信心使我們勝過世界
5 凡信耶穌是基督的，都是從 神生的，凡愛那生他的，也必愛那從他而生的。 2 我們若愛 神，並且遵行他的命令，就知道我們是愛 神的兒女了。 3 我們遵守 神的命令，就是愛他了；而且他的命令是不難遵守的， 4 因為凡從 神生的就勝過世界。使我們勝過世界的，就是我們的信心。 5 勝過世界的是誰呢？不就是那信耶穌是 神的兒子的嗎？
神為他兒子作的見證
6 那藉著水和血來的就是耶穌基督，不是單用水，而是用水又用血；作見證的是聖靈，因為聖靈就是真理。
