M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
33 These are the journeys of the children of Israel who went out of the land of Egypt according to their bands, under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
2 And Moses wrote down the starting points of their journeys, according to the Commandment of the LORD. So, these are the journeys, according to their starting points.
3 Now they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the day after the Passover. The children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
4 For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had stricken among them. Upon their gods, also, the LORD executed judgment.
5 And the children of Israel left Rameses and camped in Succoth.
6 And they departed from Succoth and camped in Etham, which is at the edge of the wilderness.
7 And they departed from Etham and turned again to Pi Hahiroth, which is before Baal Zephon, and pitched before Migdol.
8 And they departed from before Hahiroth and went through the midst of the sea, into the wilderness, and went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham and pitched in Marah.
9 And they departed from Marah and came to Elim. And in Elim were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees. And they camped there.
10 And they moved from Elim and camped by the Red Sea.
11 And they moved from the Red Sea and lay in the wilderness of Sin.
12 And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin and set up their tents in Dophkah.
13 And they departed from Dophkah and lay in Alush.
14 And they moved from Alush and lay in Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.
15 And they departed from Rephidim and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.
16 And they moved from the desert of Sinai and camped in Kibroth Hattaavah.
17 And they departed from Kibroth Hattaavah and lay at Hazeroth.
18 And they departed from Hazeroth and camped in Rithmah.
19 And they departed from Rithmah and camped at Rimmon Perez.
20 And they departed from Rimmon Perez and camped in Libnah.
21 And they moved from Libnah and camped in Rissah.
22 And they journeyed from Rissah and camped in Kehelathah.
23 And they went from Kehelathah and camped in Mount Shepher.
24 And they moved from Mount Shepher and lay in Haradah.
25 And they moved from Haradah and camped in Makheloth.
26 And they moved from Makheloth and lay in Tahath.
27 And they departed from Tahath and camped in Terah.
28 And they moved from Terah and camped in Mithkah.
29 And they went from Mithkah and camped in Hashmonah.
30 And they departed from Hashmonah and lay in Moseroth.
31 And they departed from Moseroth and camped in Bene Jaakan.
32 And they moved from Bene Jaakan and lay in Hor Hagidgad.
33 And they went from Hor Hagidgad and camped in Jotbathah.
34 And they moved from Jotbathah and lay in Abronah.
35 And they departed from Abronah and lay in Ezion Geber.
36 And they moved from Ezion Geber and camped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.
37 And they moved from Kadesh and camped on Mount Hor, on the edge of the land of Edom.
38 And Aaron the Priest went up onto Mount Hor, at the Commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.
39 And Aaron was a hundred twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 And King Arad the Canaanite, who dwelt in the south of the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.
41 And they departed from Mount Hor and camped in Zalmonah.
42 And they departed from Zalmonah and camped in Punon.
43 And they departed from Punon and camped in Oboth.
44 And they departed from Oboth and camped in Ije Abarim, on the borders of Moab.
45 And they departed from Ijim and camped in Dibon Gad.
46 And they moved from Dibon Gad and lay in Almon Diblathaim.
47 And they moved from Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
48 And they departed from the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plain of Moab by Jordan, toward Jericho.
49 And they camped by Jordan, from Beth Jesimoth to Abel Shittim, on the plain of Moab.
50 And the LORD spoke to Moses on the plain of Moab, by Jordan, toward Jericho, saying,
51 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘When you have come over Jordan, to enter into the land of Canaan,
52 ‘you shall then drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you and destroy all their idols, and break apart all their images of metal, and tear down all their high places.
53 ‘And you shall possess the land and dwell in it, for I have given you the land to possess it.
54 ‘And you shall inherit the land by lot, according to your families. To the more you shall give more inheritance, and to the fewer the less inheritance. Where the lot shall fall to any man, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.
55 ‘But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, then those which you let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land where you dwell.
56 ‘Moreover, it shall happen that I shall do to you as I thought to do to them.’”
78 Hear my doctrine, O my people. Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth in a parable. I will declare high sentences of old
3 which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
4 We will not hide them from their children; but to the generation to come we will show the praise of the LORD, His power also, and His wonderful works that He has done.
5 How He established a testimony in Jacob and ordained a Law in Israel. Which He commanded our fathers that they should teach their children,
6 so that the posterity might know it and the children which should be born should stand up and declare it to their children.
7 So that they might set their hope on God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His Commandments.
8 So that they not be as their fathers (a disobedient and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set their heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God).
9 The children of Ephraim, being armed and shooting with the bow, turned back on the day of battle.
10 They did not keep the Covenant of God, but refused to walk in His Law,
11 and forgot His acts and His wonderful works that He had shown them.
12 He did marvelous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt (in the field of Zoan).
13 He divided the sea and led them through. He also made the waters to stand as a heap.
14 Also, in the daytime, He led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.
15 He split the rocks in the wilderness and gave them drink, as with the great depths.
16 He also brought floods out of the stony rock, making the waters descend like the rivers.
17 But, they still sinned against Him and provoked the Highest in the wilderness
18 and tempted God in their hearts, requiring food for their lust.
19 They also spoke against God, saying, “Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?
20 “Behold, He struck the rock so that the water gushed out and the streams overflowed. Can He also give bread, or prepare flesh for His people?”
21 Therefore, the LORD heard and was angry, and the fire was kindled in Jacob; and wrath also came upon Israel
22 because they did not believe in God and did not trust in His help.
23 Still, He had commanded the clouds above, and had opened the doors of Heaven,
24 and had rained down manna upon them to eat and had given them of the wheat of Heaven.
25 Man ate the bread of angels. He sent them food enough.
26 He caused the east wind to pass in the sky; and through His power He brought in the south wind.
27 He also rained flesh upon them as dust, and feathered fowl as the sand of the sea.
28 And He made it fall in the midst of their camp, all around their habitations.
29 So they ate and were well-filled; for He gave them their desire.
30 They were not turned from their lusts. The food was still in their mouths
31 when the wrath of God came upon them and slew the strongest of them and struck down the chosen men of Israel.
32 In spite of all this, they still sinned and did not believe His wondrous works.
33 Therefore, He ended their days in futility, and their years in dismay.
34 And when He slew them, they sought Him; and they returned and sought God earnestly.
35 And they remembered that God was their strength, and the Most High God their Redeemer.
36 But they flattered Him with their mouth and lied to Him with their tongue.
37 For their heart was not upright with Him; nor were they faithful in His Covenant.
25 O LORD, You are my God! I will exalt You. I will praise Your Name. For You have done wonderful things, ancient counsel, with firm faithfulness!
2 For You have made a heap of a city, a ruin of a strong city, a fortress of strangers to be no city. It shall never be built.
3 Therefore, the mighty people shall give glory to You. The city of the strong nations shall fear You.
4 For You have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his trouble, a refuge from the storm, a shade in the heat. For the blast of the mighty is like a hard rain against the wall.
5 You shall bring down the noise of the strangers, as the heat in a dry place. He will bring down the song of the mighty, as the heat with the shade of a cloud.
6 And on this mountain shall the LORD of Hosts make a feast of fat things for all people, a feast of refined wines, of fat things full of marrow, of refined and purified wines.
7 And on this mountain, He will destroy the covering that covers all people, and the veil that is spread upon all nations.
8 He will destroy death forever. And the LORD God will wipe away the tears from all faces. And He will take away the rebuke of His people out of all the Earth. For the LORD has spoken it.
9 And on that day men shall say, “Lo, this is our God! We have waited for Him, and He will save us! This is the LORD! We have waited for Him! We will rejoice and be joyful in salvation!”
10 For on this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest. And Moab shall be threshed under Him, as straw is threshed in Madmenah.
11 And He shall stretch out His hand in the midst of them, as he who swims stretches out to swim. And with the strength of His hands He shall bring down their pride.
12 Also, He shall bring down the defense of the height of your walls and lay them low, cast them to the ground, into the dust.
3 Behold, what love the Father has given to us, that we should be called the sons of God! For this reason, this world does not know you: because it does not know Him.
2 Dearly beloved, we are now the sons of God. But what we shall be is yet to be revealed. And we know that when He shall be revealed, we shall be like Him. For we shall see Him as He is.
3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purges himself, just as He is pure.
4 Whoever commits sin, also transgresses the Law. For sin is the transgression of the Law.
5 And you know that He was revealed so that He might take away our sins. And no sin is in Him.
6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous (as He is righteous).
8 Whoever commits sin is of the devil. For the devil sins from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: that He might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whoever is born of God does not sin. For His seed remains in him. Nor can he sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this are the children of God and the children of the devil known. Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.
11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning: that we should love one another;
12 not as Cain, who was of the wicked one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because his own works were evil and his brother’s good.
13 Do not marvel, my brothers, though this world hates you.
14 We know that we have passed over from death to life because we love the brothers. The one who does not love his brother remains in death.
15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer. And you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
16 By this we have perceived love: that He laid down His life for us. Therefore, we also ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
17 And whoever has this world’s goods and sees his brother has need and shuts up his compassion from him, how does the love of God dwell in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue only, but in deed and in truth.
19 For by this we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before Him.
20 For if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our heart and knows all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, then we have boldness toward God.
22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His Commandments and do those things which are pleasing in His sight.
23 This, then, is His Commandment: that we believe in the Name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another as He commanded.
24 For the one who keeps His Commandments dwells in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us: by that Spirit which He has given us.
