M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
19 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to all the Congregation of the children of Israel and say to them, ‘You shall be holy. For I, the LORD your God, am Holy.
3 ‘Every man shall fear his mother and his father and shall keep My Sabbath. I am the LORD your God.
4 ‘You shall not turn to idols, nor make molten gods. I am the LORD your God.
5 ‘And when you shall offer a Peace Offering to the LORD, you shall offer it freely.
6 ‘It shall be eaten the day you offer it, or the next day. And that which remains until the third day shall be burnt in the fire.
7 ‘For if it is eaten on the third day, it shall be unclean. It shall not be accepted.
8 ‘Therefore, he who eats it shall bear his iniquity. Because he has defiled the hallowed thing of the LORD. And that person shall be cut off from his people.
9 ‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap every corner of your field. Nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
10 ‘You shall not gather the grapes of your vineyard, nor gather every grape of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger. I am the LORD your God.
11 ‘You shall neither steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.
12 ‘Also, you shall not swear by My Name falsely. Nor shall you defile the Name of your God. I am the LORD.
13 ‘You shall neither wrong nor rob your neighbor. The workman’s wages shall not remain with you until the morning.
14 You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but shall fear your God. I am the LORD.
15 ‘You shall not do unjustly in judgment. You shall neither favor the person of the poor nor honor the person of the mighty. You shall judge your neighbor justly.
16 ‘You shall not walk about with tales among your people. You shall not stand against the life of your neighbor. I am the LORD.
17 ‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall plainly rebuke your neighbor, and not allow him to sin.
18 ‘You shall neither avenge nor be mindful against the children of your people, but shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
19 ‘You shall keep My Ordinances. You shall not let your cattle breed with diverse kinds. You shall not sow your field with mixed seed. Nor shall a garment of diverse things, of linen or wool, come upon you.
20 ‘Also, whoever lies carnally with a woman who is a bondmaid, engaged to a husband, and not redeemed, nor freedom given her, she shall be scourged. They shall not die because she is not made free.
21 ‘And he shall bring for his Trespass Offering to the LORD—at the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation—a ram for a Trespass Offering.
22 ‘Then, the Priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD with the ram of the Trespass Offering, concerning his sin which he has done. And pardon shall be given to him for his sin which he has committed.
23 ‘Also, when you shall come into the land, and have planted every tree for food, you shall count its fruit as uncircumcised. Three years it shall be uncircumcised to you. It shall not be eaten.
24 ‘But in the fourth year, all its fruit shall be holy to the praise of the LORD.
25 ‘And the fifth year, you shall eat of its fruit, so that it may yield its increase to you. I am the LORD your God.
26 ‘You shall not eat flesh with the blood. You shall not practice witchcraft or soothsaying.
27 ‘You shall not shave around the sides of your heads. Nor shall you mar the tufts of your beard.
28 ‘You shall not cut your flesh for the dead, nor make any print of a mark upon you. I am the LORD.
29 ‘You shall not make your daughter common, to cause her to be a whore, lest the land also falls to whoredom, and the land is full of wickedness.
30 ‘You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My Sanctuary. I am the LORD.
31 ‘You shall not regard those who work with spirits, or soothsayers. You shall not seek them, to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.
32 ‘You shall stand up before the gray-headed and honor the person of the elderly and revere your God. I am the LORD.
33 ‘And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him.
34 ‘The stranger who dwells with you shall be as one of yourselves. And you shall love him as yourself. For you were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
35 ‘You shall do no injustice in judgment (in length, weight or in measure).
36 ‘You shall have just balances, true weights, a true ephah, and a true hin. I am the LORD your God, Who has brought you out of the land of Egypt.
37 ‘Therefore, you shall observe all My Ordinances, and all My Judgments, and do them. I am the LORD.’”
23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to rest in green pasture and leads me by the still waters.
3 He restores my soul and leads me in the paths of righteousness, for His Name’s sake.
4 Indeed, though I should walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the sight of my adversaries. You anoint my head with oil; and my cup runs over.
6 Doubtless, kindness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I shall remain in the House of the LORD forever. A Psalm of David.
24 The Earth is the LORD’s and all that therein is, the world and those who dwell therein.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the Mountain of the LORD? And who shall stand in His Holy Place?
4 He who has innocent hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his mind to vanity nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of those who seek Him, of those who seek Your face. This is Jacob. Selah.
7 Lift up your heads, you gates. And be lifted up, you everlasting doors. And the King of Glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of Glory: The LORD, strong and mighty. The LORD, mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, you gates. And lift up yourselves, you everlasting doors. And the King of Glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of Glory: The LORD of Hosts. He is the King of Glory. Selah. A Psalm of David.
2 I said in my heart, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure. Therefore, enjoy yourself.” And behold, this also is vanity.
2 I said of laughter, “It is madness,” and of joy, “What does it accomplish?”
3 I sought in my heart to give myself to wine while leading my heart in wisdom, and to take hold of folly until I might see what goodness there is for the children of men to do under the heaven all the days of their life.
4 I have made my great works. I have built myself houses. I have planted vineyards.
5 I have made myself gardens and orchards and planted all fruit trees in them.
6 I have made myself cisterns of water with which to water the woods that grow with trees.
7 I have gotten servants and maids and had children in the house. Also, I had a great possession of herds and flocks above all who were before me in Jerusalem.
8 I have also gathered to me silver and gold and the chief treasures of kings and provinces. I have provided myself men singers and women singers and the delights of the sons of men, a woman taken captive and women taken captives.
9 And I was great and increased above all who were before me in Jerusalem. My wisdom remained with me also.
10 And whatever my eyes desired I did not withhold from them. I did not withdraw my heart from any pleasure; for my heart rejoiced in all my labor. And this was my reward for all my labor.
11 Then I looked on all my works that my hands had wrought, and on the work that I had labored to do. And behold, all is vanity and grasping at the wind. And there is no profit under the Sun.
12 And I turned to behold wisdom and madness and folly. For what may the man who will come after the king do except that which men now have done?
13 Then I saw that there is more profit in wisdom than in folly, as the light is more excellent than darkness.
14 For the wise man’s eyes are in his head, but the fool walks in darkness. Yet I also know that the same condition befalls them all.
15 Then I thought in my heart, “What happens to me, happens to the fool. Therefore, why do I labor to be more wise?” And I said in my heart that this also is vanity.
16 For there shall be no remembrance of either the wise or the fool, forever. For in the days to come, what now is shall all be forgotten. And how does the wise man die? Just as the fool!
17 Therefore, I hated life. For the work that is wrought under the Sun is grievous to me. For all is vanity and grasping at the wind.
18 I also hated all my labor in which I had travailed under the Sun, which I shall leave to the man who shall come after me.
19 And who knows whether he shall be wise or foolish? Yet he shall have rule over all my labor in which I have travailed, and in which I have shown myself wise under the Sun. This is also vanity.
20 Therefore, I went about to make my heart abhor all the labor in which I had travailed under the Sun.
21 For there is a man whose travail is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in skill. Yet, he shall give his portion to a man who has not travailed in these. This also is vanity, and a great grief.
22 For what has man for all the labor and grief of his heart in which he has travailed under the Sun?
23 For all his days are sorrows, and his work grief. Also, his heart does not take rest in the night, which is also vanity.
24 There is nothing better for a man but that he eat and drink and delight his soul with the profit of his labor. This I saw, also, that it was of the Hand of God.
25 For who could eat and who could seek enjoyment more than I?
26 Surely to a man who is good in His sight, God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy. But to the sinner He gives pain to gather and to heap, to give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and grasping at the wind.
4 Now the Spirit clearly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith and shall consider spirits of error and doctrines of demons.
2 They speak lies through hypocrisy and have their consciences burned with a hot iron,
3 forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from foods which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good. And nothing ought to be refused, if it is received with thanksgiving.
5 For it is sanctified by the Word of God, and prayer.
6 If you put the brothers in remembrance of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, who has been nourished in the words of faith and good doctrine which you have continually followed.
7 But, reject worldly and old wives’ fables. And train yourself towards godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profits a little. But godliness is profitable towards all things, having the promise of this life and of that which is to come.
9 This is a true saying, and by all means worthy to be received.
10 For this we labor and are rebuked: because we trust in the living God, Who is the Savior of all mankind, especially those who believe.
11 Command and teach these things.
12 Let no one despise your youth. But be an example to those who believe - in word, in conversation, in love, in spirit, in faith and in pureness.
13 Until I come, pay attention to reading, to encouragement, and to doctrine.
14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
15 Attend to these things. Give yourself to them. So that your progress may be seen among all.
16 Pay attention to yourself, and to learning. Persist in it. For in so doing, you shall both save yourself and those who hear you.
