M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
7 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I have made you as Pharaoh’s god. And your brother, Aaron, shall be your prophet.
2 “You shall speak all that I commanded you. And Aaron, your brother, shall tell Pharaoh to let the children of Israel go out of his land.
3 “But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and multiply My miracles and My wonders in the land of Egypt.
4 “And Pharaoh shall not listen to you, so that I may lay My hand upon Egypt and bring My armies (My people, the children of Israel) out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 “Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth My hand upon Egypt and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”
6 Then, Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so they did.
7 Now, Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three, when they spoke to Pharaoh.
8 And the LORD had spoken to Moses and Aaron, saying,
9 “If Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves’, then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh.’ And it shall be turned into a serpent.”
10 Then Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD had commanded. And Aaron cast forth his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it was turned into a serpent.
11 Then, Pharaoh also called for the wise men and sorcerers. And those charmers of Egypt also did the same with their enchantments.
12 For every man cast down his rod, and they were turned into serpents. But Aaron’s rod devoured their rods.
13 So, Pharaoh’s heart was hardened and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said.
14 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is obstinate. He refuses to let the people go.
15 “Go to Pharaoh in the morning (lo, he will come forth to the water); and you shall stand and meet him by the river’s edge. And you shall take in your hand the rod which was turned into a serpent.
16 “And you shall say to him, ‘The LORD God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, “Let My people go so that they may serve Me in the wilderness.” And behold, you would not hear until now.
17 ‘Thus says the LORD: “In this you shall know that I am the LORD!” Behold, with the rod that is in my hand I will strike the water that is in the river; and it shall be turned into blood.’
18 “And the fish that is in the river shall die. And the river shall stink. And it shall grieve the Egyptians to drink of the water of the river.”
19 The LORD then spoke to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their streams, over their rivers, and over their ponds, and over all pools of their waters; and they shall be blood.’ And there shall be blood throughout the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and of stone.”
20 So, Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD commanded. And he lifted up the rod and struck the water that was in the river in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants. And all the water that was in the river was turned into blood.
21 And the fish that were in the river died, and the river stank, so that the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river. And there was blood throughout the land of Egypt.
22 And the enchanters of Egypt did the same with their sorceries. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, so that he did not listen to them (as the LORD had said).
23 Then Pharaoh returned and went back into his house; and this still did not enter into his heart.
24 All the Egyptians then dug all around the river for waters to drink (for they could not drink the water of the river).
25 And this continued a full seven days after the LORD had struck the river.
10 After these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others and sent them, two by two, before Him into every city and place where He Himself would come.
2 And He said to them, “The harvest is great, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
3 “Go your ways. Behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.
4 “Carry no money bag, nor sack, nor shoes, and greet no one on the way.
5 “And into whatever house you enter, say first, ‘Peace to this house.’
6 “And if a son of peace is there, your peace shall rest upon him. If not, it shall return to you again.
7 “And remain in that same house, eating and drinking what they give. For the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
8 “But into whatever city you shall enter, if they receive you, eat what is set before you,
9 “and heal the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The Kingdom of God has come near to you.’
10 “But in whatever city you enter, if they will not receive you, go out into the streets of that city, and say,
11 “‘Even the very dust of your city, which clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless, know this: that the Kingdom of God has come near to you.’
12 “For I say to you that it shall be easier on that Day for those of Sodom, than for that city.
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles which have been done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 “Therefore it shall be easier for Tyre and Sidon at the Judgment than for you.
15 “And you, Capernaum, who is exalted to Heaven, shall be thrust down to Hades.
16 “The one who hears you, hears Me. And the one who despises you, despises Me. And the one who despises Me, despises Him Who sent Me.”
17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your Name!”
18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall down, like lightning, from Heaven.
19 “Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall hurt you.
20 “Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this: that the spirits obey you. But rather, rejoice because your names are written in Heaven.”
21 That same hour, Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, “I confess to You, Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, because it so pleased You.
22 “All things are given to Me by My Father. And no one knows Who the Son is, except the Father; nor Who the Father is, except the Son and him to whom the Son wishes to reveal Him.”
23 And He turned to His disciples, and said secretly, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
24 “For I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which you see and have not seen them; and to hear those things which you hear, and have not heard them.”
25 Then behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tempted Him, saying, “Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 And He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?”
27 And he answered and said, “You shall love your Lord God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your thought, and your neighbor as yourself.”
28 Then He said to him, “You have answered right. Do this, and you shall live.”
29 But he, wishing to justify himself, said to Jesus, “Who, then, is my neighbor?”
30 And Jesus answered, and said, “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves. And they robbed him of his clothes and wounded him and departed, leaving him half-dead.
31 “Now by chance, a certain priest came down that same way. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 “And likewise, a Levite, when he had come near the place, went and looked, and passed by on the other side.
33 “Then a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came near him. And when he saw him, he had compassion on him.
34 “And he went to him and bound up his wounds and poured in oil and wine. And he put him on his own beast and brought him to an Inn and made provision for him.
35 “And the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the host, and said to him, ‘Take care of him. And whatever more you spend I will repay when I return.’
36 “Now, which of these three do you think was a neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”
37 And he said, “The one who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go, and do likewise.”
38 Now it happened that as they went, He entered into a certain town. And a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard His preaching.
40 But Martha was distracted by much serving. And she came to Him, and said, “Master, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore, command her to help me.”
41 And Jesus answered, and said to her, “Martha, Martha. You are anxious and troubled about many things.
42 “But one thing is needed, Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
24 “How should not the times be hidden from the Almighty, seeing that those who know Him do not see
2 “Some remove the landmarks, those who rob the flocks and feed on them.
3 “They lead away the donkey of the fatherless and take the widow’s ox to pledge.
4 “They make the poor turn out of the way, so that the poor of the Earth hide themselves together.
5 “Behold, others as wild donkeys in the wilderness go forth to their business and rise early for a prey. The wilderness gives him and his children food.
6 “They reap his provision in the field, but they gather the late vintage of the wicked.
7 “They cause the naked to lodge without garment, and without covering in the cold.
8 “They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and they embrace the rock for want of a covering.
9 “They pluck the fatherless from the breast and take the pledge of the poor.
10 “They cause him to go naked without clothing and take the gleaning from the hungry.
11 “Those who make oil between their walls, and tread their winepresses, suffer thirst.
12 “Men cry out of the city, and the souls of the slain cry out. Yet, God does not charge them with folly.
13 “These are those who abhor the light. They do not know its ways or continue in its paths.
14 “The murderer rises early and kills the poor and the needy. And in the night, he is as a thief.
15 “Also, the eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight, and says, ‘No eye shall see me,’ and disguises his face.
16 “They dig through houses in the dark which they marked for themselves in the day. They do not know the light.
17 “But the morning is as the shadow of death to them. Indeed, they are known in the terrors of the shadow of death.
18 “He is swift upon the waters. Their portion shall be cursed on the Earth. He will not behold the way of the vineyards.
19 “As the dry ground and heat consume the snow waters, so shall the grave the sinners.
20 “The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed on his sweetness. He shall be remembered no more, and the wicked shall be broken like a tree.
21 “He preys on the barren who does not bear, and does no good to the widow.
22 “But He draws the mighty by His power. When He rises up, no one is sure of life.
23 “Though men give Him assurance to be in safety, yet His eyes are upon their ways.
24 “They are exalted for a little, but they are gone and are brought low, as all others. They are destroyed and cut off, as the top of an ear of corn.
25 “But if it is not so, where is he? Who will prove me a liar and make my words of no value?”
11 Be followers of me, just as I am of Christ.
2 Now brothers, I praise you, that you remember all my things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
3 But I would have you know that Christ is the head of every man. And the head of the woman, man. And the head of Christ, God.
4 Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered dishonors his head.
5 Every woman who prays or prophesies bareheaded dishonors her head. For it is one and the same thing as if she were shaven.
6 Therefore, if the woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. And if it is shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7 For a man ought not to cover the head, being the image and glory of God. But the woman is the glory of the man.
8 For the man is not from the woman, but the woman from the man.
9 For the man was not created for the woman’s sake, but the woman for the man’s sake.
10 Because of this ought the woman to have power upon her head, because of the angels.
11 Nevertheless, neither is the man separate from the woman, nor the woman separate from the man, in the Lord.
12 For as the woman is from the man, so is the man also by the woman. But all things are from God.
13 Judge in yourselves, is it proper that a woman pray to God uncovered?
14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair it dishonors him?
15 But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her. For her hair is given her for a covering.
16 But if anyone is inclined to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God.
17 Now in this message I do not praise: that you come together, not for the better, but for the worse.
18 For first of all, I hear that there are divisions among you when you come together in the church. And in part I believe it.
19 For there must also be heresies among you, so that those who are approved might be known among you.
20 Therefore, when you come together into one place, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper.
21 For everyone, when he eats, takes his own supper beforehand. And one is hungry and another is drunk.
22 What!? Do you not have houses in which to eat and to drink? Or do you despise the Church of God and shame those who do not have? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you.
23 For I have received from the Lord that which I have also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus, in the night when he was betrayed, took bread.
24 And when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, “Take. Eat. This is My body, which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”
25 Also, in the same way, when He had eaten, He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the New Testament in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you shall eat this bread and drink this cup, you show the Lord’s death till He comes.
27 Therefore, whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink the cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be liable to the body and blood of the Lord.
28 Let every man therefore examine himself, and so let him eat of this bread, and drink of this cup.
29 For whoever eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks his own damnation, not discerning the Lord’s body.
30 For this reason, many among you are weak, and sick, and many sleep.
31 For if we were to judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, because we would not be condemned with the world.
33 Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34 And if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, that you do not come together to condemnation. I will set other things in order when I come.
