M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
13 Moreover, the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2 “The man that shall have a swelling or a scab in the skin of his flesh, or a white spot, so that it is like the plague of leprosy in the skin of his flesh. Then he shall be brought to Aaron the Priest, or to one of his sons the priests.
3 “And the priest shall look at the sore on the skin of his flesh. If the hair on the sore has turned white, and the sore is seen to be lower than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy. Therefore the priest shall look at him and pronounce him unclean.
4 “But if the white spot is on the skin of his flesh and seems not to be lower than the skin nor its hair turned white, then the priest shall shut up he who has the plague for seven days.
5 “Afterward, the priest shall examine him on the seventh day. And if the plague seems to abide in him still, and the plague has not grown on the skin, the priest shall isolate him for seven more days.
6 “Then the priest shall examine him again on the seventh day. And if the plague is dark, and the sore has not grown on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. It is a scab. Therefore, he shall wash his clothes and be clean.
7 “If the scab grows more on the skin after he has been seen by the priest to be purged, he shall be seen by the priest again.
8 “Then the priest shall look, and if the scab grows on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is leprosy.
9 “When the plague of leprosy is in a man, he shall be brought to the priest.
10 “And the priest shall see him. And if the swelling is white on the skin, and has made the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the swelling,
11 “it is an old leprosy on the skin of his flesh. And the priest shall pronounce him unclean, and shall not isolate him, for he is unclean.
12 “Also, if the leprosy breaks out on the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the plague, from his head to his feet, wherever the priest looks,
13 “then the priest shall look, and if the leprosy covers all his flesh, he shall pronounce the plague to be clean, because it is all turned into whiteness. So he shall be clean.
14 “But if there is raw flesh on him when he is seen, he shall be unclean.
15 “For the priest shall see the raw flesh and declare him to be unclean. The raw flesh is unclean. It is the leprosy.
16 “Or if the raw flesh changes and turns white, then he shall come to the priest
17 “and the priest shall examine him. And if the sore turns white, then the priest shall pronounce the plague clean, for it is clean.
18 “Also, the flesh in whose skin there is a boil, and is healed,
19 “and in the place of the boil there is a white swelling or a white spot, somewhat reddish, it shall be seen by the priest.
20 “And when the priest sees it, if it appears lower than the skin and its hair has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a plague of leprosy, broken out in the boil.
21 “But if the priest examines it and it has no white hairs (and if it is not lower than the skin, but is darker) then the priest shall isolate him for seven days.
22 “And if it spreads on the flesh, the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a sore.
23 “But if the spot stays in its place, and does not grow, it is a burning boil. Therefore, the priest shall declare him to be clean.
24 “If there is any flesh in whose skin there is a hot burning, and the raw flesh of the burning has a white spot (somewhat reddish or pale),
25 “then the priest shall examine it. And if the hair in that spot has turned white, and it appears lower than the skin, it is a leprosy broken out in the burning. Therefore, the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy.
26 “But if the priest examines it, and there is no white hair in the spot. And it is no lower than the skin, but has faded, then the priest shall isolate him for seven days.
27 “Afterward, the priest shall examine him on the seventh day. If it has spread on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy.
28 “And if the spot stays in one place, not growing on the skin, but has faded, it is a swelling from the burning. The priest shall therefore declare him clean, for it is the scar of the burning.
29 “Also, if a man or woman has a sore on the head or in the beard,
30 “then the priest shall examine the sore. And if it appears lower than the skin, and there is a small yellow hair in it, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a black spot, and leprosy of the head or of the beard.
31 “And if the priest examines the sore of the black spot, and if it does not seem lower than the skin, nor to have any black hair in it, then the priest shall isolate he who has the sore of the black spot for seven days.
32 “Afterward, on the seventh day, the priest shall examine the sore. And if the black spot has not grown, and there is no yellow hair in it, and the black spot does not seem lower than the skin,
33 “then he shall be shaven. But he shall not shave the black spot. Rather, the priest shall isolate him who has the black spot for seven more days.
34 “And the seventh day, the priest shall examine the black spot. And if the black spot has not grown on the skin and does not seem lower than the skin, then the priest shall cleanse him. And he shall wash his clothes and be clean.
35 “But if the black spot has grown throughout the flesh after his cleansing,
36 “then the priest shall examine it. And if the black spot has grown on the skin, the priest shall not look for the yellow hair. It is unclean.
37 “But if the black spot seems to him unchanged, and that black hair grows therein, the black spot is healed. He is clean. And the priest shall declare him to be clean.
38 “Furthermore, if there are any white spots on the skin of the flesh of man or woman,
39 “then the priest shall examine them. And if the spots on the skin of the flesh are dull white, it is but a white spot broken out on the skin. It is clean.
40 “And the man whose hair has fallen from his head, and is bald, is clean.
41 “And if his head loses the hair on his forehead, and is bald there, he is clean.
42 “But if there is on the bald head, or on the bald forehead, a white reddish sore, it is a leprosy springing on his bald head, or on his bald forehead.
43 “Therefore, the priest shall examine it. And if the swelling of the sore is white reddish on his bald head, or on his bald forehead, appearing like leprosy on the skin of the flesh,
44 “he is a leper and unclean. The priest shall pronounce him entirely unclean. For the sore is on his head.
45 “Also, the leper in whom the plague is shall have his clothes torn, and his head shaved, and shall put a covering upon his lips, and shall cry, “I am unclean! I am unclean!”.
46 “As long as the disease shall be upon him, he shall be polluted. He is unclean. He shall dwell alone. His habitation shall be outside the camp.
47 “Also, the garment that the plague of leprosy is in, whether it is a woolen garment or a linen garment,
48 “whether it is in the warp or in the woof of linen or of woolen, either on a skin, or on anything made of skin,
49 “¬(and if the sore is green or somewhat reddish on the garment or on the skin, or in the warp or in the woof, or on anything that is made of skin) it is a plague of leprosy and shall be shown to the priest.
50 “Then the priest shall examine the plague and isolate that which has the plague for seven days,
51 “And he shall examine the plague on the seventh day. If the plague has grown in the garment or in the warp, or in the woof, or on the skin, or on anything that is made of skin, that plague is a fretting leprosy and unclean.
52 “And he shall burn the garment or the warp or the woof—whether it is woolen or linen or anything that is made of skin—wherein the plague is. For it is a fretting leprosy. It shall be burnt in the fire.
53 “But if the priest sees that the plague has not grown on the garment, or in the woof, or on whatever thing of skin it is,
54 “then the priest shall command them to wash the thing in which the plague is; and he shall isolate it for seven more days.
55 “Again, the priest shall examine the plague after it is washed. And if the plague has not changed its color, even though the plague has spread no further, it is unclean. You shall burn it in the fire. It is a leprous decay, whether outside or inside.
56 “And if the priest sees that the plague is darker after it is washed, he shall cut it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof.
57 “And if it still appears on the garment or in the warp, or in the woof, or on anything made of skin, it is a spreading leprosy. You shall burn the plague-infested thing in the fire.
58 “If you have washed the garment, or the warp, or the woof, or whatever thing of skin it is—if the plague has departed from it—then it shall be washed a second time and be clean.
59 “This is the Law of the Plague of Leprosy in a garment of woolen or linen, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin, to make it clean or unclean.”
15 LORD, who shall dwell in Your Tabernacle? Who shall rest on Your Holy Mountain?
2 He who walks uprightly and works righteousness and speaks the truth in his heart;
3 he who does not slander with his tongue, nor do evil to his neighbor, nor receive a false report against his neighbor;
4 in whose eyes a vile person is despised; but honors those who fear the LORD. He who swears to his own injury yet does not change.
5 He who does not give his money to usury, nor takes reward against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved. Michtam of David.
16 Preserve me, O God. For in You do I trust.
2 O my soul, you have said to the LORD, “You are my LORD. My goodness is not, but for You.”
3 To the saints who are on the Earth, and to the excellent, all my delight is in them.
4 The sorrows of those who offer to another god shall be multiplied. Their offerings of blood I will not offer; nor make mention of their names with my lips.
5 The LORD is the portion of my inheritance, and of my cup. You shall maintain my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Indeed, I have a fair heritage.
7 I will praise the LORD Who has given me counsel. My core also teaches me in the nights.
8 I have set the LORD always before me. For He is at my right hand. Therefore, I shall not slide.
9 Therefore, my heart is glad. And my tongue rejoices. My flesh, also, rests in hope.
10 For You will not leave my soul in the grave. Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
11 You will show me the path of life. In Your presence is the fullness of joy. And at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. The prayer of David.
27 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.
3 A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty. But a fool’s wrath is heavier than them both.
4 Anger is cruel, and wrath raging. But who can stand before envy?
5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.
6 The wounds of a friend are faithful. But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
7 The person that is full rejects a honeycomb. But to the hungry soul, every bitter thing is sweet.
8 As a bird that wanders from her nest, so is a man who wanders from his own place.
9 As ointment and perfume rejoice the heart, so does the sweetness of hearty counsel by a man’s friend.
10 Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend; nor enter into your brother’s house on the day of your calamity. For better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far off.
11 My son, be wise, and rejoice my heart; so that I may answer him who reproaches me.
12 A prudent man sees the plague and hides himself. But the foolish proceed and are punished.
13 Take the garment of him who is surety for a stranger; and a pledge of him for a strange woman.
14 He who praises his friend with a loud voice (rising early in the morning), it shall be counted to him as a curse.
15 A continual dropping on a rainy day, and a contentious woman, are alike.
16 Whoever hides her, hides the wind, and the oil in his right hand calls out.
17 Iron sharpens iron. So does a man sharpen the face of his friend.
18 He who keeps the fig tree, shall eat the fruit thereof. So he who waits upon his master, shall come to honor.
19 As in water, face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects man.
20 Hell and destruction can never be full; so the eyes of man can never be satisfied.
21 As is the refining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold, so is every man according to his praise.
22 Though you should grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle, among wheat, still his foolishness will not depart from him.
23 Be diligent to know the state of your flock. And pay attention to the herds.
24 For riches do not always remain, nor does the crown from generation to generation.
25 The hay presents itself and the grass appears. And the herbs of the mountains are gathered.
26 The lambs are for your clothing, and the goats for the price of the field.
27 And let the milk of the goats be sufficient for your food; for the food of your family and for the sustenance of your maids.
1 Paul and Silvanus, and Timothy, To the Church of the Thessalonians, which is in God our Father, and in the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Grace be with you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We ought to thank God always for you, brothers (as is fitting), because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you toward each other abounds.
4 So that we ourselves rejoice over you in the churches of God because of your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you suffer.
5 (a sign of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer).
6 For it is a righteous thing with God to repay those who trouble you with tribulation.
7 And to you who are troubled: rest with us when the Lord Jesus shall show Himself from Heaven with His mighty angels
8 in flaming fire, rendering vengeance on those who do not know God and who do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ;
9 who shall be punished with everlasting perdition from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power
10 when He shall, on that Day, come to be glorified in His saints and made marvelous in all those who believe, because our testimony toward you was believed.
11 Therefore, we pray always for you that our God may make you worthy of this calling and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith, with power;
12 so that the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
