Daily Reading for Personal Growth, 40 Days with God
[a]Let no man say when he is [b]tempted, I am tempted of God: [c]for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own concupiscence, and is enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth [d]sin, and sin when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
[e]Err not my dear brethren.
Every good giving and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the [f]Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither [g]shadow of turning.
[h]Of his own [i]will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be as the [j]firstfruits of his creatures.
