Exodus 35

35 Then Moses assembled all the Congregation of the children of Israel, and said to them, “These are the words which the LORD has commanded, that you should do them:

“Six days shall you work, but the seventh day shall be to you the Holy Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does work thereon, shall die.

“Upon the Sabbath day, you shall kindle no fire throughout all your habitations.”

Again, Moses spoke to all the Congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which the LORD commands, saying,

‘Take an offering to the LORD, from among you. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring this offering to the LORD: gold, silver, and copper,

“blue silk, and purple, and scarlet, fine linen and goats’ hair,

“rams’ skins (dyed red) and badgers’ skins (with shittim wood),

“oil for light, spices (for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense),

“onyx stones and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate.

10 “And all the wise-hearted among you shall come and make all that the LORD has commanded:

11 “the Tabernacle and its pavilion, its covering, its clasps, its boards, its poles, its pillars, and its sockets,

12 “the Ark and its poles, the Mercy Seat and the veil that covers it,

13 “the Table and its poles and all its instruments, the Showbread,

14 “the Lampstand for light, its instruments and its lamps with the oil for the light,

15 “the Altar of Incense and its poles, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the veil of the door at the entrance of the Tabernacle,

16 “the Altar of Burnt Offering with its copper grate, its poles, all its instruments, the basin and its pedestal,

17 “the hangings of the court, its pillars, its sockets, the veil of the gate of the court,

18 “the pegs of the Tabernacle, the pegs of the court (with their cords),

19 “the ministering garments to minister in the Holy Place, the holy garments of Aaron the Priest and the garments of his sons, so that they may minister in the Priest’s office.”

20 Then, all the Congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

21 And everyone whose heart encouraged him, and everyone whose spirit made him willing, came and brought an offering to the LORD for the work of the Tabernacle of the Congregation and for all its uses and for the holy garments.

22 Both men and women, as many as were of a willing heart, came and brought clasps and earrings and rings and bracelets (all jewels of gold). So was everyone who offered an offering of gold to the LORD.

23 Also, every man who had blue silk, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen and goats’ hair, and rams’ skins (dyed red) and badgers’ skins, brought them.

24 All who offered an oblation of silver, and of copper, brought the offering to the LORD. And everyone who had shittim wood for any kind of ministry work, brought it.

25 And all the skilled women spun with their hands and brought the spun work: the blue silk, the purple, the scarlet, and fine linen.

26 Likewise, all the women whose hearts were moved with skill, spun goats’ hair.

27 And the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate,

28 and spice and oil (for light and for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense).

29 Every man and woman of the children of Israel whose hearts had moved them to willingly contribute to all the work which the LORD had commanded them to make (by the hand of Moses), brought a free offering to the LORD.

30 Then Moses said to the children of Israel, “Behold, the LORD has called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

31 “And He has filled him with an excellent spirit of wisdom—of understanding, and of knowledge, in all manner of workmanship—

32 “to create ingenious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in copper,

33 “in cutting and setting stones, in woodcarving, and the making of any type of fine work.

34 “And He has put in his heart the ability to teach others—both he and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

35 “He has filled them with skill to create all types of engraving and embroidery and needle work, in blue silk, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen and weaving, to do all kinds of work and design.”

John 14

14 “Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me.

“In My Father’s House are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

“And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there may you be also.

“And where I go, you know; and the way you know.”

Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we don’t know where You’re going. How, then, can we know the way?”

Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, if not by Me.

“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. And henceforth, you know Him, and have seen Him.”

Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it will satisfy us.”

Jesus said to him, “I have been with you such a long time, and have you not known Me, Philip? Whoever has seen Me, has seen the Father. How then can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of Myself. But the Father who dwells in Me, He does the works.

11 “Believe Me, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me. At the least, believe Me for the very works’ sake.

12 “Truly, truly I say to you, whoever believes in Me, the works that I do, he shall do also, and greater than these shall he do. For I go to My Father.

13 “And whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do; so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 “If you shall ask anything in My Name, I will do it.

15 “If you love Me, keep My Commandments.

16 “And I will ask the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may be with you forever;

17 the Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him. For He dwells with you and shall be in you.

18 “I will not leave you fatherless. I will come to you.

19 “Yet a little while, and the world shall see Me no more. But you shall see Me. Because I live, you shall live also.

20 “At that day, you shall know that I am in My Father; and you in Me; and I in you.

21 Whoever has My Commandments, and keeps them, is he who loves Me. And whoever loves Me, shall be loved by My Father. And I will love him and will show Myself to him.”

22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, why do You show Yourself to us, and not to the world?”

23 Jesus answered, and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him. And We will come to him and will dwell with him.

24 “Whoever does not love Me, does not keep My Words. And the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s, Who sent Me.

25 “These things I have spoken to you, being present with you.

26 “But the Comforter (Who is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My Name) He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance which I have told you.

27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor fear.

28 “You have heard how I said to you, ‘I go away, and will come to you’. If you loved Me, you would truly rejoice, because I said, ‘I go to the Father’, for the Father is greater than Me.

29 “And now have I spoken to you before it comes, so that when it has happened you might believe.

30 “I will no longer speak many things to you. For the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in Me,

31 “But that the world may know that I love My Father. And as the Father has commanded Me, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.”

Proverbs 11

11 False balances are an abomination to the LORD. But a perfect weight pleases Him.

When pride comes, then comes shame. But wisdom is with the lowly.

The uprightness of the just shall guide them. But the crookedness of the transgressors shall destroy them.

Riches do not avail on the Day of Wrath. But righteousness delivers from death.

The righteousness of the upright shall direct his way. But the wicked shall fall in his own wickedness.

The righteousness of the just shall deliver them. But the transgressors shall be taken in their own wickedness.

When the wicked die, hope perishes. And the hope of the unjust shall perish.

The righteous escapes out of trouble. And it comes to the wicked instead.

A hypocrite hurts his neighbor with his mouth. But the righteous shall be delivered by knowledge.

10 In the prosperity of the righteous, the city rejoices. And when the wicked perish, there is joy.

11 By the blessing of the righteous the city is exalted. But it is subverted by the mouth of the wicked.

12 He who despises his neighbor, is destitute of wisdom. But a man of understanding will keep silence.

13 He who goes about as a slanderer, discovers a secret. But he who is of a faithful heart, conceals a matter.

14 Where no counsel is, the people fall. But where many counselors are, there is health.

15 He shall suffer who is a guarantor for a stranger. And he who hates guaranty, is sure.

16 A gracious woman attains honor. And the strong men attain riches.

17 He who is merciful rewards his own soul. But he who troubles his own flesh, is cruel.

18 The wicked work a deceitful work. But he who sows righteousness, shall receive a sure reward.

19 As righteousness leads to life, so he who follows evil seeks his own death.

20 Those who are of a perverse heart, are abomination to the LORD. But those who are upright in their way, are His delight.

21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished. But the seed of the righteous shall escape.

22 As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman who lacks discretion.

23 The desire of the righteous is only good; the hope of the wicked, indignation.

24 There is one who scatters and is more increased. But one who spares more than is right, surely comes to poverty.

25 The liberal person shall have plenty. And he who waters, shall also have rain.

26 He who withholds the corn, the people will curse. But blessing shall be upon the head of him who sells corn.

27 He who seeks good things, gets favor. But he who seeks evil, it shall come to him.

28 He who trusts in his riches, shall fall. But the righteous shall flourish as a leaf.

29 He who troubles his own house, shall inherit the wind. And the fool shall be servant to the wise in heart.

30 The fruit of the righteous is as a tree of life. And he who wins souls is wise.

31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed on the Earth; how much more the wicked and the sinner?

Ephesians 4

I, therefore, being the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk worthily of the calling to which you were called,

with all humility and gentleness; with patience, bearing with one another in love,

being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called into one hope of your vocation,

one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism,

one God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in all.

But to every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Therefore it says, “When He ascended upon high, He captured captivity and gave gifts to man.

(Now, in that He ascended, what is it but that He had also descended first into the lowest parts of the Earth?

10 He Who descended is also the same Who ascended far above all heavens, so that He might complete all things.)

11 He, indeed, gave some to be Apostles and some Prophets and some Evangelists and some Pastors and Teachers,

12 for the preparing of the Saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edification of the body of Christ

13 until we all reach the unity of faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature belonging to the fullness of Christ.

14 So that we are henceforth children no more, wavering and carried about with every wind of doctrine and by the deceit of men, who with craftiness lay in wait to deceive.

15 But let us speak the truth in love. And in all things grow up into Him Who is the Head, Christ,

16 by Whom all the body, being coupled and knit together by the supply of every joint, according to the measure of each individual part, makes increase to the body, to the edifying of itself in love.

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord: that you henceforth do not walk as other Gentiles walk (in the frivolity of their mind,

18 having their understanding darkened, and being strangers to the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart);

19 who, having grown numb to all feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness for the working of uncleanness with all greediness.

20 But, you have not so learned Christ,

21 if indeed you have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, just as truth is in Jesus.

22 As for your past life, you are to cast off the old man who is being corrupted through deceitful desires,

23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

24 And put on the new man, who has been created according to God for righteousness and true holiness.

25 Therefore, having laid aside lying, everyone speak truth to his neighbor. For we are members one of another.

26 Be angry, but do not sin. Do not let the Sun go down upon your irritation,

27 nor give place to the devil.

28 Let him who stole, steal no more. But rather, let him labor and work with his hands that which is good, so that he may have something to give to those in need.

29 Let no worthless word proceed out of your mouth, but only if it is good for edification, so that it may give grace to those who hear.

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in Whom you are sealed for the Day of Redemption.

31 Let all bitterness and fury and anger, clamor and slander, be taken from you, along with all wickedness.

32 Be kind one to another, and tender-hearted, freely forgiving one another; even as God, for Christ’s sake, freely forgave you.
