5 愿你们的温和为众所周知。主就要来了。 6 你们不要有任何忧虑。不论在什么情况下，都要带着感恩的心向上帝祈祷和请求，请上帝赐给你们所需要的东西。 7 平安来自上帝，这是凡人所不能理解的，这平安会在基督耶稣里保护你们的心灵和意念。
8 兄弟们，让你们的内心充满真诚、高尚、正义、纯洁、美好，以及所有的美德和令人称赞的事情吧。 9 坚持做你们从我这里学到、领受到的，或听到、见到的事情。赐给你们平安的上帝会与你们同在。
