M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
31 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Behold, I have called Bezalel by name, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
3 “I have filled him with the Spirit of God—in wisdom and in understanding and in knowledge and in all workmanship—
4 “to design artistic works (to work in gold and in silver and in copper)
5 “with the cutting of stones, the carving of wood, and in all manner of workmanship.
6 “And behold, I have given him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. And I have put wisdom into the hearts of all who are wise-hearted, to make all that I have commanded you:
7 “the Tabernacle of the Congregation, the Ark of the Testimony and the Mercy Seat that shall be upon it, with all instruments of the Tabernacle,
8 “the Table and its instruments, the pure Lampstand with all its instruments, the Altar of Incense,
9 “the Altar of Burnt Offering with all its instruments, the Basin with its pedestal,
10 “the garments of the ministration, the holy garment for Aaron the Priest and the garments of his sons (to minister in the Priest’s office),
11 “and the anointing oil and sweet incense for the Sanctuary. They shall do according to all that I have commanded you.”
12 Afterward the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
13 “Also, speak to the children of Israel, and say, ‘Nevertheless, keep My Sabbaths. For it is a sign between Me and you, in your generations, so that you may know that I, the LORD, sanctify you.
14 ‘Therefore, you shall keep the Sabbath. For it is holy to you. He who defiles it shall die the death. Therefore, whoever works thereon, that same person shall be cut off from among his people.
15 ‘Six days you shall work; but the seventh day is the Sabbath of holy rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, shall die the death.
16 ‘Therefore, the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, so that they may observe this rest throughout their generations, for an everlasting Covenant.
17 ‘It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel, forever. For in six days the LORD made the sky and the Earth. And on the seventh day, He ceased and rested.’”
18 Thus (when the LORD had ended communing with Moses upon Mount Sinai) He gave him two Tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.
10 “Truly, truly I say to you, the one who does not enter in by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up another way, he is a thief and a robber.
2 “But the one who goes in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 “To him the doorkeeper opens. And the sheep hear his voice. And he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 “And when he has sent forth his own sheep, he goes before them. And the sheep follow him. For they know his voice.
5 “And they will not follow a stranger. But they flee from him. For they do not know the voice of strangers.”
6 Jesus spoke this parable to them. But they did not understand what it was He was saying to them.
7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly I say to you, I am that Door of the sheep.
8 “All that ever came before Me are thieves and robbers. But the sheep did not hear them.
9 “I am that Door. If anyone enters in by Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in, and go out, and find pasture.
10 “The thief does not come, if not to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they might have life and have it in abundance.
11 “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd gives His life for His sheep.
12 “But the hired servant (who is not the shepherd, nor are the sheep his own) sees the wolf coming and he leaves the sheep and flees. And the wolf catches them and scatters the sheep.
13 “So the hired servant flees because he is a hired servant and does not care for the sheep.
14 “I am the Good Shepherd, and know My own, and am known by My own.
15 “As the Father knows Me, so I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.
16 “I have other sheep also, which are not of this fold. I must also bring them. And they shall hear My voice. And there shall be one sheepfold, with one Shepherd.
17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again.
18 “No one takes it from Me. But I lay it down on My own. I have authority to lay it down and have authority to take it again. I have received this Commandment from My Father.”
19 Again, there was a dissension among the Jews because of these sayings.
20 And many of them said, ‘He has a demon, and is insane. Why listen to Him?’
21 Others said, ‘These are not the words of one who has a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?’
22 And at Jerusalem was the Feast of the Dedication. And it was winter.
23 And Jesus walked in the Temple, in Solomon’s porch.
24 Then the Jews came around Him, and said to Him, “How long will You hold us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you did not believe it. The works that I do in My Father’s Name, they bear witness of Me.
26 “But you did not believe it. For you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.
27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
28 “And I give them eternal life. And they shall never perish, nor shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
29 “My Father, Who gave them to Me, is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
30 “I and My Father are One.”
31 Then the Jews took up stones again, to stone Him.
32 Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from My Father. For which of these works do you stone Me?”
33 The Jews answered Him, saying, “We do not stone You for a good work, but for blasphemy; and that you, being a Man, make Yourself God!”
34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’?
35 “If he called them gods (to whom the Word of God has come) and the Scripture cannot be broken,
36 do you say of Him Whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme’, because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
37 “If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me.
38 “But if I do, then even though you do not believe Me, believe the works; so that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”
39 Again they sought to take Him. But He escaped out of their hands.
40 And again He went beyond Jordan, into the place where John first baptized, and stayed there.
41 And many came to Him, and said, “John did no miracle. But all things that John spoke about this Man were true.”
42 And many believed in Him there.
7 My son, keep my words, and hide my commandments with you.
2 Keep my commandments, and you shall live; and my instruction, as the apple of your eyes.
3 Bind them upon your fingers. Write them upon the tablet of your heart.
4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister”. And call understanding, “kinswoman”.
5 That they may keep you from the strange woman; from the strange who is smooth in her words.
6 As in the window of my house, I looked through my window.
7 And I saw among the fools, considered among the children, a young man destitute of understanding.
8 Who passed through the street by her corner and went toward her house;
9 in the twilight, in the evening, when the night began to be black and dark.
10 And behold, he was met by a woman with a harlot’s behavior, and subtle in heart.
11 (She is babbling and loud. Her feet cannot stay in her house.
12 Now outside. Now in the streets; lying in wait at every corner)
13 So she caught him and kissed him. And with an impudent face, said to him,
14 “I have peace offerings. Today I have paid my vows.
15 “Therefore I came forth to meet you, that I might seek your face. And I have found you.
16 “I have decked my bed with ornaments, carpets and laces of Egypt.
17 “I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18 “Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning. Let us take our pleasure in dalliance.
19 “For my husband is not at home. He is gone on a far-off journey.
20 “He has taken with him a bag of silver and will come home at the day appointed.”
21 Thus with her great craftiness she caused him to yield. And with her flattering lips she enticed him.
22 And he followed her immediately, as an ox that goes to the slaughter; and as a fool to the stocks for correction,
23 till an arrow strikes through his liver. As a bird hastes to the snare, not knowing that he is in danger.
24 Hear me now, therefore, O children, and listen to the words of my mouth.
25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways. Do not wander in her paths.
26 For she has caused many to fall down wounded; the strong men all slain by her.
27 Her house is the way to the grave which goes down to the chambers of death.
6 Brothers, even if a man should be overcome in some offense, you who are spiritual restore such one with the spirit of humility, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.
2 Bear one another’s burden, and so fulfill the Law of Christ.
3 For if anyone seems to himself something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
4 But let everyone test his own work. And then shall he boast in himself only and not in another.
5 For everyone shall bear his own burden.
6 Let the one who is taught in the Word make the one who has taught him a partaker of all good things.
7 Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap.
8 For the one who sows to his flesh, shall reap destruction of the flesh. But the one who sows to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 Let us not, therefore, be weary of well-doing. For in due season we shall reap, if we do not grow weary.
10 Therefore, while we have time, let us do good to all; and now especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
11 You see how large the letters are which I have written to you with my own hand.
12 As many as desire to have a fair appearance in the flesh, they urge you to be circumcised, only because they would not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
13 For they themselves who are circumcised do not keep the Law, but desire to have you circumcised, so that they might boast in your flesh.
14 But may it never be that I should boast in anything but the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ; whereby the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world!
15 For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creature.
16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace shall be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
17 From henceforth let no one give me trouble. For I bear on my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
18 Brothers, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
