M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan
9 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Bring forth fruit, and multiply, and replenish the Earth.
2 “Also, the fear of you, and the dread of you, shall be upon every beast of the Earth, and upon every bird of the heaven, upon all that moves on the Earth, and upon all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered.
3 “Everything that moves and lives shall be food for you. Just as the green herb, I have given you all things.
4 But, flesh with the life thereof — with the blood thereof — you shall not eat.
5 For I will surely require your blood, wherein are your lives. At the hands of every beast will I require it; and at the hand of man, at the hand of a man’s brother, will I require the life of man.
6 Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed. For in the image of God has He made man.
7 But, bring forth fruit and multiply. Grow plentifully on the Earth; and increase therein.
8 Also, God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
9 “Behold, I, even I, establish My Covenant with you, and with your seed after you,
10 “and with every living creature that is with you — with the fowl, with the cattle, and with every beast of the Earth with you — from all that go out of the Ark, to every beast of the Earth.
11 “And I will establish My Covenant with you, so that from henceforth all flesh shall not be rooted out by the waters of the Flood; nor shall there be a Flood to destroy the Earth anymore.”
12 Then God said, “This is the sign of the Covenant which I make between Me and you, and between every living thing that is with you, to perpetual generations.
13 “I have set My bow in the cloud; and it shall be for a sign of the Covenant between the Earth and Myself.
14 “And when I shall cover the Earth with a cloud, and the bow shall be seen in the cloud,
15 “then I will remember My Covenant which is between Me and you, and between every living thing in all flesh. And there shall be no more waters of a Flood to destroy all flesh.
16 “Therefore, the bow shall be in the cloud, so that I may see it and remember the everlasting Covenant between God and every living thing, in all flesh that is upon the Earth.”
17 God also said to Noah, “This is the sign of the Covenant which I have established between all flesh that is upon the Earth and Myself.”
18 Now the sons of Noah, going out of the Ark, were Shem and Ham and Japheth. And Ham is the father of Canaan.
19 These are the three sons of Noah. And from them was the whole Earth overspread.
20 Also, Noah began to farm, and planted a vineyard.
21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunk, and was uncovered in the midst of his tent.
22 And when Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, he told his two brothers outside.
23 Then Shem and Japheth took a garment and put it upon both their shoulders and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father, with their faces backward. So, they did not see their father’s nakedness.
24 Then, Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his younger son had done to him,
25 and said, “Cursed is Canaan! A servant of servants shall he be to his brothers!”
26 He said, moreover, “Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and let Canaan be his servant!
27 “God enlarge Japheth, so that he may dwell in the tents of Shem; and let Canaan be his servant!”
28 And after the Flood, Noah lived three hundred and fifty years.
29 So, all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years; and he died.
10 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham and Japheth (to whom sons were born after the Flood).
2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.
3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
4 Also the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Dodanim.
5 Between these the isles of the Gentiles were divided in their lands (every man after his tongue, after their families, in their nations).
6 Moreover, the sons of Ham were Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.
7 And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabtechah. Also, the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
8 And Cush begat Nimrod, who began to be mighty on the Earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD. Therefore, it is said, “…as Nimrod, the mighty hunter before the LORD.”
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Out of that land came Assyria, and built Nineveh and the city Rehoboth and Calah,
12 also Resen (between Nineveh and Calah). This is a great city.
13 And Mizraim begat Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim,
14 also Pathrusim and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistines) and Caphtorims.
15 Also, Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth
16 and Jebusi and Emori and Girgashi
17 and Hivi and Arki and Sini
18 and Arvadi and Zemari and Hamathi. And afterward, the families of the Canaanites were scattered.
19 Then, the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon (as you come to Gerar, until Gaza, and as you go to Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim) all the way to Lasha.
20 These are the sons of Ham (according to their families, according to their tongues, in their countries, in their nations).
21 Also, to Shem (the father of all the sons of Eber and elder brother of Japheth) were children born.
22 The sons of Shem were Elam and Asshur and Arphaxad and Lud and Aram.
23 And the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.
24 Also, Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
25 Also, two sons were born to Eber. The name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the Earth divided. And his brother’s name was Joktan.
26 Then, Joktan begat Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah
27 and Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah
28 and Obal and Abimael and Sheba
29 and Ophir and Havilah and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha (as you go up to Sephar, a mount of the east).
31 These are the sons of Shem (according to their families, according to their tongues in their countries and nations).
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, among their people. And out of these were the nations divided on the Earth, after the Flood.
9 Then He entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into His own city.
2 And lo, they brought to Him a paralytic, laid on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good courage. Your sins are forgiven you.”
3 And behold, certain of the Scribes said among themselves, “This man blasphemes.”
4 And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil things in your hearts?
5 “For, which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you’ or ‘Arise, and walk’?
6 “But, so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on Earth to forgive sins (then He said to the paralytic) Arise! Take up your bed and go to your house!”
7 And he arose and departed to his own house.
8 So when the multitude saw it, they marveled, and glorified God, Who had given such authority to man.
9 And as Jesus went forth from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth, and said to him, “Follow Me.” And he arose and followed Him.
10 And it happened that as Jesus reclined in his house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners who came there sat down at the table with Jesus and His disciples.
11 And when the Pharisees saw that, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 Now when Jesus heard it, He said to them, “The healthy do not need the Physician, but those who are sick.
13 “But go and learn what this means, ‘I will have mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners, to repentance.”
14 Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees often fast, but Your disciples do not fast?”
15 And Jesus said to them, “Can the children of the marriage chamber lament as long as the Bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the Bridegroom shall be taken from them. And then they shall fast.
16 “Moreover, no one patches an old garment with a piece of unshrunk cloth. For that which patches it pulls away from the garment, and the breach is worsened.
17 “Nor do they put new wine into old vessels. For then the vessels would break, and the wine would be spilled. And the vessels would perish. But they put new wine into new vessels. And so, both are preserved.”
18 While He spoke to them, behold, a certain ruler came and worshipped Him, saying, “My daughter is now deceased. But come and lay Your hand on her, and she shall live.”
19 And Jesus arose and followed him, with His disciples.
20 And behold, a woman who had been diseased with an issue of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the hem of His garment.
21 For she said to herself, “If I may touch but His garment only, I shall be whole.”
22 Then Jesus turned around. And seeing her, He said, “Daughter, be encouraged. Your faith has made you whole.” And the woman was made whole at that same moment.
23 Now when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flutists and the multitude making noise,
24 He said to them, “Leave. For the maid is not dead, but sleeps.” And they laughed Him to scorn.
25 And when the multitude had been cast out, He went in and took her by the hand. And the maid arose.
26 And report of this went throughout all that land.
27 And as Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying, and saying, “O son of David! Have mercy upon us!”
28 And when He had come into the house, the blind came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” And they said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
29 Then, He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith may it be done to you.”
30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly instructed them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”
31 But once they had left, they spread the news about Him throughout all that land.
32 And as they went out, behold, they brought to Him a mute man, possessed with a demon.
33 And after the demon had been cast out, the mute spoke. Then the multitude marveled, saying, “Such was never seen in Israel!”
34 But the Pharisees said, “He casts out demons through the prince of demons.”
35 And Jesus went throughout all the cities and towns, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when He saw the multitude, He had compassion on them, because they were troubled and tossed aside, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then He said to His disciples, “Surely, the harvest is great. But the laborers are few.
38 “Therefore, pray that the Lord of the Harvest would send out laborers into His harvest!”
9 When these things were done, the rulers came to me, saying, “The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites are not separated from the people of the lands (as touching their abominations) —the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
2 “For they have taken their daughters to themselves, and to their sons. And they have mixed the holy seed with the people of the lands. And the hand of the princes and rulers have been chief in this trespass.”
3 But when I heard this saying, I tore my clothes and my garment, and plucked off the hair of my head, and of my beard, and sat down astonished.
4 And all who feared the Words of the God of Israel assembled to me there, because of the transgression of those of the captivity. And I sat down astonished until the evening Sacrifice.
5 And at the evening Sacrifice, I rose up from my heaviness. And when I had torn my clothes and my garment, I fell upon my knees and spread out my hands to the LORD my God,
6 and said, “O my God! I am confounded and ashamed to lift up my eyes to You, my God! For our iniquities have increased over our head! And our trespass has grown up to the heaven!
7 “From the days of our fathers we have been in a great trespass until this day. And we, our kings and our priests have, for our iniquities, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, into captivity, into a spoil, and into confusion of face, as it is this day!
8 “And now for a short time, grace has been shown from the LORD our God, in allowing a remnant to escape, and in giving us a nail in His Holy Place, so that our God may light our eyes and give us a little reviving in our servitude.
9 “For we were slaves. Yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage, but has inclined mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us life, and to erect the House of our God, and to redress its desolate places, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
10 “And now, our God, what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken Your Commandments
11 “which You have Commanded by your servants the Prophets, saying, ‘The land to which you go to possess is an unclean land, because of the filthiness of the people of the lands, which by their abominations and by their uncleanness have filled it from corner to corner.
12 ‘Now, therefore, you shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor shall you take their daughters for your sons, nor seek their peace nor wealth forever, so that you may be strong and eat the goodness of the land and leave it for an inheritance to your sons forever.’
13 “And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespasses, (seeing that You, our God, have stayed your Hand for our iniquities, and have given us such deliverance),
14 “should we return to break Your Commandments and join in marriage with the people of such abominations? Would You not be angry toward us until You had consumed us, so that there would be neither remnant nor any escaping?
15 “O LORD God of Israel! You are just! For we have been reserved to escape, as it is this day. Behold, we are before You in our trespass. Though we cannot stand before You because of it.”
9 And Saul, still breathing out threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the High Priest,
2 and asked for letters to Damascus, to the synagogues, so that if he found any who were of the Way, (either men or women) he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
3 Now as he journeyed, it so happened that as he drew near to Damascus, there suddenly shone around him a light from Heaven.
4 And he fell to the Earth, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?”
5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And the Lord said, “I am Jesus, Whom you persecute. It is hard for you to kick against goads.”
6 Then, both trembling and astonished, he said, “Lord, what will You have me do?” And the Lord said to him, “Arise, and go into the city. And it shall be told to you what you shall do.”
7 The men who journeyed with him also stood amazed - hearing the voice but seeing no one.
8 And Saul arose from the ground and opened his eyes but saw no man. Then, led they him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus,
9 where he was without sight for three days, and neither ate nor drank.
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Behold, I am here, Lord.”
11 Then the Lord said to him, “Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight. And look in the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus. For behold, he prays.”
12 “And in a vision, he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hands on him, so that he might receive his sight.”
13 Then Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man; how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.
14 “Moreover, here he has the authority of the chief priests to bind all that call on Your Name.”
15 Then the Lord said to him, “Go. For he is a vessel chosen by Me to bear My Name before the Gentiles, and Kings, and the children of Israel.
16 “For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My Name’s sake.”
17 Then Ananias went, and entered that house, and put his hands on him, and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, Who appeared to you on the way as you came, has sent me, so that you might receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Ghost.”
18 And immediately something like ‘scales’ fell from his eyes. And suddenly he received sight, and arose, and was baptized,
19 and received food and was strengthened. So, Saul was with the Damascus disciples for some days.
20 And immediately he preached Christ in the synagogues, that He was the Son of God.
21 So that all who heard him were amazed, and said, “Is not this he who harassed those who called on this Name in Jerusalem, and came here for that purpose, so that he could bring them bound to the chief priests?”
22 But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt at Damascus, confirming that this was the Christ.
23 And after that many days had passed, the Jews conspired to kill him.
24 But their plot was known by Saul. Now, they watched the gates day and night, so that they might kill him.
25 Then the disciples took him at night. And, by rope, they let him down through the wall in a basket.
26 And when Saul had come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join the disciples. But they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple.
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the Apostles, and told them how he had seen the Lord on the road. And that he had spoken to Him. And how he had spoken boldly at Damascus in the Name of Jesus.
28 And he was with them, coming in and going out, at Jerusalem.
29 And he spoke boldly in the Name of the Lord Jesus and spoke and disputed against the Hellenists. But they sought to kill him.
30 But when the brothers knew it, they brought him to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.
31 Then the Churches had rest through all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria, and were edified, and walked in the fear of the Lord, and were multiplied by the comfort of the Holy Ghost.
32 And it so happened that as Peter walked throughout all quarters, he also came to the saints who dwelt in Lydda.
33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been sick of the palsy and lying on a mat for eight years.
34 Then Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you whole. Arise, and make your bed.” And he arose immediately.
35 And all who dwelt in Lydda and Sharon, saw him, and turned to the Lord.
36 There was also a certain woman in Joppa, a disciple named Tabitha (which means ‘Dorcas’). She was full of good works and alms which she did.
37 And it so happened in those days that she fell sick and died. And after they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.
38 Now since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, asking that he not delay in coming to them.
39 Then Peter arose and came with them. And when he had come, they brought him into the upper room, where all the weeping widows stood by him and showed him the coats and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.
40 But Peter put them all out; and kneeled down, and prayed, and turned to the body, and said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes. And when she saw Peter, she sat up.
41 Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up, and called the saints and widows, and presented her alive.
42 And it was known throughout all Joppa. And many believed in the Lord.
43 And it so happened that he stayed in Joppa many days with one Simon, a tanner.
