so that I might break my covenant which I had made with all people.
11 And it was broken on that day. And so, the poor of the sheep that waited upon me knew that it was the Word of the LORD.
12 And I said to them, “If you think it good, give me my wages. And if no, leave it.” So, they weighed thirty pieces of silver for my wages.”
13 And the LORD said to me, “Cast it to the potter,” (that goodly price at which I was valued by them). And I took the thirty pieces of silver and cast them to the potter in the House of the LORD.
14 Then I broke my other staff, the Bands, so that I might dissolve the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
15 And the LORD said to me, “Take again for yourself the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
16 “For lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land which shall not look for the thing that is lost, or seek the tender lambs, or heal that which is hurt, or feed that which stands. But he shall eat flesh of the fat and tear their claws in pieces.
17 “O idol shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword shall be upon his arm and upon his right eye! His arm shall be completely dried up. And his right eye shall be utterly darkened.”
14 “Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 “In My Father’s House are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 “And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there may you be also.
4 “And where I go, you know; and the way you know.”
5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we don’t know where You’re going. How, then, can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, if not by Me.
7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. And henceforth, you know Him, and have seen Him.”
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it will satisfy us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “I have been with you such a long time, and have you not known Me, Philip? Whoever has seen Me, has seen the Father. How then can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”
10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of Myself. But the Father who dwells in Me, He does the works.
11 “Believe Me, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me. At the least, believe Me for the very works’ sake.
12 “Truly, truly I say to you, whoever believes in Me, the works that I do, he shall do also, and greater than these shall he do. For I go to My Father.
13 “And whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do; so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 “If you shall ask anything in My Name, I will do it.
15 “If you love Me, keep My Commandments.
16 “And I will ask the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may be with you forever;
17 the Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him. For He dwells with you and shall be in you.
18 “I will not leave you fatherless. I will come to you.
19 “Yet a little while, and the world shall see Me no more. But you shall see Me. Because I live, you shall live also.
20 “At that day, you shall know that I am in My Father; and you in Me; and I in you.
21 Whoever has My Commandments, and keeps them, is he who loves Me. And whoever loves Me, shall be loved by My Father. And I will love him and will show Myself to him.”
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, why do You show Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 Jesus answered, and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him. And We will come to him and will dwell with him.
24 “Whoever does not love Me, does not keep My Words. And the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s, Who sent Me.
25 “These things I have spoken to you, being present with you.
26 “But the Comforter (Who is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My Name) He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance which I have told you.
27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor fear.
28 “You have heard how I said to you, ‘I go away, and will come to you’. If you loved Me, you would truly rejoice, because I said, ‘I go to the Father’, for the Father is greater than Me.
29 “And now have I spoken to you before it comes, so that when it has happened you might believe.
30 “I will no longer speak many things to you. For the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in Me,
31 “But that the world may know that I love My Father. And as the Father has commanded Me, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.”
