Leviticus 22

22 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

“Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, so that they are separated from the Holy things of the children of Israel, and so that they do not pollute My Holy Name in those things which they hallow to Me. I am the LORD.

“Say to them, ‘Whoever of all your seed, among your generations after you, who touches the Holy things which the children of Israel hallow to the LORD—having his uncleanness upon him—that person shall be cut off from My sight. I am the LORD.

‘Also, whoever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or has a discharge, he shall not eat of the Holy things until he is clean. And whoever touches anyone who is unclean by reason of the dead, or a man whose issue of seed runs from him,

‘or the man who touches any creeping thing by which he may be made unclean, or a man by whom he may take uncleanness (whatever uncleanness he has),

‘the person who has touched such ones shall therefore be unclean until the evening and shall not eat of the Holy things unless he has washed his flesh with water.

‘But when the Sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall eat of the Holy things afterward. For it is his food.

‘Of a beast that dies naturally, or is torn by other beasts (by which he may be defiled), he shall not eat. I am the LORD.

‘Let them therefore keep My Ordinance, lest if they defile it, they bear their sin for it and die for it. I, the LORD, sanctify them.

10 ‘Also, no stranger shall eat of the Holy thing, nor the guest of the Priest. Nor shall a hired servant eat of the Holy thing.

11 ‘But, if the Priest buys any with money, he shall eat of it. Also, he who is born in his house shall eat of his food.

12 ‘Also, if the Priest’s daughter is married to a stranger, she may not eat of the Holy offerings.

13 ‘Nevertheless, if the Priest’s daughter is a widow or divorced, and has no child, but has returned to her father’s house, she shall eat of her father’s bread, as she did in her youth. But no stranger shall eat thereof.

14 ‘If a man eats of the Holy thing unwittingly, he shall add a fifth to it and give it to the Priest with the hallowed thing.

15 ‘So shall they not defile the Holy things of the children of Israel which they offer to the LORD,

16 ‘nor cause the people to bear the iniquity of their trespass while they eat their Holy thing. For I, the LORD, hallow them.’”

17 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

18 “Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘Whoever of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, who will offer his sacrifice for all their vows and for all their Free Offerings which they use to offer to the LORD for a Burnt Offering,

19 ‘you shall offer of your own free will a male, without blemish, of the cattle, of the sheep, or of the goats.

20 ‘You shall not offer anything that has a blemish. For that shall not be acceptable for you.

21 ‘And whoever brings a Peace Offering to the LORD to accomplish his vow, or for a Free Offering from the cattle, or from the sheep, his free offering shall be perfect. No blemish shall be in it.

22 ‘Blind or broken or maimed or having an ulcer, or scurvy, or scabs: these shall not be offered to the LORD. Do not make an offering by fire of these upon the Altar of the LORD.

23 ‘However, you may present a bullock or a sheep that is either malformed or lacking for a Free Offering. But it shall not be accepted for a vow.

24 ‘You shall not offer to the LORD that which is bruised or crushed or broken or cut away. Nor shall you make an offering of it in your land.

25 ‘Nor shall you offer any of these as the bread of your God from the hand of a stranger, because their corruption is in them. There is a blemish in them. They shall not be accepted for you.’”

26 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

27 “When a bullock or a sheep or a goat shall be brought forth, it shall remain for seven days with its mother. And from the eighth day forth it shall be accepted for a sacrifice made by fire to the LORD.

28 “As for the cow or the ewe, you shall not kill her and her young in one day.

29 “So, when you will offer a Thank Offering to the LORD, you shall offer willingly.

30 “The same day it shall be eaten. You shall leave none of it to tomorrow. I am the LORD.

31 “Therefore, you shall keep My Commandments and do them. I am the LORD.

32 “Nor shall you pollute My Holy Name. But I will be hallowed among the children of Israel. I, the LORD, sanctify you,

33 “Who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. I am the LORD.”

Psalm 28-29

28 To You, O LORD, do I cry. O my strength, do not be deaf toward me; lest if You do not answer me, I be like those who go down into the pit.

Hear the voice of my petitions when I cry to You, when I hold up my hands toward Your Holy Oracle.

Do not draw me away with the wicked and with the workers of iniquity, who speak friendly to their neighbors when malice is in their hearts.

Reward them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their inventions. Recompense them for the work of their hands. Render them their reward.

For they do not reward the works of the LORD, nor the operation of His hands. Break them down and do not build them up.

Praised be the LORD, for He has heard the voice of my petitions.

The LORD is my strength and my shield. My heart trusted in Him, and I was helped. Therefore, my heart shall rejoice; and with my song I will praise Him.

The LORD is their strength; and He is the strength of the deliverances of His anointed.

Save Your people and bless Your inheritance. Feed them, also, and exalt them forever. A Psalm of David.

29 Give to the LORD, you sons of the Mighty. Give to the LORD glory and strength.

Give to the LORD glory due His Name. Worship the LORD in the glorious Sanctuary.

The voice of the LORD is upon the waters. The God of Glory makes it thunder. The LORD is upon the great waters.

The voice of the LORD is mighty. The voice of the LORD is glorious.

The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars. Indeed, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.

He also makes them leap like a calf, Lebanon and Shirion like a young unicorn.

The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire.

The voice of the LORD makes the wilderness tremble. The LORD makes the wilderness of Kadesh tremble.

The voice of the LORD makes the hinds calve and discovers the forests. In His Temple, every man speaks of His Glory.

10 The LORD sits upon the floods; and the LORD remains King forever.

11 The LORD shall give strength to His people. The LORD shall bless His people with peace. A Psalm or song of the dedication of the House of David.

Ecclesiastes 5

Do not be rash with your mouth, or let your heart be hasty to utter a thing before God. For God is in Heaven and you are on the Earth. Therefore, let your words be few.

For as a dream comes by the multitude of business, so the voice of a fool is in the multitude of words.

When you have vowed a vow to God, do not delay in paying it. For He does not delight in fools. Pay what you have promised.

It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay it.

Do not allow your mouth to make your flesh sin, nor say before the Angel that this is ignorance. Why should God be angry at your voice and destroy the work of your hands?

For in the multitude of dreams and vanities are also many words. But fear God.

If in a country you see the oppression of the poor and the defrauding of judgment and justice, do not be astonished at the matter. For He who is higher than the highest watches. And there is higher than they.

And the abundance of the Earth is for all. The king also subsists on the field that is tilled.

He who loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver. And he who loves riches shall be without its fruit. This is also vanity.

10 When goods increase, those who consume them are increased. And what good comes to their owners, but the beholding with their eyes?

11 The sleep of him who travails is sweet, whether he eats little or much. But the satiety of the rich will not allow him to sleep.

12 There is an evil sickness that I have seen under the Sun: riches reserved to their owners for their evil.

13 And these riches perish by evil travail. And when he begets a son, there is nothing in his hand.

14 As he came forth from his mother’s belly, he shall return, naked, to go as he came, and shall carry away nothing from his labor which he has caused to pass by his hand.

15 And this also is an evil sickness: in all points, as he came so shall he go. And what profit does he have who has labored for the wind?

16 Also, all his days he eats in darkness with much grief, and in his sorrow and anger.

17 Behold, then, what I have seen as good: that it is comely to eat and to drink and to take pleasure in all his labor in which he labors under the Sun, the whole number of the days of his life which God gives him. For this is his portion.

18 Also, to every man to whom God has given riches and treasures, to whom He gives power to eat of it, and to take his part, and to enjoy his labor — these are the gifts of God.

19 Surely, he will not well remember the days of his life, because God answers to the joy of his heart.

2 Timothy 1

Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

To Timothy, my beloved son: Grace, mercy and peace, from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ our Lord.

I thank God, Whom I serve with pure conscience (as my forefathers did), remembering you in my prayers night and day, without ceasing;

desiring to see you, mindful of your tears, so that I may be filled with joy

when I call to remembrance the sincere faith that is in you (which dwelt first in your grandmother, Lois, and in your mother, Eunice, and assuredly dwells in you also).

Therefore, I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you by the laying on of my hands.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of self-control.

Therefore, do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me (His prisoner). But share in the afflictions of the Gospel according to the power of God.

He has saved us and called us with a holy calling - not according to our works - but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us through Christ Jesus before the world was;

10 but is now revealed by the appearing of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Who has abolished death and has brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel,

11 for which I am appointed a preacher and Apostle and a teacher of the Gentiles.

12 For this reason I also suffer these things. But I am not ashamed. For I know Whom I have believed. And I am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until that Day.

13 Keep the true pattern of the wholesome words which you have heard from me in faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

14 Keep that worthy thing which was committed to you through the Holy Ghost, Who dwells in us.

15 This you know: that all those who are in Asia have turned from me. Of which are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

16 May the Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus. For he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chain.

17 But when he was at Rome, he sought me out very diligently and found me.

18 The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy with the Lord on that Day. And you know very well in how many things he has ministered to me at Ephesus.
