M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
10 “At the same time, the LORD said to me, ‘Hew for yourself two tablets of stone, just like the first, and come up to Me onto the mount. And make yourself an ark of wood.
2 ‘And I will write upon the tablets the words that were upon the first Tablets, which you broke. And you shall put them in the ark.
3 “And I made an ark out of shittim wood and hewed two tablets of stone, just like the first, and went up onto the mountain. And the two tablets were in my hand.
4 “Then He wrote upon the Tablets, according to the first writing (the Ten Commandments, which the LORD spoke to you on the mount, out of the midst of the fire, on the day of the assembly). And the LORD gave them to me.
5 “And I departed and came down from the mount and put the Tablets in the Ark, which I had made. And there they are, as the LORD Commanded me.
6 “And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth (of the children of Jaakan) to Moserah, where Aaron died and was buried. And Eleazar, his son, became Priest in his place.
7 “From there they departed to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of running waters.
8 “At the same time, the LORD separated the tribe of Levi to bear the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD, to minister to Him, and to bless in His Name, to this day.
9 “Therefore, Levi does not have the same inheritance as his brothers. The LORD is his inheritance, as the LORD your God has promised him.
10 “And I stayed on the mount, as at the first time, for forty days and forty nights. And the LORD also heard me at that time. The LORD would not destroy you.
11 “But the LORD said to me, ‘Arise. Go forth in the journey, before the people, so that they may go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers, to give to them.
12 “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you but to fear the LORD your God—to walk in all His ways and to love Him and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul—
13 “so that you keep the Commandments of the LORD and His Ordinances, which I command you this day, for your good?
14 “Behold, Heaven—the Heaven of heavens—and the Earth, with all that therein is, are the LORD your God’s,
15 “Notwithstanding, the LORD set His delight in your fathers, to love them. And He chose their seed after them, you above all people, as it is this day.
16 “Therefore, circumcise the foreskin of your heart. And harden your necks no more.
17 “For the LORD your God is God of gods and LORD of Lords—a great God, mighty and terrible—Who accepts no persons, nor takes bribes,
18 “Who does right to the fatherless and widow and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing.
19 “Therefore, love the stranger. For you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
20 “You shall fear the LORD your God. You shall serve Him. And you shall cling to Him and shall swear by His Name.
21 “He is your praise. And He is your God, Who has done for you these great and terrible things, which your eyes have seen.
22 “Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy people. And now the LORD your God has made you as the stars of the heaven in multitude.”
94 O LORD God, the Avenger! O God, the Avenger, show Yourself clearly!
2 Exalt Yourself, O Judge of the World, and render a reward to the proud.
3 LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 They babble on and speak fiercely. All the workers of iniquity boast of themselves.
5 They strike down Your people, O LORD, and trouble Your heritage.
6 They slay the widow and the stranger and murder the fatherless.
7 Yet they say, “The LORD shall not see; nor will the God of Jacob regard it.”
8 Understand, you unwise among the people and you fools. When will you be wise?
9 He Who planted the ear, shall He not hear? Or, He Who formed the eye, shall He not see?
10 Or, He Who chastises the nations, shall He not correct? He Who teaches man knowledge, shall He not know?
11 The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
12 Blessed is the man whom You chastise, O LORD, and teach in Your Law,
13 so that You may give him rest from the days of evil while the pit is dug for the wicked.
14 Surely, the LORD will neither fail His people nor forsake His inheritance.
15 For judgment shall return to justice; and all the upright in heart shall follow after it.
16 Who will rise up with me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 If the LORD had not helped me, my soul would have almost dwelt in silence.
18 When I say, “My foot slides.” Your mercy, O LORD, upholds me.
19 In the multitude of my thoughts, in my heart, Your comforts have rejoiced my soul.
20 Does the throne of iniquity, which forges wrong for a law, have fellowship with You?
21 They gather together against the soul of the righteous and condemn the innocent blood.
22 But the LORD is my refuge; and my God is the Rock of my hope.
23 And He will recompense their wickedness and destroy them in their own malice. The LORD our God shall destroy them.
38 About that time Hezekiah was sick and near death. And the Prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz, came to him and said to him, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Put your house in order. For you shall die and not live.’”
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
3 and said, “I beg you, LORD, remember now how I have walked before You in truth, and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4 Then came the Word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,
5 “Go and say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the LORD God of David, your father: “I have heard your prayer, and seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your days.
6 “And I will deliver you out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and this city. For I will defend this city.
7 “And you shall have this sign from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that He has spoken:
8 “Behold, I will bring back the shadow of the sundial (by which it has gone down on the sundial of Ahaz, with the Sun) ten degrees backward.”’” So, the Sun reversed by ten degrees on the sundial of which it had gone down.
9 The writing of Hezekiah, King of Judah, when he had been sick and was recovered from his sickness:
10 “I said at the cessation of my days, ‘I shall go to the gates of the grave. I am deprived of the residue of my years.’
11 “I said, ‘I shall not see the LORD, the LORD in the land of the living. I shall not see man anymore among the inhabitants of the world.
12 ‘My habitation has departed, and is removed from me, like a shepherd’s tent. I have rolled up my life, like a weaver. He will cut me off from the loom. From day to night You will make an end of me.
13 ‘I reckoned until the morning, but He broke all my bones like a lion. From day to night will You make an end of me.
14 ‘Like a crane, a swallow, so I chattered. I mourned as a dove. My eyes were lifted up on high. O LORD, it has oppressed me. Comfort me.
15 ‘What shall I say? For He has said it to me, and He has done it. I shall walk weakly in the bitterness of my soul all my years.
16 ‘O LORD, by these things You sustain life. And in these things is the life of my spirit, by which You cause me to dream and give me life.
17 ‘Behold, for peace I had bitter grief. But it was Your pleasure to deliver my soul from the pit of corruption. For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
18 ‘For the grave cannot confess You. Death cannot praise You. Those who go down into the pit cannot hope for Your truth.
19 ‘But the living, the living, he shall confess You, as I do this day. The father shall declare Your truth to the children.
20 ‘The LORD saves me. Therefore, we will sing my song all the days of our life in the House of the LORD.’”
21 Then Isaiah said, “Take a lump of dry figs and lay it upon the boil. And he shall recover.”
22 Also, Hezekiah had said, “What is the sign that I shall go up into the House of the LORD?”
8 And when He had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels who stood before God. And to them were given seven trumpets.
3 Then another angel came and stood before the altar, having a golden censer. And much incense was given to him; which he would offer, with the prayers of all saints, upon the golden altar which is before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.
5 And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and cast it into the Earth. And there were voices and thunderings and lightnings and an earthquake.
6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to blow the trumpets.
7 So, the first angel blew the trumpet. And there was hail and fire, mingled with blood. And they were cast into the Earth. And a third of the trees was burnt. And all green grass was burnt.
8 And the second angel blew the trumpet. And (as it were) a great mountain, burning with fire, was cast into the sea. And a third of the sea became blood.
9 And a third of the creatures which were in the sea (and had life) died. And a third of the ships were destroyed.
10 Then the third angel blew the trumpet. And there fell a great star from Heaven, burning like a torch. And it fell into a third of the rivers, and into the fountains of waters.
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood. Therefore, a third of the waters became wormwood. And many men died of the waters because they were made bitter.
12 And the fourth angel blew the trumpet. And a third of the Sun was struck, and a third of the Moon, and a third of the stars; so that a third of them was darkened. And the day was struck, so that a third of it could not shine; and likewise the night.
13 And I looked, and heard one angel flying through the midst of Heaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the Earth because of the sounds to come of the trumpet of the three angels who are yet to blow the trumpets!”
