M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
34 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Command the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘When you come into the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to your inheritance: the land of Canaan with its coasts.
3 ‘And your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin to the borders of Edom. So that your south quarter shall be from the Salt Sea coast, eastward.
4 ‘And the border shall surround you from the south to Maaleh Akrabbim, and reach to Zin, and go out from the south to Kadesh Barnea. From there it shall stretch to Hazar Addar and go along to Azmon.
5 ‘And the border shall run from Azmon to the river of Egypt and shall go out to the sea.
6 ‘And your west quarter shall be the Great Sea. That border shall be your west coast.
7 ‘And this shall be your north quarter: you shall mark out your border from the Great Sea to Mount Hor.
8 ‘From Mount Hor you shall mark out till it comes to Hamath. And the end of the coast shall be at Zedad.
9 ‘And the coast shall reach out to Ziphron and go out at Hazar Enan. This shall be your north quarter.
10 ‘And you shall mark out your east quarter from Hazar Enan to Shepham.
11 ‘And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, and from the east side of Ain. And the same border shall descend and go out at the side of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward.
12 ‘Also, that border shall go down to Jordan and leave at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land, with its surrounding coasts.’”
13 Then Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, “This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which the LORD Commanded to give to nine tribes and the half-tribe.
14 “For the tribe of the children of Reuben (according to the households of their fathers) and the tribe of the children of Gad (according to their fathers’ households) and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance.
15 “Two tribes and a half-tribe have received their inheritance on this side of Jordan, toward Jericho, full east.”
16 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
17 “These are the names of the men who shall divide the land for you: Eleazar the Priest and Joshua, the son of Nun.
18 “And you shall also take a Prince from every tribe, to divide the land.
19 “Also, the names of the men are these: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;
20 “and from the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud;
21 “from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon;
22 “from the tribe of the sons of Dan, the Prince Bukki (the son of Jogli);
23 “from the sons of Joseph, of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, the Prince Hanniel (the son of Ephod);
24 “from the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, the Prince Kemuel (the son of Shiphtan);
25 “from the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, the Prince Elizaphan (the son of Parnach);
26 “from the tribe of the sons of Issachar, the Prince Paltiel (the son of Azzan);
27 “from the tribe of the sons of Asher, the Prince Ahihud (the son of Shelomi);
28 “and from the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, the Prince Pedahel (the son of Ammihud).”
29 These are those whom the LORD Commanded to divide the inheritance for the children of Israel, in the land of Canaan.
38 Yet, He, being merciful, forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them; but oftentimes called back His anger and did not stir up all His wrath.
39 For He remembered that they were flesh, a wind that passes and does not come again.
40 How often did they provoke Him in the wilderness, and grieve Him in the desert?
41 Indeed, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.
42 They remembered neither His hand nor the day when He delivered them from the enemy
43 nor Him Who set His signs in Egypt and His wonders in the field of Zoan.
44 Who turned their rivers into blood, and their floods, so that they could not drink.
45 He sent a swarm of flies among them which devoured them, and frogs which destroyed them.
46 He also gave their fruits to the caterpillar, and their labor to the grasshopper.
47 He destroyed their vines with hail, and their wild fig trees with the hailstone.
48 He also gave their cattle to the hail, and their flocks to the thunderbolts.
49 He cast upon them the fierceness of His anger, indignation and wrath, and troubled them by sending out evil angels.
50 He made a path for His anger. He did not spare their soul from death but gave their life to the pestilence.
51 He struck all the firstborn in Egypt, even the beginning of their strength, in the tabernacles of Ham.
52 But, He made His people go out like sheep and led them in the wilderness like a flock.
53 Indeed, He carried them out safely, and they did not fear; and the sea covered their enemies.
54 And He brought them to the borders of His Sanctuary, to this Mountain which His right hand purchased.
55 He also cast out the heathen before them and caused them to fall to the lot of His inheritance; and made the tribes of Israel dwell in their tabernacles.
56 Yet, they tempted and provoked the Most High God and did not keep His testimonies.
57 But they turned back and dealt falsely, like their fathers. They turned like a deceitful bow.
58 And they provoked Him to anger with their high places and moved Him to wrath with their graven images.
59 God heard this and was angry, and greatly abhorred Israel;
60 so that He abandoned the habitation of Shiloh, the Tabernacle where He dwelt among men,
61 and delivered His power into captivity, and His beauty into the enemy’s hand.
62 And He gave up His people to the sword and was angry with His inheritance.
63 The fire devoured their chosen men, and their maids were not praised.
64 Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows did not lament.
65 But the LORD awakened, as one out of sleep, as a strong man who cries out after wine,
66 and drove His enemies backwards and put them to a perpetual shame.
67 Yet, He refused the tabernacle of Joseph, and did not choose the tribe of Ephraim.
68 But He chose the tribe of Judah, and Mount Zion, which He loved.
69 And He built His Sanctuary as a high palace, like the Earth, which He established forever.
70 He also chose David, His servant, and took him from the sheepfolds.
71 Even from behind the ewes with young. He brought him to feed His people in Jacob, and His inheritance in Israel.
72 So, he fed them according to the simplicity of his heart and guided them by the discretion of his hands. A Psalm committed to Asaph
26 On that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city, God shall set salvation for walls and bulwarks.
2 “Open the gates so that the righteous nation, which keeps the truth, may enter in.
3 “By an assured purpose will You preserve perfect peace, because they trusted in You.
4 “Trust in the LORD forever, For in the LORD God is strength forevermore.
5 “For He will bring down those who dwell on high, The high city He will lay low, He will cast it down to the ground and bring it to dust.
6 “The foot shall tread it down, the feet of the poor, the steps of the needy.
7 “The way of the just is righteousness, You will make equal the righteous path of the just.
8 “Also, we, O LORD, have waited for You in the way of Your judgments. The desire of our soul is to Your Name and to the remembrance of You.
9 “With my soul have I desired You in the night. And with my spirit within me will I seek You in the morning. For seeing Your judgments on the Earth, the inhabitants of the world shall learn righteousness.
10 “Let mercy be shown to the wicked, he will not learn righteousness. In the land of uprightness, he will do wickedly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
11 “O LORD, they will not behold Your high Hand. They shall see it and be confounded with the zeal of the people. And the fire of Your enemies shall devour them.
12 “LORD, to us You will ordain peace. For You also have wrought all our works for us.
13 “O LORD our God, lords besides You have ruled us. We will remember You only, Your Name.
14 “The dead shall not live, nor shall the dead arise, because You have visited and scattered them, and destroyed all their memory.
15 “You have increased the nation, O LORD. You have increased the nation. You are made glorious, You have enlarged all the territories of the Earth.
16 “LORD, in trouble have they visited You. They poured out a prayer when Your chastening was upon them.
17 “Like a woman with child who draws near to the birth is in sorrow and cries in her pains, so have we been in Your sight, O LORD.
18 “We have conceived, we have born in pain, as though we should have brought forth wind. There was no help on the Earth, nor did the inhabitants of the world fall.
19 “Your dead men shall live, with my body shall they rise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust. For your dew is as the dew of herbs, and the Earth shall cast out the dead.
20 “Come, my people, enter into your chambers and shut your doors after you. Hide yourself for a very little while, until the indignation passes over.
21 “For lo, the LORD comes out of His place, to visit the iniquity of the inhabitants of the Earth upon them. And the Earth shall disclose her blood, and shall hide her slain no more.”
4 Dearly beloved, do not believe every spirit. But test the spirits to see if they are of God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 By this you shall know the Spirit of God: Every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God.
3 And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, is not of God. But this is the spirit of Antichrist, of whom you have heard; how that he would come and is now already in this world.
4 Little children, you are of God; and have overcome them! For greater is He Who is in you than he who is in this world.
5 They are of this world. Therefore, they speak of this world. And this world hears them.
6 We are of God. The one who knows God hears us. The one who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another. For love comes from God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
8 The one who does not love does not know God. For God is love.
9 In this was that love of God revealed amongst us: because God sent His only begotten Son into this world, so that we might live through Him.
10 In this is that love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a reconciliation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us. And His love is perfected in us.
13 By this we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us: because He has given us of His Spirit.
14 And we have seen (and do testify) that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God - God dwells in him and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God has in us. God is love. And the one who dwells in love, dwells in God, and God in him.
17 In this is that love perfected in us: that we should have boldness on the Day of Judgment. For as He is, even so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love casts out fear. For fear has painfulness. And the one who fears has not been perfected in love.
19 We love Him because He loved us first.
20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For how can one who does not love his brother - whom he has seen - love God, Whom he has not seen?
21 And this Commandment we have from Him: that the one who loves God should love his brother also.
