M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
17 “You shall offer to the LORD your God no bullock or sheep in which is a blemish or any defect. For that is an abomination to the LORD your God.
2 “If there is found among you in any of your cities which the LORD your God gives you, man or woman who has worked wickedness in the sight of the LORD your God in transgressing His Covenant
3 “and has gone and served other gods and worshipped them (as the Sun or the Moon or any of the host of Heaven which I have not commanded)
4 “and it is told to you and you have heard it, then you shall inquire diligently. And if true, the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel,
5 “then you shall bring forth to your gates that man or that woman who has committed that wicked thing (man or woman) and shall stone them with stones until they die.
6 “At the mouth of two or three witnesses shall he who is worthy of death die. At the mouth of one witness, he shall not die.
7 “The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him, to kill him, and then the hands of all the people. Thus you shall take the wicked away from among you.
8 “If there arises a matter too hard for you in judgment between blood and blood, between plea and plea, between plague and plague, in the matter of controversy within your gates, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the LORD your God shall choose.
9 “And you shall come to the priests of the Levites, and to the Judge that shall be in those days and ask. And they shall show you the sentence of judgment.
10 “And you shall do according to that thing which they of that place (which the LORD has chosen) show you. And you shall do according to all that they instruct you.
11 “According to the Law which they shall teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall tell you, shall you do. You shall not turn away from the thing which they shall show you, to the right hand or the left.
12 “And that man who will do presumptuously, not obeying the priest who stands before the LORD your God (to minister there) or to the judge, that man shall die. And you shall take away evil from Israel.
13 “So all the people shall hear and fear and do no more presumptuously.
14 “When you shall come to the land which the LORD your God gives you and shall possess it and dwell in it, if thou say, ‘I will set a king over me, just as all the nations that are around me’,
15 “you shall make him king over you whom the LORD your God shall choose. From among your brothers shall you make a king over yourselves. You shall not set a stranger over yourself who is not your brother.
16 “In any case, he shall not prepare many horses for himself, nor bring the people back to Egypt to increase the number of horses, seeing the LORD has said to you, ‘You shall never go that way again’.
17 “Nor shall he take many wives for himself, lest his heart turn away. Nor shall he gather much silver and gold for himself.
18 “And when he shall sit upon the throne of his kingdom, then he shall write himself this Law, repeated in a book by the Priest of the Levites.
19 “And it shall be with him. And he shall read it all days of his life, so that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this Law and to do these Ordinances,
20 “so that his heart is not lifted up above his brothers’ and that he does not turn to the right hand or to the left from the Commandment, so that he may prolong his days in his kingdom (he and his sons) in the midst of Israel.”
104 Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD, my God, You are exceedingly great. You are clothed with Glory and honor.
2 The One Who covers Himself with light, as with a garment, and spread the heavens like a curtain.
3 The One Who lays the beams of His chambers in the waters, and makes the clouds His chariot, and walks upon the wings of the wind.
4 The One Who makes the spirits His messengers, and a flaming fire His ministers.
5 The One Who sets the Earth upon her foundations, so that it shall never move.
6 You cover it with the deep, as with a garment. The waters stood above the mountains.
7 At Your rebuke they flee; at the voice of Your thunder they hurry away.
8 The mountains ascend. The valleys descend to the place which You have established for them.
9 You have set them a boundary which they shall not pass. They shall not return to cover the Earth.
10 He sends the springs into the valleys, which run between the mountains.
11 They shall give drink to all the beasts of the field, and the wild asses shall quench their thirst.
12 By these springs shall the birds of the heaven dwell and sing among the branches.
13 He waters the mountains from His chambers. The Earth is filled with the fruit of Your works.
14 He causes grass to grow for the cattle and herbs for the use of man; so that he may bring forth bread out of the Earth
15 and wine that makes the heart of man glad and oil to make his face shine and bread that strengthens man’s heart.
16 The high trees are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon which He has planted,
17 so that the birds may make their nests there. The stork dwells in the fir trees.
18 The high mountains are for the goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
19 He appointed the Moon for certain seasons; the Sun knows its going down.
20 You make darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth.
21 The lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God.
22 When the Sun rises, they retire and lie down in their dens.
23 Then man goes forth to his work, and to his labor, until the evening.
24 O LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom, You have made them all. The Earth is full of Your riches!
25 So great and wide is the sea; in which are innumerable creeping things, both small beasts and great.
26 Thereupon go the ships, and therein plays that Leviathan, whom You have made.
27 All these wait upon You, so that You may give them food in due season.
28 You give it to them, and they gather it. You open Your hand, and they are filled with good things.
29 If You hide Your face, they are troubled. If You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
30 You send forth Your spirit, and they are created; You renew the face of the Earth.
31 Glory be to the LORD forever. Let the LORD rejoice in His works!
32 He looks on the Earth and it trembles. He touches the mountains and they smoke.
33 I will sing to the LORD all my life. I will praise my God while I live.
34 Let my words be acceptable to Him. I will rejoice in the LORD.
35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the Earth, and the wicked, until there are no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD!
44 “But hear now, O Jacob, My servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen.
2 “Thus says the LORD, Who made you and formed you from the womb, Who will help you: ‘Fear not, O Jacob, My servant, and you righteous whom I have chosen.
3 ‘For I will pour water upon the thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground. I will pour My Spirit upon your seed, and My blessing upon your buds.
4 ‘And they shall grow, as among the grass, as the willows by the rivers of waters.’
5 “One shall say, ‘I am the LORD’s.’ Another shall be called by the name of Jacob. And another shall write to the LORD with his hand, and name himself by the name of Israel.
6 “Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, and its Redeemer, the LORD of Hosts: ‘I Am the First and I Am the Last. And without Me there is no God.
7 ‘And who is like Me? Who shall call and shall declare it, and set it in order before Me, since I appointed the ancient people? And what is at hand and what things are to come, let them show to them.
8 ‘Do not fear or be afraid. Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? There is no God, none to know.’”
9 All those who make an image are useless. And their delectable things shall nothing profit. And they are their own witnesses, that they do not see or know. Therefore, they shall be confounded.
10 Who makes a god, or casts an image, that is profitable for nothing?
11 Behold, all who are of its fellowship shall be confounded. For the workmen themselves are men. Let them all be gathered together and stand up. They shall fear and be confounded together.
12 The blacksmith works in the coals with an instrument and fashions it with hammers. He works it with the strength of his arms. Indeed, he is hungry and his strength fails. He drinks no water, and is faint.
13 The carpenter stretches forth a line. He fashions it with a red cord. He planes it and he marks it out with the compass, and makes it in the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, so that it may remain in a house.
14 He will hew down cedars for himself and take the pine tree and the oak. He strengthens himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir tree, and the rain nourishes it.
15 And it shall be for man to burn. For he will take from it, and warm himself. He also kindles it and bakes bread. Also, he makes a god and worships it. He makes it an idol and bows to it.
16 He burns half of it in the fire, of that half he eats flesh. He roasts the roast and is satisfied. Also, he warms himself and says, “Aha, I am warm. I have been at the fire.”
17 And with the remains he makes a god, his idol. He bows to it, and worships and prays to it, and says, “Deliver me. For you are my god.”
18 They have not known or understood. For God has shut their eyes so that they cannot see, their heart so that they cannot understand.
19 And no one considers in his heart, nor is there knowledge or understanding to say, “I have burnt half of it in the fire and have also baked bread upon its coals. I have roasted its flesh and eaten it. And shall I make its remains an abomination? Shall I bow to the stock of a tree?”
20 He feeds on ashes. A seduced heart has deceived him, so that he cannot deliver his soul or say, “Is there not a lie in my right hand?”
21 “Remember these (O Jacob and Israel), for you are My servant. I have formed you. You are My servant. O Israel, do not forget Me.
22 “I have put away your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins as a mist. Turn to Me, for I have redeemed you.”
23 Rejoice, you heavens! For the LORD has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the Earth! Burst forth into praises, you mountains, O forest and every tree therein! For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and will be glorified in Israel!
24 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and He Who formed you from the womb: “I am the LORD Who made all things, Who spread out the heavens alone, and stretched out the Earth by Myself.
25 “I destroy the signs of the soothsayers, and make fools of those who boast, and turn the wise men backward and make their knowledge foolishness.”
26 He confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers, saying to Jerusalem, “You shall be inhabited!” And to the cities of Judah, “You shall be built up! And I will repair its decayed places.”
27 He says to the deep, “Be dry!” and, “I will dry up your rivers!”
28 He says to Cyrus, “You are My shepherd,” and, “He shall perform all My desire,” saying also to Jerusalem, “You shall be built,” and to the Temple, “Your foundation shall surely be laid.”
14 Then I looked. And lo, a Lamb stood on mount Zion; and with him 144,000, having his Father’s Name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from Heaven, as the sound of many waters, and as the sound of a great thunder. And I heard the voice of harpists, harping with their harps.
3 And they sang (as it were) a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts and the elders. And no one could learn that song except the 144,000 who were bought from the Earth.
4 These are those who are not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These are bought from man, being the firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouths was found no deceit. For they are without spot before the throne of God.
6 Then I saw another angel fly in the midst of Heaven - having an everlasting Gospel to preach to those who dwell on the Earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people -
7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God! And give glory to Him! For the hour of His judgment has come! And worship Him who made Heaven and Earth and the sea and the fountains of waters!”
8 And there followed another angel, saying, “Babylon, that great city is fallen! It is fallen! For she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication!”
9 And a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worship the beast and his image - and receives his mark on his forehead, or on his hand -
10 the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God; indeed, of the pure wine which is poured into the cup of His wrath! And he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy angels, and before the Lamb!
11 “And the smoke of their torment shall ascend evermore! And they shall have no rest, day nor night, who worship the beast and his name!”
12 Here is the patience of saints. Here are those who keep the Commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 Then I heard a voice from Heaven, saying to me, “Write: ‘The dead who die in the Lord are fully blessed.’” “Even so,” says the Spirit, “for they rest from their labors and their works still follow them.”
14 And I looked. And there was a white cloud. And upon the cloud, One sitting Who looks like the Son of Man; having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the Temple, crying with a loud voice to Him Who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in your sickle and reap! For the time has come to reap! For the harvest of the Earth is ripe!”
16 And He Who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the Earth. And the Earth was reaped.
17 Then another angel came out of the Temple, which is in Heaven, having also a sharp sickle.
18 And another angel came out from the altar - who had power over fire - and cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, and said, “Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vineyard of the Earth! For her grapes are ripe!”
19 And the angel thrust in his sharp sickle on the Earth, and cut down the vines of the vineyard of the Earth and cast them into that great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trampled outside the City. And blood flowed out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for the space of 1600 furlongs.
